My only real resolution is to survive another year, I’ve got a 26 year streak of completing that resolution that I’m hoping to keep going /jk

Thanks for the camaraderie through 2025. Hope 2026 is brilliant for everyone.

I should've said more, but was rushed. I so appreciate the welcome I received here, wandering in off the internet from a random search, and the silent company of you all as I watched the show. 2025 wasn't a tough year, exactly--certainly not compared to 2024, and some other very tough, long, terrifying stretches in previous decades. (Let's not talk about my thirties. Please.) Now it's the new year, and there's nowhere to go but forward--but when I at last watch the last episode and the clip shows, I'll be where you were six years ago. All to say I've appreciated your spiritual accompaniment as I've cherished season 9, flawed as it is. Need to move forward with things, and there's no reason to draw things out any more, but it's tough to say goodbye. 

Since turning 50 in 2020, every holiday season precipitated or coincided with an emotional and physical collapse, which my poor partner had to suffer through. 2024 broke the pattern, when I had good holidays and came to January 1 with a normal amount of sadness at the holidays being over. I'm delighted to report 2025 is the same! Two in a row. I hope you're all able to look more forward than backward, find the good among all the moral injury we all endure in these crazy and stupid times, and can see the coming year as one of accomplishment, hope, well-being, and self-love. I know that's kinda icky touchy-feely, but it's true. We all share something with this show, and I'm glad for it. Hope you are too, and carry that on into the near year.
