I really don't have any, nor I think I have the interest in it, I just really hope it will be good enough for everyone who loves G4 to enjoy, so the fandom can be unified again, G5 divided the community way too much

I agree. Gen 2 needs to be more represented by Hasbro. It never gets touched on or given any sort of reference, ever.

Honestly, it's just my opinion, but I can see where G2 failed. Taller and leaner ponies, upright neck and less realistically. G1 never been that realistic either but about their appearances, G1 is far more close to a real pony (smaller, hunchback, chubbier) and the only nice touch for G2 were the hooves fur, when G1 only had those for stallions. People that preferred that the ponies looked similiar to actual in real life ponies, probably disliked the more horse-shaped G2 design. I'm not saying G2 is bad overall, just the changes caused the downfall. Just look at G3, it's more similiar to G1 in real life ponies appearance. G4 was another totally drastically change that worked better than anyone would ever thought, since G2 was a failure. And it's very noticeable that G5 is pretty much similiar to G2. I don't hate G5's designs choices either, I really like them, but comparing to G4 toys designs I can notice that G4 still more similiar to a pony than G5: still somewhat chubby and hunchback neck, while G5 has the ball-joint neck plug and their neck are taller and upright, like G2, but not like the other generations. Even if G4 snouts are smaller, I still can see the pony on them (in the toys), while the good point of G5 was the same as G2 adding the hooves fur, since even G4 had only stallions with hooves fur once again.

I agree with the video. Please don't let G6 be a reboot or remake. That's really the only sort of hope I have for G6, that it isn't a rehash of G4 trying to cash in on nostalgia.

Given Hasbro's never ending track record of doing things that piss off their fans (*cough* Equestria Girls Spring Breakdown *cough* Newbie Dash *cough* ending Equestria Girls and G5 without properly concluding their stories *double cough* renewing their contract with Discovery Family), I honestly wouldn't be surprised if G6 ended up being a reboot of G4 contrary to the wishes of My Little Pony fans.

The introduction of taller ponies isn't a bad idea.

I don't think it's a bad idea per se, but smaller, hunchback and chubbier is more realistically talking. G4 is my favorite despite they barely having pony features, except, well, the stallions, which are my favorite for a reason.

IMO G6 should be a series that aims to have a broad appeal like G4 but without having to rely on any of the plot or characters of G4. I feel that G5 had some challenges of trying to be connected to G4, and be its own thing at the same time. Instead of relying on the appeal of G4, G6 should figure out what is the root cause of the appealability of G4 and create something original based on that.

G6 should aim to have writers that are creative and passionate about the story points they write, and they should be given the liberty needed to do so.

Personally, I think that one of the things that made G4 successful and could make G6 successful is a small but diverse set of characters with nuanced personalities that are both highly likeable and relatable. They would be put in relatable situations, but also go on exciting adventures.

Finally, if G6 should aim to embrace the fandom creativity for side characters. (Like don’t get Button Mash’s Adventures canceled.)

This is what I hope G6 would be like.

I know this is silly but my hope for Generation 6 is that they try again with a tweaked Generation 5

where they take out the references to Friendship is Magic and give Generation 5 its own continuity.

I actually like the idea of the new seasons connecting to G4, it ran for too long with too "deep" plots to really just throw it out for a different story. But the way they did it with G5 SUCKED and didn't really line up at all. If G6 is a thing they should make it about a different group of ponies during the same time as the events of G4 or something. With a refreshed art style, of course.
