  1. 1. Who makes the best frozen pizza? Which have you tried and what makes them special (or not so special)? Feel free to add any that aren’t on the list and tell us all about ‘em!

@Kyoshi This seems like your kind of gig. I would like your professional opinion. :nom:

I don't actually recognise any of those names on the list, presumably because I'm from Europe. :derp: But I will say then that I love our Goodfellas pizzas and garlic bread. They're usually quite simple in toppings and have thin-based crust, which is just the way I like it. Not too heavy to get through, but they have excellent taste that go well with just about anything extra you wanna throw on it.

Never tried Totinos, Sasquatch, Freschetta's Motor City or Stouffer's
Tony's is fine, probably the average most frozen pizzas should go for
California Pizza Kitchen is alright but I prefer the restaurants themselves
Both Tombstone and Red Baron's really good, nice and crispy when you cook it right
Celeste is garbage
Wild Mike's pretty good too
Screamin Sicily's fantastic
Digorno's also really good too, opposite of Tombstone/Red Baron, nice and fluffy

Favorite is probably Screamin Sicily's, with Tombstone, Red Baron and Digorno all fighting for second

Well it used to be Pizza Corner, until they were bought out, recipes cheapened, then changed, and now they are just a rebrand of another brand.

They used to be an actual hand made frozen pizza, very little mechanization and very little "off the shelf" components. They made the sauce, the toppings, and the crust, by hand, every day, 24/7.

But since they are no more, I put Tombstone, Red Barron, and Jack's on the same field.

A "crav'n" isn't bad, just its sauce...tastes sweet to me.

I might as well chime in. The best I’ve had is Detroit Motor City and Screamin’ Sicilian. Both are seriously loaded pizzas with great flavor. My go-to for the low price is Totino’s. I’ve probably eaten hundreds of them throughout my life and even though they’re not exactly fancy, they do have a very nice flavor. Jack’s makes a nice thin crust pizza (I’m surprised I forgot to add it to the list) and it’s another economy pizza with great taste. As much as I’ve always loved thick crust pizzas, I’ve come to appreciate the thin crust because I don’t end up feeling overly stuffed afterwards. Speaking of ‘stuffed’ it’s nice to have stuffed crust from time to time, even if it’s the store brand; it really makes a difference.
