Anyone who watches MTV or is simply a huge fan of Linkin Park may know of this new album. After many fails (i.e. some of Minutes to Midnight and a lot of A Thousand Suns) they are finally making an awesome comeback. In fact, this comeback is so awesome that critics are actually giving really good ratings of the album. That's something ya never saw for their previous albums. Plus, just listen to these snippets:

So tell me, are you going to get this album? I sure as heck am. It's totally gonna be worth the money.

Meh, I don't fault them for changing their styles - that's what a band has got to do, but though I'm not a very big LP fan in the first place, their older stuff is way more my thing. They kind of just sound like every other popular band out there to me now.

Really? You think that the three snippets in the video I posted sound mainstream? I haven't heard anything like the music in that video ever.

Like I said, I'm not a big LP fan in the first place, or of much mainstream music altogether, so my opinion is probably not worth that much. But to me, what I heard sounds a lot like their last album, nothing really special.

A Thousand Suns is and always will be my favourite Linkin Park album(yes, I know-sue me). The two tracks they've actually released so far sound rather promising, and Lies Greed Misery almost sounds like a mixture of A Thousand Suns and Meteora. In other words, yes, I am excited for this album. I'm fricken pumped.

I actually enjoyed... well, some of ATS. Mainly Burning in the Skies, Wretches and Kings, Waiting for the End, and The Catalyst. This album, though. THIS album. I am so dang excited for it words can't describe it. I'm more excited for it than I was when Thrice was releasing their album "Major/Minor".

I love those songs too, but to me, Blackout is the greatest song they've ever written. The melodic section at the end is just pure bliss.

Oh yeah, I liked that one too. The songs I really didn't like from that album were the transition-type parts, like the two first tracks. They missed out on having some REALLY GREAT demos in it, like "Pretend To Be" and "I Have Not Begun" or some of their actually completed songs, 'cause I seriously think New Divide would've worked on the record.

...then again those tracks would've caused the album to lose it concept-album-ness (new word, yo). :P

Bit of an updatey thing:

New video about the album!

The snippets WERE real! :D

The album leaked a few days ago.

I will NOT provide a link, however I will say this: it's an excellent album. A perfect mix of A Thousand Suns and Minutes To Midnight with elements of Hybrid Theory. Mike's rapping is more predominant then on A Thousand Suns, as is Chester's screaming. It's certainly not their angsty nu-metal material from Hybrid Theory, however it is a perfect balance of all of their albums. They've finally achieved eternal harmony for all of their fans. One of the songs in particular, Victimized, is by far the most aggressive song they've ever written.

I heard several of the songs. Lost in the Echo was great, and so was Castle of Glass. Edited by letterZOID

I'm an overall fan of Linkin Park, although I didn't really think much of 'A Thousand Suns'. Still, though, 'Living Things' is definitely looking promising already. Haven't heard a song from it yet that I didn't like.

I've got an idea! No..... No, wait; it's just a concussion....

I'm so dang pumped for the album. I really don't want to download a leak, but I REALLY don't want to wait for the 26th. :(

I guess I'll just deal with the songs I downloaded already.
