I wonder who will be the first to attempt creating a advanced roleplay. It certainly seems like a daunting task ad would require a lot of descriptive abilities.

 

Apparently, the roleplay I'm in will be moving to said advance roleplay. I would do it here, but....I dunno if everypony would be up for it.

I wouldn't think so as well, which is why I'm probably not going to do it. It's for the people who can really write a post with vivid details, but who knows. Maybe they'll think otherwise.

I know I am confident in my abilities, I mean I am currently an english major for pony sake. I pride myself with a vast lexicon and the creative prowess to utilize said lexicon in a very descriptive manor. It might be a bit frustrating though, even for me. Though it's not really something i want to do either, and my posts will probably be a lot less frequent due to lack of motivation and probably less interesting since i have to focus on all my characters instead of one to get to that kind of character limit.

I had a bit of thought of it. I think I'll keep it with the regular roleplay forum for now. When this story is said and done, than I'll decide on the advance roleplay.

@, one very very nagging question has been hanging on my mind since the mention that Quick has received a crossbow. How does one use a crossbow without hands...?

How does Octavia hold a bow and play an instrument without fingures. However, this was Mal's idea and not mine. I will provide an explanation, or try to; Quickly made this crossbow himself. He puts his hoof into the stock, where there is a button. He steadies the bow with one hoof and shoots it with the other. He loads it by wrapping his hoof around an arrow and slotting it up from under the crossbow into the 'chamber' and the process pulls the string back. Here is your explanation.

@, I saw Thunder more as a minor character, you could put him on and let him leave for whatever reason. Ponyborn...bleh. Alicorn are frown upon because they are seen as overpowered/Mary Sue/ Gary Stu. You even said that Alicorn have more MP than Unicorns [excluding a few exceptions]. There are always ways around it, but that's up to you.

Exactly, which is what I want to avoid. I really don't want to hear back from an editor about how it is automatically a Gary Stu fic because I allowed an alicorn to be a supportive main.

I know somepony who made an alicorn oc, and made him weaker than regular ponies. Weak magic, and he seems to constantly forget he has wings. Blaze is not one of those ponies, and he shouldn't be. An Alicorn with flaws can't be a Gary Stu/Mary Sue, and those who see an alicorn and automatically scream; to overpowered because of alicorn need to get their head out of the sand. I've seen more OP main characters in New York Times bestsellers. Seriously, they always overcome everything; Blaze has a drinking problem, a rep he can't shake, and a habit of nearly killing himself, or his marefriend. You're okay, do what you want, not pleasing the crowd. You can't please everypony.

You both are powermodding. When starting and form of roleplay fighting if you had to end your attack with a lead on. Just like pokemon they used an attack. The opponent must decide if the attack hurts them or missing and goes with a counter-attack. Example:

 

Carrick galloped and went to tackle Blaze, the detective went straight for stomach in hopes of pushing him down to the ground.

Quickly saw this and noticed that Carrick had left his cover. He carefully a net shot in hopes of tangling his legs, "Blaze, dodge!" He called, after firing the shot. He quickly reloaded with a grappling shot and used it to switch locations, sure that he'd been discovered.

Daeva used some sort of demon power thing I don't know. I was trying to avoid a fight for this reason. Bucking somanyyoucan'tcount versus one fights.
