A witch in broad daylight

I just started rereading one of my favorite fan fictions, A Witch in broad daylight by Epsilon-Delta and I thought I'd post about it in case there's some other people who might enjoy it.

Synopsis: There’s no end to the monsters that lurk in the dark.

Ghosts, werewolves, mad scientists, cultists, mutants, zombies, vampires, aliens and more lie in wait in the dark corners of Equestria, terrorizing the night. But the most infamous and dangerous of them all is the legendary witch Twilight Sparkle, with a five hundred million bit bounty on her head.

Seeking fame and fortune, Rainbow Dash sets out to defeat the legendary witch and collect the massive reward. The one thing she wasn't counting on was Twilight being less evil than she expected.

This book couldn't be more perfect if it tried, you know when you have a bite of food when you aren't that hungry but the food is so good that you're suddenly starving. And food is like the perfect way to describe it, imagine all the coolest parts of fantasy and Sci-fi somehow combined into the world's most tasty soup. How the author managed to do that while still making the world building feel so cohesive is beyond me. That's what reading book feels like. Plus it's an alternate universe with a ton of fun changes to the world building and new spins on all of the main six. I really loved this AU's take on Twilight, she had such great character development and the way her and Rainbow Dash's friendship grew over time was so satisfying to read. 

And then there's Pinkie Pie.  The author really outdid themselves with her, I don't even know what I can say about it without spoiling it but her introduction was a wild ride from start to finish. 

It's books like this that make me proud to be a brony. lol
