The weirdest/oddest way that you were introduced to MLP FIM

A music video.

I was listening to Skillet, Hero: The Legion of Doom Remix and a PMV kept showing up in the suggestions... I watched it and became curious... I saw the first episode and liked it... and I then became a (closet) brony.

Yogscast let's play of Mine Little Pony and Tekkit. I think it was called Sunshine of Irasaphel? Also, had a brony friend who convinced me to watch,

The first time I saw anything from the show was a calculator game "Rainbowdash Attack", made by ashbad from this forum. My sister forced me to watch the show, and I secretly watched the show afterwards.

I saw the whole two seasons before I knew fully what a Brony was. I refused to admit I was one until I saw the pmv "are you proud to be a Brony?". I loved it so much that i finnally admited to my self that I was a Brony

How I was introduced to MLP was being exposed to it little by little through various sites and through word of mouth. There would be the avatars featuring one of the Mane 6 and my thoughts back then were of "huh?" and "why?". Eventually it came up in conversation with my friends and they wanted me to watch the show. My initial reaction was "I'll think about it", but never actually took the time to watch it. The final nail in the coffin was reading a bunch of "Ask Princess Molestia" threads and well here I am. Not the best way to start out being a brony, but it sparked my interest enough to really watch the show.

Happy Meal Toys. I remember seeing the Happy Meal box my brother had and I'm like 'WHAT THE STUFF THAT IS SO CUTE.' Then everyone on the internet talking about it sparked my curiosity...so I watched it and loved it. ;~;

I was introduced through some random brony on the internet. I simply remember him being a MetalHead, so obviously this registered as a shock. He said that he was pressured into watching it by a few of his friends. Eventually he made a bet with them that he'd watch three episodes and if he liked it they would be given twenty dollars. Let's just say they're faith in MLP literally paid off.

So I was told really great things about the show; animation was solid, characters were really unique and likable, and each story had an engaging plot. The first episode I watched was a Dash-themed one, so obviously I fell in love with it.

I remember it like it was yesterday...  And I'm glad it's not. :P

I went over to my boyfriend's house early in the morning to... um...   "mess around".

Anyway, afterword, laying in bed, he turned on "May the Best Pet Win".  And that sealed the deal, even after we broke up.   :)

I was introduce by basically making fun of a Brony at school, I haven't spoke to him in a bit but we are friends now. He doesn't know I'm a Brony at the moment but when I see him again, I'm gonna brohoof that guy.

went to a friends house, his younger sister was watching the show. I didnt pay much attention but did watch the last 5 minutes of the episode, went home and forgot soon after. About a year later one of my friends brought up the show so i decided to watch it.

first episode - why am i watching this

second episode - just so i can see the entire story so i can judge properly

third episode - this is actually kind of cool

stayed up all night watching mlp because i never checked a clock *facehoof

decided that if the show could keep me entertained enough to keep me awake it was worth watching, and now I think its awesome

The first time I'd heard of MLP was on Teens React. I've always been somepony who likes to stand out, so I gave one of the episodes a try. I expected to just watch them "Ironically", but I was wrong. Actually, I hated it. It was boring to me. I have no idea why. So, time passed, and after a few months, I came upon "Ponies: The Anthology". This looked really good, and I decided to give the show a second change. I watched an episode, and immediately loved it.

By the way, if you're talking to me in a thread, please quote my previous post. Otherwise, I might not respond to you.

This thread appears to be related to the My Little Pony franchise and/or the Bronydom in general. Thus, it has been sentenced to Sugarcube Corner.

This is an automatically generated message, by the way.

Well, the first exposure I had to My little Pony Friendship is Magic at all was via peeking through the windows of a fast food place, and spying the toys. I ended up ranting negatively about it. "Ugh...They're bringing back My Little Pony? Again?" (Things like that.)

After a couple days though, I found out a friend (Who I can hardly consider a friend anymore.) really enjoyed it, so I decided to take a peek. I loved it right away.

So nothing really odd. I got a pal to consider watching the show because of some weird doodles I made of the Mane 6, if that counts. (He's a big brony now, too. )

My actual first confrontation with the ponies included an image search for something that had nothing to do with ponies and then it came up with pony porn.

Yeaaaah that was a great introduction!

Just editing my signature to say that my behavior on here was cringe. I don't regret the friends i made but man i was cringe here

My friend told me about the show, so I Googled it later that day. I saw "Equestria After Dark" and I was thinking "Is this seriously what bronies do with their time?". I ended up downloading Banned from Equestria. I thought if I was going to have anything to with ponies, it would be in a game. Turns out it wasn't your average game.

I searched for "Stella Anatium" in Google Search, according to Donaldistic sciences and the Stella Anatium theory, that's the name of the Earth-like planet were Duckburg is located, the city from the Disney Duck universe. One of the results led to a German My Little Pony message board "bronies.de", I clicked it and then read a thread about Equestria's location where someone mentioned the Stella Anatium theory. It looked strange, with teenagers and adults - of which I thought most to be female - watching a children's show about colorful magical ponies, somehow, attracting on the oder side. So I came into browsing it, read some other threads, that was end of Dec 2011. Later in January I came back several times, until I read more about bronies and FIM on other sites without watching an episode. One day, in a toystore I saw merchandising so I bought a Rainbow Dash brushy, back home I watched the first two episodes and became a brony in March/April 2012.
