If you could live anywhere in Equestria, where would it be?

I took 'where would you live' to mean 'if I moved there from Earth.' Ponyville is frankly too dangerous (Everfree), and I don't want to handle the chaos that comes with it. Crystal ponies look cool and would be interesting to interact with, and I live in the suburbs in real life, so Equestria's version shouldn't be too different.

We have wildlife in real life which can be considered dangerous as well, people swim in the ocean knowing full well the risks of riptides and sharks which could eat them, and while sharks do not typically attack humans, there are still recorded instances of this occurring, there's always a chance. What I am saying is, no matter where we are in the world, nature is not perfect.

As for Ponies in Ponyville from MLP fiction, they're already aware of the risks of Everfree Forest I think, but they have to live somewhere and it may be one of the few areas in their world with fertile soil for all we know. Sometimes survival means we have to take risks, even if they are not convenient. Ponies are aware of the existence of predatory creatures in their world such as dragons and they do fear them, at the same time though, what can they do? they can defend their territory, sure, they are well within their right to do so, however they know there's a line that shouldn't be crossed because other creatures in their world have as much right to exist as they do, it's why they accepted Spike, knowing full well that he too is a dragon and will one day become an adult.

As for the problem of agriculture, better to grow farmlands there, or at least in parts of Equestria where Applejack works in Sweet Apple Acres which is close to Ponyville, than to attempt to do it in a winter wonderland like the Frozen North which would kill a cropfield in an instant. If it wasn't for the fertility of the land from the lower latitudes it's likely Crystal Ponies would not even exist, I'm not as familiar with them as I should be, however I am sure they are not immortal.

As noisy as Ponyville would be for me if I could exist in that fantasy world, obviously cannot, but for sake of discussion, if I did, I'd rather take my chances there, than risk hypothermia in a polar region. If I lived in Ponyville long enough I could probably adapt. The availability of food in that region is a considerable advantage, and getting to know Rainbow Dash could make weather somewhat predictable.

I'd rather take my chances with a bear that I can avoid by making some noise/playing dead as opposed to a manticore or bugbear. And, unlike sharks, which kill fewer people per year than toilets do, monsters seem to be naturally aggressive to some degree. I mean, they attack Ponyville all the time.

They did have problems, Ponyville has not really seen more bouts of aggression overall than our world has seem to however, and while Everfree Forest has Timberwolves, in the real world we have mosquitoes, who infect people enough to be considered one of the most dangerous animals on the planet and which I remind you, Bill Gates invested in vaccination programs to address. Shark attacks on humans are not common, but things like getting bitten by snakes depending on where you live, is common, even if a snake is non venomous, a bite from any animal can still lead to infection if they penetrate our skin, pandemics are common also, we've had Ebola, Sars and recently COVID19 because of a disease from infected wild bats in China. All of which make Three's a Crowd episode look like nothing happened, now we have a potential outbreak from bird flu to be concerned about.

Even in Applebuck Season episode where Applejack's mishap caused Pinkie Pie and other Ponies to become sick, does this mean food poisoning does not exist in real life? no, we know this, and this is a subject matter that gets brought up about food safety.

Don't get me wrong, if I were in that fictional world, I'd be scared if I got lost in Everfree Forest, I mean, dealing with a Cockatrice would be risky as it was for Fluttershy, but this is why it is important to study and learn about the world we live in, knowledge is power, with knowledge you find solutions.

I would have lived in the Everfree Forest near Ponyville as Zecora.
