Blu was curious about the missing books, but figured, with whatever was going on that sent Lyra, Bonbon, and the others away, they had probably been taken out by agents expecting to need them.

While Blu may have been enthralled by his studies, the Kernel was exceedingly capable of multitasking, and had a variety of sensors at it's disposal which Blu had been making use of to track his practice and advancement. Thus if whoever was watching him remained within sight range for too long, Blu would be notified. Not wanting to get caught off guard again, Blu would be quick to assess the situation, trying to find whoever had triggered the Kernel's alarm.

The Librarian explains...

"Well my shift is only up to 6pm if an agent would require the building while I am around, I am duty bound to assist the agent until they leave and made sure that no one would require my assistance.

"But if I am not present while the agents Arive the library, they can freely enter and swipe their card at the door to gain entrance.

"Their ID will be recorded, but other than that those informations are the only thing I can give to you... Wether they've taken anything from here or not. I would not know. Oh but we can check the cameras?"

The Librarian would check the system and would reveal that there are only 2 agents who used their ID to enter the Library. And when they exited the building it appears they have not taken anything with them. If they ever did it must have been few... But not enough to drain the amount of missing books in the library.

" There you go, two agents have entered the Library without my assistance. Sorry about the blurring of the ponies faces. It is automatically applied to agents. Rest assured yours are hidden as well."

She would also reveal a video of Dusk and Blu entering the building. But Dusk's face is the only thing Blurred in the Video but Blu isn't.

" What's going on? That's quite... Odd..." The librarian noticed.

The Kernel would trigger it's alarm to warn Blu, as it seems the lurker has no plans to leave you be.

( How does your kernel warn you? Through sound only? Or visual as well? And in what "visually" will you see?)

The Kernel's alarm was silent, all that changed was a small portion of the text on the screen, in a place prominent to Blu, to indicate that there was a potential hostile nearby. Anyone who might try to read the screen itself would find it difficult, as Blu had changed it to display in another language, Spanish. Given everything so far was in English, which was Germanic, he found it unlikely that there'd be those who'd understand a Latin language, if such concepts even existed here.

When he saw the notice, he'd quickly secure the Kernel so it would be protected from damage if there was a fight, then he'd turn his attention to trying to spot whoever was lingering nearby.

Twilight walked up to the librarian when she checked the cameras. It was interesting but also confusing. "I don't understand, how could we have used our cards to enter the library, when we clearly weren't here before? Unless I am misunderstanding something? I don't know what to make of this." Dusk spoke in clear confusion.

"Oh  it's just the camera, it records any pony who enters and exits the building. With exception to a blurry face for all agents. I just looked at the time when the cards where swiped to enter and checked the camera is all." The Librarian explained nerdily.

" But the young agent seems to be unblurred? I must ask him to give me his identifications so I can update the database to adjust in his current state. We don't want his identity to be easily seen right?"

(This is the point where Blu would likely be cought as an imposter, unless Dusk does something about it.)

As he try to spot the lingering stalker. He would find a pony perched on the railings of the roof like a bird, looking at him curiously. It was a mare with light blue eyes. Beautiful purple mane with a strip of blue. Her fur was light pink like the cherry blossoms shining in the rays of the sun. She seems to be the same age as you. Blu would also easily spot that she is a pegasi, that may answer his question on how she got up here. But what might peak Blu's interest is she is no ordinary pegasi, as she has a horn on her forehead.

As Blu analyze her the pony would notice you staring at her {cautiously?}.

"Good morning." She says as she break the silence between you two.

( @Starforce  Blu is up on the roof, so Dusk can't see what he's doing from inside the building.)

Blu raised his eyebrow at the perched pegasus, though pegacorn was likely more accurate given Dancer's descriptions. He doubted they were an alicorn, as he was led to believe they were exceedingly rare. "Morning... Do you normally stalk ponies who are studying? Or am I just lucky?"

He kept a reasonable distance between himself and the watching pony, making sure to stay between them and the Kernel, he didn't think they posed a serious threat, but he knew from his own experience that looks could be deceiving. Even though he only had five bullets left, he idly wished he had brought his gun, which reminded him, he needed to research some way to defend himself next. Maybe he could use the runes he had learned to improvise ammunition for his gun? Or make a facsimile of a firearm? With telekinesis, even a knife could be a ranged weapon.

( Let's say there's a camera on the roof. And Dusk noticed that it seems Blu is not alone. She couldn't tell since the camera couldn't catch everything but Blu's movements are telling signs he ain't alone. This way the flow of the story would still be plausible.)

The librarian would snap out of her nerd talk, and notice you watching another camera pointed at Blu.

" Oh!  You would still like to use the camera? If you have anything you need of an assistance, I'll be just... Um... Right here, I guess..." The librarian sadly whispered.

" You sure do care alot about your partner." The librarian added.

The pegacorn as Blu would label it was stunned at the unicorns reply to her.

" Ah!- stal- no! Was I?" The pegacorn was confused and off guard that she could only stutter words.

As the pegacorn could finally pull herself together and utter proper words, she would apologize to unicorn and explain.

" I didn't mean to stalk you. I'm sorry. I was just curious to why you are up here?  Since my stay here in Ponyville and my usual route here going to school, I have never seen anyone ever set hoof above the library before."

The pegacorn noticed that they have forgot to give a proper introduction to one another.

" Oh where are my manners, my name is flurry heart." The pegacorn gracefully bowed down to Blu.

"And beside you is my friend and assistant Cozy Glow."

As you would look to your side, your face would be up close to a lightly pinked pegasi with curly light Blu hair, with a rook for a cutie mark.

She was actually too close for comfort enough so that an inch more and both your noses would touch.

" Hello" her only words she gave to you as she curiously observe you really close.

@Starforce

Meanwhile Dusk could see that a pegasi is creeping up slowly towards Blu.

" Oh shoot..." The librarian could only say as she too see the events unfold.

" I- I don't want to lose my job again..." She whimpered.

The librarian would have teary eyes and a blushing face, visible to dusk. It seems the librarian was enamored.

" I wish I was like you back then..." The librarian quietly said.

The librarian would not hold you much longer for your time, since you seemed to be worried for your partner Blu.

Had Blu still been in his normal body, Cozy would have been punched pretty hard in the face for sneaking up on his like that.

As it was, he simply jumped away, pulling the Kernel with him, moving so he could see both of the ponies at the same time, "Don't do that again. Did no one teach you it's not nice to sneak up on ponies?" Still, while he didn't trust these ponies, there was no reason to not be polite, "My name's Blu, B-L-U, not the color. I'm new in town... for personal reasons," he looked down at that, acting like it was something troubling and personal, before returning his attention to the fillies, "I asked the librarian if I could study up here, since I used to study like this back home, and she was kind enough to let me. Now, if you're quite satisfied, I'd hate to make you late to school."

"Won't you be to?" Flurry questioned Blu.

Cozy would quickly interrupt.

" Maybe perhaps this pony isn't enrolled to the school of friendship, princess? Seeing that this pony lack manners... Then again, the more reason for him to join our school I suppose."

Cozy would haver quite near you once more analyzing you from head to hoof.

"Here to study at the roof I see? Is the books in our school, those not satisfy you? I assure you that there is more books there than here and up to date on all theories and lessons."

@Starforce

Then Cali Dusk would eventually be at the top of the library with the rest.

Blu was taken aback, and a little offended, by Flurry and Cozy's comments, but didn't have a chance to respond before Dusk entered the scene, "I'm fine." He turned his attention back to the fillies, "I'm not the one lacking manners here. I only just got here yesterday after, guess what, my parents died." He let some of his unrelated anger and frustration from earlier show through, causing himself to tear up to make his acting more believable, "So maybe, maybe, getting enrolled in school isn't my top priority right now."

He'd gather up his stuff quickly and stalk away, not giving the fillies much time to respond to his outburst, intending to head back inside the library.

Once he was sure he was out of sight, or only in sight of Dusk, he'd calm down almost instantly.

Flurry heart would instinctively be moved by Blu's story and try to rush towards Blu before he could end his sentence.

This would probably shock Blu or be alerted for the ponies sudden action.

But half way Cozy would block her way.

Flurry would then be stopped by her tracks and be dumbfounded by cozy glows action, leaving her a confused look towards Cozy Glow.

Cozy would look at you with a doubtful look.

" Princess, not everything can be fixed with hugs and cupcakes."she said while still keeping an eye on Blu.

"Apologies for our manners to match yours, I believe being close and friendly is... Not your way..."

@Starforce

Cozy would look at the adult, Dusk.

" You must be her guardian?" She would then bow down to both of them and apologize. "Sorry to have bothered you both. We should meet in a better time then. I suppose do you agree, Flurry?" Flurry would just nod shamefully.

(Will wait for Dusk's reply. if not she would continue off.)

( If Blu would still try to leave, Cozy would like to give a parting word.)

" Oh Blu was it? WE usually don't use our parents death as an excuse... Specially when it's fresh..." She stared at you.

" Good day..."

Cozy and flurry would fly off and bid their goodbye towards what seems to be more of a big castle than a school.

As they left

Flurry would question Cozy glows actions., Of why she has stopped her.

" Why stopped me? I could've helped him you know? Even just a little..."

Cozy would not look at her as she replies.

" You can't truly heal ponies broken heart Flurry... only they can do that. And besides... Your mother tasked me to protect you and help you grow into a better pony. Those ponies are on another level that you still can't handle, I suggest you avoid them and grow more, so you could properly understand them... If not you'd probably just hurt yourself or make it worst for them."

Flurry was a bit ticked off and would reply grumbling.

" So your telling me that I'm bad at my role then."

Cozy would just shoulder hug Flurry as they went of to the distance.

(Continue scene to Blu and Dusk.)

Blu wouldn't be stopped by Cozy's move to intercept him, and would attempt to plow through her if she didn't get out of his way, tears streaming down his face like someone who was no longer holding it together. He'd still hear what she attempted to say, and file it away, it seemed the ponies in this world were not nearly so kind nor empathetic as the ones Dancer had told him about. No wonder they were so quick to try and kill him earlier, it seemed they were taught from a young age to bottle up their traumas and pretend everything was alright.

Still though, as soon as the fillies were out of sight, Blu's demeanor shifted back to his regular analytical self, "I'm glad my façade was convincing, but you have no idea how I feel. Truthfully I was relatively unaffected by the news of my parents' death. They were never around for me to get attached to, and them dying didn't change my life in any meaningful way. Still though, it's troubling how dismissive they were of my outburst, I'd have expected them to apologize or at least appear sympathetic, is the loss of one's parents so common here that it is not worth mentioning?" He sighed, "This gives me second thoughts about my ability to act like I belong in that school."

As both of them head back inside the secret room. they'd notice that some pony else is seating at a corner reading a book. She looks quite decent, wearing an office attire, it seems she has a high status at her job. She's not flashy, but her poise and the way she wears her dress gives her dignity and prestige, while the librarian is at the entrance shaking, as if she'd seen a ghost.

Blu would easily find the books he sought for, but only its basics for magic. But if he tries to find higher tier magic of it's kind, he would fail like Dusk did. You would also notice what Dusk had noticed before, lots of empty spaces where books should have been.

As Dusk proceed to the formally attired mare. She would now clearly see what she is doing.

Not only is she reading a book, she is also writing something on a fine sheet of white paper. It looks like she is making a document.

She is clearly using magic as she writes and reads.

As you got closer she would easily detect you in some way.

" Please! There is nothing you agents can do to change my mind for confiscating this whole Library from your grubby little hooves! I wi...." As the mare faces you and finally got a good look at you. She would stop writing, and she would be completely focused on you, pondering.

You would also see her properly.

She has a wavy violet hair with a strip of light blue green on it, a purple fur and a beautiful bluish eyes.

" Ahmm good day to you..." The pony just by looking at you seems to have seen a ghost or something.

She would then trot around you looking at you in every angle, observing you with curious eyes.

" I'm sorry... I'm... Guessing you're not from around here right? My name is Starlight Glimmer. I am the head mare of the school of friendship... Sorry to see me at my worse but... I do have to pick a bone with them... Or... With your group... Say? Are you also part of the agency of smile?"

Blu's ears perked up at the sound of Dusk and Starlight's conversation, he had an odd look on his face as he snapped the book he had been reading closed, "So the organization with the right to abduct and murder whoever they please can't even keep hold of a room in a building? Pathetic."

He walked over to Starlight with an air of confidence that he previously had not shown. Making up for his shorter stature he propped himself up on the table to thrust his hoof towards her in greeting (You know, like an invitation to shake hands) "Blu Baseplate, don't mind the body, I recently lost a good number of years, and the reputation that goes with it, to some spatial/temporal shenanigans. It strikes me that we may be able to reach a mutually beneficial arrangement."

"Then if you're smart as you present yourself to me, then why stay to their side?" Starlight said to Twilight, while she continues to write the paperworks.

" Look. I know your smart...in any dimension, I'm sure your faith is inclined to walk the path of wisdom Twilight, I presume your name?" She looks at you while still busy writing.

Then a filly would interrupt them.

She would be taken aback and confused at the young pony's rambling.

Is this colt playing pretend and being disillusioned? Or is he telling the truth?

The pony called himself Blu Baseplate.

Starlight would stare at Blu's hooves, not sure if to shake hooves with him, as she is still confused of this colt's sudden introduction.

She would then look back at Twilight and ask.

" Is this colt with you perhaps? Mind telling me about what he just said?"

Blu's expression soured at Starlight's dismissal of him, he retracted his hoof and with it his offer of potential friendship. "Oh, I see, you're one of those Head Mares. The kind that doesn't actually like their job or the ponies they care for, right? Well. I for one will not be disrespected like that. Given my present stature I'll be required to enroll in your school, I had hoped this could be an amicable arrangement, but I now see you lack the dignity to make that possible."

He lowered himself off the table and turned away, "You'd think the Head Mare of the School of Friendship would know a thing or two about being friendly, but alas, it seems the whole school is a hypocritical sham with you in charge."

Blu's words echoed inside starlight's thoughts and struck a cord.

The Librarian has gone pail as if her blood has left her, as she witness  Starlight's grim smile as she try to bottle up her anger.

"Ah... Ha..hahehrhr?" She tried to laugh as the bottled up anger starts to break.

Her writing would stop and the book she levitates would start to fall.

A split burst of magic would be released and be felt by everyone in Ponyville.

The poor Librarian would faint from shock and fear.

Dusk and Blu would feel the stinging cold chill, but before they could turn their heads to look at Starlight, they would hear a heavy stomp and were already facing her.

Blu, Dusk and the librarian are already sitting at the table, right Infront of Starlight Glimmer.

Dusk would notice that Starlight has forced teleported you all to sit on the chair, just like what a draconicous would do when they snap their finger.

"Why the sudden insult towards me? Did I do something wrong? Where are my manners! I'm sorry if I insulted you all or disrespected you in anyway." She grinded her teeth as she tries to hide her anger and tries to be nice.

"So Blu Baseplate was it?" She would then present her hoof for a hoof shake towards Blu.

She would wait for a few seconds if Blu would shake her hands. She wouldn't be surprised if he couldn't, since she is releasing tremendous amount of magic aura. She would be surprised if he could even lift his hoof.

As she presents her hoof, an aura unlike any other could be felt. Unlike how Alpha releases a terrible killing intent, Starlight Glimmer releases a terrible amount of power, so much that it gives off pressure.  Pressure that it is very hard to move.

"Based on what you are saying your an adult in a colt's body? Well the way you acted it seems your age finally found the right body?" Starlight could not help but give a quick jab of insult towards Blu...

" You know that's quite hard to believe in without proof, Blu."

" Stranger who looks like Twilight.....the way you act with each other seems to imply that you know each other. More likely you are this adult colt's guardian, I presume?" She questions.

" So am I suppose to believe what Blu is saying? And please, would you kindly indulge my question this time?" She tried to nicely ask her.

" So how can I help you then."

The Librarian is still in a state of faint while sitting in the chair, she would be solid as a rock and no one could move her out of it.

While Starlight glimmer is at the opposite side of the table, trying to smile to hide her anger, which is apparent of the atmosphere she is releasing in the room, that no pony that day would even dare enter the library for weeks to come.

Blu was surprised by the extent and violence of the Head Mare's reaction. Clearly she was unused to receiving the disrespect she so readily gave. Still, he was not afraid. The worst she could do to him was to kill him, and Alpha had already removed his fear of death.

Sitting there under the prodigious pressure of this enraged mare without fear gave him an interesting perspective: If he further provoked her, would she break? Or kill him? He found both options acceptable at this juncture. His convictions held true from before, anyone who would hurt what was apparently a child without just cause, was a monster.

Several thoughts went through his mind as potential responses.

  1. He could stop trying so hard to breathe, and let the pressure overwhelm him such that he fainted as well, meaning that Starlight would have strangled a child into unconsciousness.
  2. He could start crying, see if tears had any affect on her. Though he doubted she'd even care that she'd made a child cry.
  3. He could try to use his own magic, maybe lift something behind Starlight. But he figured if his attack failed it would only end up worse for him.
  4. He could further taunt her, and see how much further she went before she broke, or killed him.

Ultimately he decided to be diplomatic about it. His expression and relaxed posture, or at least as relaxed as one could be in that state, in any case he was not struggling against it, showed clearly that he was not afraid of the mare. If he could manage to speak, he would continue, but if the pressure prevented him from speaking he would simply stare at her coldly until he would be able to again.

"Does this make you feel big? Powerful? Clearly, I was absolutely correct in my assessment.  You are a hypocrite. You asked us to leave, then prevent us from leaving. You offer to shake my hoof, but prevent me from doing so. You claim to be the Head Mare of the School of Friendship, but have done nothing but cause fear, pain, and made enemies. Is this friendship? Forcing someone to interact with you against their will? Still. Suppose I'm lying about my condition. In that case, you just assaulted a child for giving you lip. Where I come from, that'd be grounds for immediate termination, a ban against ever interacting with young creatures again, if not a long term jail sentence. So let's assume, for your sake, that I am telling the truth. You've still assaulted three ponies who did nothing more than speak ill of you. Last I checked being the Head Mare of a school didn't grant you the right to attack others for disrespect. We, don't owe you anything. Not Explanations, Not Answers, and definitely Not Respect. You haven't earned them."
