gaming Playing MMOs?

I am currently playing Star Wars The Old Republic a lot. I'm also playing WoW and Guild Wars 2. I also used to play Perfect World International and Dream of Mirrors Online, but one was shutdown and the other... I've lost interest on.

I used to be a pretty hardcore Runescape player and I played when I was 11 to the age of 14. But shorty after I quit I moved onto WoW and haven't quit since :)

I'm currently playing Neverwinter. Awesome game. Not a massive fan of the MMO genre, but I think Neverwinter does a pretty good job at it.

I used to play all sorts of MMO's.. Maplestory, WoW, Runescape, I even played LoL for some time. But after getting bored of all of them, I just went back to playing other games. But I do plan on checking out SW : TOR sooner or later.

I played Runescape for a very long time. I stopped about a year ago but this summer I may start again because Runescape 3 is coming out and that looks pretty cool.

i've played WoW, runescape, Archlord, LOTRO, and currently, GW2. guild wars is definitely my favourite so far. wow was good but expensive, and old runescape was good until they ruined it and i wont pay for old content.

  • 3 weeks later...

I only played WoW and Guild Wars ( don't even remember if it 2 or not). I played neither one for very long: Wow for about a month, Guild Wars for a week or 2.

I'm pretty interested in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn though. I like what I've been seeing so far.

Diablo II is, to this day, the only game that I have been legitimately addicted to. I used to play that game for as long as 10 hours at a time. It got to the point where I had to force myself to give the game away so that I could quit. Haven't really played any other MMO's since then.

Staring beyond; up past the moon - - - will we reach the stars yet soon?

Met quick with loss; no sure response - - - men reach up high with their thoughts.

How high it goes; still no one knows - - - the likes of which search thick in droves.

Yet looking far; up near the stars - - - truth knows no better than we are.

With silver thread; and clouded head - - - blissful 'neath the darkened dune.

The only one I put a lot of time into was Sho Online. It's basically WoW with a slightly different skill system, and it's heavily based on Chinese mythology. It never got too big, but it had a decent player base.

The coolest part was the wars. Every 8 hours, there's a huge PVP war involving everybody online at the time, between the two kingdom (you choose a kingdom when you make the account). The results of the wars effects the areas you can go to in PVE (if your kingdom pushes far enough into enemy territory, you can take over those areas and start going there in PVE). Depending on if the battle is in your or enemy territory, you have different objectives, usually trying to destroy or defend a wall or building or something. You can buy siege engines (they're expensive, but I was rich as balls) which deal different types of damage, so it helps against different enemies, and with certain objectives.

Anyway, I was a major member of one of the top guilds of my kingdom. I had millions of gold. I even had a fucking griffon, man (really hard to get. For a few weeks, a single griffon would spawn every 8 hours in a random place. If you kill it, you got an egg).

Anyway, it was all good, until they released a major update which broke the game. They fixed it, but it never worked for me again. No matter what I did, didn't work. The tech support was crappy, so I eventually gave up.

I also played Guild Wards for awhile. Never got far, but I still have an account if anybody is interested in playing GW1 again.

I recently started playing Runescape again, because online games are blocked on campus. So only single player and browser games are available. I do go places with free wifi quite often, but not often enough to keep up an MMORPG. Also, I'm usually hanging out with friends. And anyway, I usually use that unblocked internet for torrents and League of Legends :/

Still playing WOW  , lol 8 years now.  Lot of people left my server and its now 10:1 favoring Hord.  So sucks to be Alliance there.

I have played and may go back to FFXI maybe 14.  I like XI better tho.  But for now funds  being saved for OTAKON and BRONYCON.

I tried Dark age of camolot and EQ 1.  Did not care for them.  Played EQ On line  long time ago too.

Played EQ2 way back during release,  Hated it,  stuff would agro you , Lock on you (so no one could heal or help you) and mobs almost always linked to other mobs  so solo fighting was nearly impossible.

I did like the look and feel of the citys.

I'm pretty interested in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn though. I like what I've been seeing so far.

I played Beta ,  they didn't listen to players then released a Flawed game.  Looks beautifull but plays kinda sloppy.  They have since made improvments.    I still think the crafting is way more complicated then it needs to be.

FFXI  May not look as nice but it still has alot more solid game play.

The game is still in beta, hasn't released yet either...  Are you talking about the Final Fantasy XIV that already flopped?

I'm no MMO nut but I think the game is coming along nicely from what I've played of the beta so far.

I have been playing MMOs for about 12+ years. I have had a massive amount of fun with this genre of video games there are social aspects of the game that are amazingly fun and the amount of cooperation and coordination required to complete tasks brings an epic feeling when you do something.

I played Runescape for 7 years It had solo and group content that was very fun although looking back it wasn't very challenging, but the MMO genre was still 'new' so it was okay. The graphics of the game is really what most people griped about but I never had an issue with them and I thought they were cool.

After quitting that game I started playing Halo 2 and shortly figured out I could make money playing competitively. But non MMOs have a shorter lifespan and I didn't really enjoy the sequel to it so I began playing another MMO and that was World of Warcraft.

I have been playing WoW for about 5 years now and I am still playing. It is the largest MMORPG for a reason and that's because the game is great. They continue to make changes that ultimately make the game better and more enjoyable. The one thing that separates this game from the others is that they take all the best features from any game (successful or not) and implement it in a way that betters the game.

I have also been playing a new MMORPG called Neverwinter. It is based off of the Dungeons & Dragons Universe and I have been really impressed with the game so far. I have been unhappy playing WoW so I have been looking for a new game to play and this honestly could be it. It is free to play which is always better in my mind than a monthly subscription.

Ok I had to actually look this up.  "FFXIV" and "FFXIV a Relm Rebourn" are aparently 2 difrent games.  Way to make it confusing for all of us Square lol.

I used to play some MMOs and MMORPGs back when I was younger such as Runescape, Adventure Quest, a little bit of WOW, and that is about all I can remember. I thought those kind of games were really fun back then. Nowadays however, I don't really care about MMOs anymore.
