Would you like it if MLP did a region-based approach to future generations

I've been thinking recently if it would be a good idea for MLP could take after how the Pokemon franchise handles its own generations. Instead of reboots, each new pokemon generation takes place in a new separate part of the Pokemon world, complete with their own unique culture and myths, while still having nods to previous gens. The games also apparanetly take place around the same time period, with only minimal time skips between certain games.

I'm wondering now how beneficial it could be for Hasbro to adapt that approach to MLP. Each new generation could also be set around the same era as G4, in a new unexplored part of Equestria, and although they might  possibly havesome slight connection to elements from G4 and/or other possible generations, still is a largely independent story with its own cast compared to G5. Unlike how a reboot might use the same characters again, this approach would encourage creating brand new characters. Since they would all be set in same universe, they still have occasional cross overs. They could occasionally have something like an special standalone episode, where a g4 character(s) may visit the region and meet the new cast. This could potentially be a good way to bring attention back to G4 without having to rely on it too much, especially once their contract with discovery runs out and are able to distribute FiM more freely.

Considering how much of an impactful show FiM is, and the ten years worth of world-building it provided, I don't really want it to be rebooted, and this approach might be ideal if Hasbro still wants to advertise G4 more. What do you think of this idea?

This idea is very good and I love it  The popularity of the show is what fuels such conceptions (like sequels for Star Wars, LoTR and GoT). Unfortuantely, MLP is a bit controversial and the fandom is shrinking (somehow the love for cute Pokemons isn't controversial at all ).
