Video game music but not actually video game music

I'm sure we've all listened to some music before and thought it sounded like it was specifically made for a video game when it actually wasn't.

If you've ever experienced this feel free to share below!

Right now I'm giving the Total Science duo a proper listen through and ran across this one from them.

Originally released in 2000 on their Advance album, this track has that weird video game OST quirkyness to it especially of that time period. But it was never made or featured in a video game afaik!

So interesting story... Once upon a time in the early 2000's, I randomly found a techno song that sounds JUST like something from the video game Vectorman. Unfortunately, I have lost that song, and I have no idea how to locate it again. :muffins: The name and artist have been wiped blank from my mind, and any trace of said song are completely gone by now.

HOWEVER! While listening to this song from Vectorman...

...It reminded me of THIS song!

Probably not intentional, but the similarity so uncanny. And the song came out 1 year after the game. :derpy-hi: Really speaks to how popular these kinds of club jam songs were back then.

Hmm... Should probably stay on topic...

Oh! I know!
This song always did remind me of Sonic the Hedgehog. :dash-sweg:

Dance Like An African. I remember when I first heard this, it was in the Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa video game.
