Wasn't all that cool initially, but feels like it's coming back around in a weird nu-metal/ metal-core/ early to mid '00s radio rock resurgence. Young kids like it because it's just the right amount of heavy and millennials who grew up with it like hearing it again.

That just sounds like metal with all of the screaming/growling that really turns me off from metal music.
