According to the article by Kidscreen, Chris Cocks, who is the president of The Wizards of the Coast division, will become the CEO of Hasbro on February 25th 2021.

I wish him the best of luck on his new position.

What's gonna happened to the MLP franchise? I'm sure things will remain the same for now, but we don't know the changes will be happening until the next couple of years. So, we'll see what happens.

Your thoughts?

Best of luck to him. Hope Hasbro's in good hands.

I suggest you make other choices of words in this scenario

Let's hope this guy doesn't stroke his own ego about his name.

I hope he doesn't go down everyone's throat about workplace environment things.

But I know that he managed to get there by holding onto his name, firmly grasping it, and shooting upwards to his new position.

Let's hope he isn't a huge dick to everyone.

And let's hope he doesn't beat it within a month since it should be hard to get a new CEO.

I just hope Chris enjoys his job.

Actually, everyone should be encouraged because Wizards of the Coast is devoted to tabletop gaming. NOBODY gets into that business except for the love of it. This makes me optimistic Chris wants to make Hasbro more fun, accessible and creator driven than ever. (This is me being optimistic by the way).

Admittedly as someone that's played Magic the Gathering, I can say Wizards of the Coast is declining in quality badly so I might be a bit worried.

I appreciate your optimism though.

The last guy, Brian Goldnar, had a big role in making their properties more than just toys, same with their movies/shows being more than just vehicles for said toys. Without him we wouldn't have had the likes of FiM or the Transformers movies(for better and for worse). Given that direction has been very successful for Hasbro so far, I'd reckon(and hope) that that won't change any time soon

It has been suggested Cocks pushes for a bigger digital presence . I hope that means actual pony games :ticking:

They've dumped a ton of money into it as it is, so until they've ran through that, who knows.

All one has to do is keep Hasbro on the path it's on currently to stay successful. It shouldn't be that hard, but one never knows, he could try to reinvent the wheel and then run away or he could keep it as is.

That and also part of the creation for The Hub.

That's a...name. I guess everyone here has already done all of the juvenile commentary, so I'll spare you. Anyways, hope he does a good job.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.
