If you pull this little switch here, the top will go down and you’ll have yourself a convertible, that way you’ll have more chances to interact with ponies from inside your car.” Thundy explained.

Two ponies lay on their beds. Nopony is deep in thought about the implications of the existence of an alicorn looking like Twilight Sparkle with the mind of a human from another world. Tree Song reads a book. After some time they both drift to sleep.

The mayor smiles. "Just the kind of feature I would expect from a classy car like this. Well, I think that just about covers it. I'm willing to take over now, and maybe we can swing back and pick Chelsea up for sandwiches. It'll be my treat, of course!"

"Alright Mayor, take us back to the shop and then we'll get Chelsea to go grab some sandwiches." Thundy said as he put the car in park and got out. He waited for Mayor White to get out the passenger side.

Mayor White switches places with Thundy. His driving is a little rough, but true to his word, he takes it slow while he gets use to driving again. He even decides to leave the top down, simply because it's nice.

Eventually, they make it back to Thundy's garage, and the mayor waves. "Ms. Chelsea! We have returned! Join us for sandwiches?"

Chelsea was working on tuning her 370z when she heard the Mayor’s voice. Her pony ears perked up and she turned to the two. “Mmm, sounds good.” She said with a smile on her face as she walked towards Mayor White’s new car and got in the backseat.

With a big smile on his face, the mayor drives away once Chelsea joins them.

Minutes later, they arrive at a sandwich house. The mayor orders his hay and mayo sandwiches with extra pickles, and gladly picks up the tab for Chelsea and Thundy. Although, he is tempted to give his sandwiches away to some hungry-looking foals... "Well, I suppose this is the best way to end such a wonderful day. Hopefully tomorrow will be full of even more joyous events."

As nightfall had made it's presence known, the couple had begun to drive back to the center of town. Getting the directions from Bluebell, the gaming unicorn had pulled up towards the inn that the bespectacled mare was staying at. Parking to avoid any issues with others, Dynamo had turned off the car and made his exit. Opening the trunk as he closed the driver-side door. As he grabbed their bags and belongings from the carnival, Dynamo had opened the door once more for Bluebell to exit. Upon hearing her question, Dynamo had nearly dropped their bags in shock. A blush creeping up to his cheeks as he thought he had misheard her. He honestly wasn’t expecting that sort of question. Based on what he thought of her question, then it meant that she was asking him to stay over. He still couldn’t help in wondering if it would be okay. Granted, she had asked him, so she must have been okay with him staying. If he could be honest with himself, he didn't truly want to part ways with her after the day they had together. “O-Okay and thank you. I usually don’t sleep with a nightcap, but I really appreciate the hospitality/gesture.” He responded, as if reading the question she was trying to ask him. He smiled softly, blushing up a storm as if he were a Hearth's Warming tree.

Bluebell smiled.  "C-come on up,y-y-you," she said,  taking some of the Items from the trunk, and leading Dynamo to her room.  She unlocked the door,  and ascended the stairs to a short hallway.  She headed to a door in the middle of the hallway and opened it.  Her living space was sparsely furnished, but clean and presentable. "W-w-we can put-put our things along-along side the s-sofa," she said.   After they did so,  Bluebell sat down on the sofa, and invited Dynamo to do the same.  After Dynamo settled in, she looked at him thoughtfully for a moment.

"How-how do I begin to s-s-s-say this?  From the f-first few minutes I saw y-you, I began to feel connected to you.  I f-f-f-felt like our experiences were-were not f-far from each others'.  I was born th-th-the only un-unicorn in a town of earth p-p-ponies.  M-my parents didn't know or under-understand how t-t-to even raise or c-care for one.  They just tried to ma-ma-make me more like an-an earth pony.  They even tr-tr-tried having my h-horn removed.  When that didn't w-work,  they forbade me from using any-any magic.  That made ma-matters worse.  I was b-b-b-bullied and h-harassed at school.  It got so b-bad one day that I s-s-s-snapped and cast a spell that blew a h-hole through the wa-wall of the schoolhouse.  That's when-when my parents decided to send m-m-me away to-to a boarding school in Canterlot.  It-it wasn't much better there.  I was always being y-y-yelled at for 'acting like a d-d-dumb earth pony.'  One-one of the instructors there said that he-he was g-g-g-going to mark me as a f-f-failure.  The-the day after he said-said that, I left the boarding sch-school, and never re-returned.  I h-h-hid on the streets of c-Canterlot for the r-r-r-rest of my growing up until sp-Spike and Twilight found me.  Twilight taught m-m-me how to read, and you know the rest.  I've n-n-n-never thought that I could be a sp-special somepony.  Now, I'm f-f-falling in love with y-y-you, and I'm ho-ho-hoping you feel the s-s-s-same about me."  Bluebell wiped a tear from her eye.

Dynamo wondered if what Bluebell had suggested meant that he would stay the night. He didn't have another moment to think as he followed after Bluebell, who had taken some of the items they had won from the trunk. As they entered the inn, he looked around and noticed some ponies and creatures lounging around in the main hallway. He still continued to follow after the bespectacled mare as he didn't want to get lost. As she unlocked the door, they ascended the stairs to a short hallway. Upon reaching a door in the middle, he found himself entering her room. "P-Pardon the intrusion." He would say softly as he entered and closed the door behind him. As his eyes glanced around, he noticed how there wasn't much, but it was still presentable and tidy. "O-Okay and sounds like a plan." He nodded, moving their prizes over to the side of the sofa. Making sure there was a walkway for them to not trip or ruin their prizes. Placing the giant Pichu plush in an open chair, Dynamo moved over to sit next to Bluebell on the sofa.

He blushed slightly as he had wondered what would happen now. He was nervous, while trying to summon any form of words or sentences. Looking to Bluebell, Dynamo blinked as he noticed the thoughtful expression she had on her face. As he listened, she began to tell of what she had gone through in her past. He gasped as he heard the mention of her parents trying to remove her horn. Reaching a hoof up to where his horn was as he wouldn't wish that upon his greatest enemies. He frowned as a sorrowful expression formed upon his facial features. He hadn't expected someone to go through so much like he had. To him, his issues seemed so insignificant compared to hers. He smiled softly as Twilight and Spike were mentioned again. He now realized how she had met the two and how she found a family in Twilight, Spike and their parents. He gasped softly at the mention of Bluebell falling in love with him. His heartbeat began to pick up as he recalled all the moments they shared together. Now that he thought about it, they seemed really close during the days they spent together. Was that Bluebell giving hints, or was he just oblivious? Seeing the tear being wiped from her eye, Dynamo's hoof moved from his horn towards Bluebell.

"I'm really glad you told me all of this. I can't even begin to imagine how difficult it is to recall something troubling from one's past. From what you've said, I feel like I can understand what you've gone through. Especially when you said our experiences were not far from each other. I...I was born with this horn of mine." Dynamo looked towards the ground, his back legs dangling off of the sofa. As he looked up to his curved horn, he sighed. "My father was a pegasus and my mother was a unicorn. The only difference was that my mother had a regular horn like yours, but I was born with a curved horn. The doctor's ran through so many tests that they came to the conclusion that it was birth defect. Meaning that I may never be able to mold any kind of magic spell. My mother tried many ways to use a spell, but it was no such luck. Barely a spark or an aura would surface. I was bullied an harassed at my school growing up because of a lack of a cutie mark, or because of my horn, or even because I couldn't use magic. I know the meaning of the word 'failure' all too well." He took a shaky breath as he recounted the days of his youth. "There were three bullies in particular that always said my fate was to always be a failure. I always felt like I was going to have that word stick with me growing up. One day, I met my teacher when being chased from my bullies at an arcade and was shown the world of games. It was there I finally discovered my magic and cutie mark. My magic still needs a lot of work, but I feel like I now understand you a whole lot more."

As he spoke, his gaze met hers as he never broke eye contact. He wanted to show her that what he said was the truth and nothing but the truth. "I'm really sorry that you had to go through all of that. I was going to ask what were your parents like or what were their careers, but I guess what you said had answered my question. I'm honestly glad that you were able to find a better life when you met Princess Twilight and Spike. Now I understand what their connection to you is all about. One thing I can easily say is that you are not a failure. To me, you're smart, resourceful, funny, kind, sweet, caring, strong, and b-beautiful." He blushed as he knew what he wanted to say. He was scared as he knew he was about to take another risk, but he felt he could truly trust Bluebell. She had a way that made him feel sure of himself. "To tell you the truth? I never thought that I could find another special somepony again. From the first moment we met, I felt calm and self assured. Almost like someone truly believed in me and didn't give up on me. You have a way that makes me heart spark with such joy. The day we spent training together, the pendants, today and even what happened during the war with Snow Leopard. The moment you left and called out for help? I was so scared that I felt like I was going to lose you without telling you. I'm beginning to feel the same way, B-Bell. I'm falling in love with you too." He smiled softly, his cheeks lighting up like a Hearth's Warming Tree. Just then, an idea began to form in his mind. "Hey, Bluebell? Remember when we both tied in the ring toss? We both said that we were going to give a prize of whatever the other wanted. I have an idea of what I want, but can I trust you to close your eyes for just a moment?" He asks as he twiddled his front hooves.

Dynamo felt a bead of sweat form, before sliding down the side of his face like water flowing down a stream. Seeing the curious look Bluebell gave him made him feel nervous. As if he was up to something, but he knew it was good intentions for what he had in mind. As she closed her eyes, he took a deep breath to steel his resolve. He remembered her telling him that she had fallen in love with him and he fell in love with her, as well. Scooting over slightly towards her, he slowly leaned in until their noses were touching. He began to close his eyes, before gently placed his lips upon hers and caressing her cheek with his hoof. It only lasted a few seconds, before Dynamo pulled back from the kiss. However, to him, it felt like it lasted a lifetime. He removed his hoof from her cheek as his eyes glanced away slightly in worry. "I-I hope that was okay and I-I'm sorry about the sudden kiss. After we both said that we fell in love with each other, then I thought it would be okay to do that. I know this might be unfair, but there was another prize, or more so a question I wanted to ask." Clearing his throat, he eyes moved their way back towards Bluebell's gaze. No matter how fearful he could be, he could always feel calm whenever gazing upon the mare who captured his heart. "After the date that we had and after what we said to each other. I think it's only fair that I really want to ask you this. Miss Bluebell A. Shrub? Would you do me the honor in being my girlfriend and special somepony? I know I might not be all that much, but I want to do everything in my power to make you the happiest mare in all of Equestria. S-So, w-what do you say? Would you like to see where this road takes us?" He tried to keep clam, but he couldn't help himself as he shook slightly in his seat in fear/worry.

Bluebell looked at him a moment, and then without saying a word, she slowly took off her glasses and placed them on the end table.  She reached over and gently took his forelegs with her hooves and pulled him as she reclined on the sofa until she was lying on her back with Dynamo on top of her.  She wrapped her forelegs around him and kissed him a number of times on the his cheek, neck, and shoulder before finally going for it and kissing his mouth full-on.  Her horn took on a warm blue glow that bathed the room.  The Pichu began to float off the floor. and then the end table, and then the rest of the furniture, and then, finally the sofa.  It was a night to remember...

As he waited patiently with baited breath, he blinked as Bluebell had slowly took off her glasses. Even with her glasses on, he still thought her eyes looked beautiful. Seeing her eyes without her glasses allowed the gaming unicorn to see her clearly. Almost as if he had plunged into her pools of blue. Her eyes being a gateway to her very soul to which he could see certainty and nothing but true love. He blinked suddenly, taking a soft, yet sharp intake of breath as she took his forelegs with her hooves. At first, he thought she was going to pull him into her embrace, but it proved to be false as she reclined on the sofa. As he leaned overtop of the blue mare, he felt her forelegs wrap around him. A way of saying that he wasn't going anywhere, but Dynamo knew that he didn't want to go anywhere. To him, he felt as if he knew where he belonged. He blushed and smiled softly as he felt a number of kisses being placed all around him. Ranging from his cheek, neck and shoulders. He couldn't help in chuckling at how ticklish her kisses were. Smiling, while feeling a few tears of joy had welled up, before falling as he felt an overwhelming warmth in his heart. Was this what it truly felt like to be in love? One thing was for sure. He truly loved and cared about Bluebell with all of his heart and knew he had found somepony very special to him. She didn't answer his  previous question of being his girlfriend and special somepony, but actions spoke louder than words and Bluebell’s actions were loud and clear to him. 

Wrapping his forelegs around her, Dynamo returned her feeling with his own, as well as both the embrace, and the affection. Placing kisses upon her neck, shoulders, hooves, cheek, as well as her forehead, before kissing her mouth once more. The gaming unicorn could feel a warmth as Bluebell's magic aura bathed the room. Dynamo didn't realize it, but his horn began to glow with an orange aura. Complimenting the blue glow that bathed the room. He couldn't explain it, but he felt as if he was floating. What he didn't realize was that the sofa they were on had begun to float. To the young couple, it was a night to remember.

Trilby nods. "So rooms 146 and 148. I guess there are no odd numbers. Seems perfect! All right then. Goodnight, sweet fillies." Trilby bows like a gentlecolt. "I'll see you all first thing in the morning."

Trilby goes to his room and admires it. "Ooh. A nice big room. Plenty of space for two, actually..." Trilby hangs his hat and gets ready for bed. "I hope things go by smoothly tomorrow..."

"Oh yes, I am well aware of the roller coaster. A most impressive feat. I wonder if Mayor Black is aware of it... Back in my youth, my old home town use to have the occasional spring carnival. Rides, games, prizes, and all kinds of fun foods. It was an event and half, I tell you!" The mayor says. Probably can't mention his past as Chromatic Alfonz while he's out in public. The mayor soon finishes both of his sandwiches. "Ah... Just as good as I remember! Now, I get the feeling that before the night is over, somepony is going to have a major event cooked up. I might even get a call from City Hall about it. Usually it's that Samurai Equine fellow who has something up his sleeve. Will you both be ready, regardless of what it is?"

“You know Mayor White…I’m not sure if I told you this but…I was actually not born as a Griffon. See, I was born as a human on the planet Earth, and a freak accident was what turned me into a griffon…which almost caused my parents to abandon me…” Thundy said with a quiet sniffle. “Thundy did mention about taking everyone on a huge trip to the planet Earth so he could show them around.” Chelsea said, before taking another small bite of her sandwich.

"Sounds like quite the harrowing ordeal! But Thundy, my boy, so long as you are in Friendshire, you are an equal citizen like everypony else." The mayor does his best to put him at ease and lift his spirits. "That sounds like quite the trip to take. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I'll be able to make it. My duty is here, to the town of Friendshire. Unless something comes up that requires my presence there in your alternate reality, I believe it's best if I stay here to look after the town."

"Of course. Well I will be sure to take plenty and I mean plenty of photos so I could show you my home planet." Thundy stated. "And it's actually within a different dimension, according to Thundy. See, Thundy's Earth and the planet where Equestria resides are in two different dimensions. Every once in a blue moon, Thundy can travel dimensions with a quick spell. Otherwise, he'd have to travel beyond the speed of sound to even think about getting back to his original home planet..." Chelsea explained.

After the food is consumed and their conversations finished, the mayor gives them both a lift back to the garage. "It's getting late. I must return to my office. But I thank you both. I've returned to my former good health, and I know tomorrow will bring big things. Ms. Chelsea, if you ever need me for anything, you know where to find me. And thank you both again for everything."

Thundy and Chelsea thanked Mayor White for the lift. The two griffons then drove back to their staying place after closing up the garage for the night. “Phew…that was a long day…” Thundy said. “Indeed it was…” Chelsea said. Thundy and Chelsea settled in for the night and went to bed.
