Blaze continued to the train station and sat down on a waiting bench. He reached into his saddlebag and pulled out a book he borrowed from the tree library. It was titled 'S Class Magic and Beyond, the Theory of Magic Relitivity by Starswirl the Bearded' he picked up where he left off last which was about one third of the way through.

Carrick eyes looked down. His mind all over the place. Two sides clashed into each other. As they gave their opinion on the matter to continued this case. The case that he had worked so hard upon. A case that could end in terror. He shook his head. I-i have to keep going...right?....

 

Carrick went to the station. His eyes were down, though covered by the shades. Hesitation still overwhelmed his body. No words were said, no movement, nothing. The poker face still intact.

 

The train horn sounds as the train pulled into station. He looked up at the immense size of the train. The brown coat covered it, as the conductor gave a big grin. You could tell he liked his job. "All Aboard!" Carrick went in...

Starbolt sat down next to Blaze and began to read the book that Blaze gave her.

 

"This book is amazing, thanks Blaze." Said Starbolt smiling.

Thunder flew to the library and swept up Trixie before heading onto the train.

Daeva walked into the train, thought she wanted to chase it when it was at full speed instead.

 

"Oh well, I'll do that next time." thought Daeva as she sat near Carrick.

 

She fell asleep before the train even started.

"Glad you like it, hopefully at some point soon we could get to the next step in learning the runic arts" Blaze said. The train pulled up and the conductor told them to board so Blaze levitated his book right beside him as he boarded, He found a seat at the back in the right corner and sat down. He opened his book up and continued to read, it was going to be a long ride and he planned on finishing the book before they reached thier destination.

Starbolt boarded the train and sat next to Blaze. She opened the book and continued to read.

"Hey Blaze, after this is all over can you be my mentor or something?" Asked Starbolt hoping that he would say yes.

"Well I do suppose that I rather like teaching, so yes, that sounds great" Blaze said looking up from his book with a grin, look at me now dad, teaching others about the secrets of magic, would you be proud? Blaze thought. His gaze returned to the pages of the book.

Carrick sat down. He saw Daeva sit next to him. Words couldn't come from his mouth, she slowly dozed off. He shook his head, a habit that seemed to repeat more often than usual. What happened to me? When did all this hesitation came from? The letter...the threat. That's when it started. Also...that dream. Carrick remembered bit and parts of the dream he had last night. The blue pony that made that music...he made a few good points...should I have listen to him?

 

The train gave a loud horn, it signaled that the train was to move once again. The sound of the wheels turned came to Carrick's mind loud. It was like a bullet in the chamber. I'm not sure...Carrick continued his thought of indecisiveness. What about the anger? Carrick turned to Daeva. She said that she killed innocent ponies, that trigger anger into me. Anger I have no seen in such a long while. Carrick thought. Why? What is something else? Maybe...her demon blood? Carrick looked back at Daeva, as she slept peaceful. I don't think so...if that was the case than it would affected everypony, not just me. Carrick sighed, maybe i like her? It could...wait, that doesn't make any sense. I'm getting nowhere! Carrick gave a snort. What if that does make sense, maybe my mind is clouded with chemical imbalances that trigger...wait, no why would that make me angry enough to go attack her?

 

Time continued to past in the train. A lot of theories came into Carrick's mind. Though his mind was shook, he know he needed to be strong. Hopefully, there will be something....we need to push forward...

As the train started she woke up from the noise it made, she looked around to see how everypony was doing and she saw demonic visions.

 

There were flashes of dead ponies everywhere as if there was a horrible train wreck, she was worried this train was a ticket to hell but she didn't tell anypony just to get them worried that they were going to die soon.

 

Daeva left her seat and told her friends that she felt like sitting at the back of the train.

 

"At least I could fly out from the back door if this train was going to crash in the future." she thought.

"Yay!" Starbolt exclaimed excited about Blaze's decision.

She went back to reading her book but she was smiling this time.

She noticed Daeva walk to the back of the train.

As Daeva reached the end of the train she saw another vision again, that something will rip the last section of the train apart.

 

She was terrified, she had no choice but to head back to where her friends at sitting.

Starbolt noticed Daeva's pace she was obviously worried about something.

"Is there something wrong Daeva?" Asked Starbolt in a concerned tone as she put down her book.

'Something has her worried.' She thought.

That's odd, Carrick thought. Why is she going back there? Carrick looked at Daeva as she went to the back of the train. He took a deep breath, to tried to relax his body. He kept pushed the same words in his head If we move forward...we can win this. Though his mind is still clouded with negative thoughts, he felt that if push that matter that he will lose. A battle that would end bad. Unless, Blaze and the others could do it. Blaze is a tough cookie, Carrick thought. Not only his magic abilities, but he thinks in a pretty logical matter. Maybe-

 

Deava came back, it looked like she just saw the devil himself and dragged her into hell. Carrick blinked, from the whole time I've seen her I've never seen anypony look like that in a long time. "Yeah, you okay? You look like you just saw the Grim Reaper."

"I'm fine, I'm just having a slight headache.. That's all." she replied.

 

Daeva sat down near Starbolt this time as she started to started to fall into a deep sleep.

 

She let out a deep sigh and started to think about the amulet again.

 

'Dammit, I should have worn it with me.' she thought.

Starbolt made sure Daeva had was comfortable and had enough space.

'Enjoy your sleep.' She thought.

She turned to Carrick. "What do you think was wrong? She looked very worried and uneasy." Starbolt asked Carrick.

"Not sure. She has been prone to be silent with big problems. So, we better keep an eye out for anything suspicious." Carrick said. This isn't good, I'm not exactly one hundred percentage to have something big happen to us right now. Damn...

"No Blaze if this was about her amulet and cave she would of been acting like that since she got back, but she only started acting worried a few minutes ago." She answered Blaze.

Daeva overheard the conversation they were having, it got her even more worried now that they're on to her.

 

She took a deep breath a said to herself that everything would be all right, that everypony would get off this train alive.

 

But something kept telling her that wasn't going to happen.

"Something must of trigger that response. Maybe a dream, a premonition, perhaps?" Carrick thought aloud. "She does have demon blood, maybe something can trigger such a response like that. I'm not big into those things. I'm just a regular detective, not of one who knows much about demons."

A hooded figure walked past the passenger car and into the front. No suspension were aroused as the cloaked figure had a spell cast. At the front, the engineer was kept the train going. His mind only at the task at hand. He tried to move- Wait...why can't I move?! The pony tried effortless to move a muscle, but was stuck. Is this magic?

 

"I can't let you stop the train, sir." The voice came behind the engineer.

Blaze felt the presence of evil magic, he smelled the faint burn of ozone that S magic let off, Blaze instantly stood from his seat "EVERYPONY GET CLOSE TO ME NOW" Blaze said in a painicked voice. He didnt know what was going on for sure but he knew that the train might not be there for much longer.

Daeva knew everypony in this train was in danger, she stood up and stared at the hooded pony and her eyes turned red.

 

When she blinked she teleported over and strangled it's neck with demonic power as Daeva snapped it right off.

 

She turned back to normal and took it's hood off.

 

"Maybe it's one of Ice Star's minions and he didn't expect a devil like me would be on it. Nopony hurts my friends, especially heartless monsters like you." she said as she bucked the body right out of the window.

 

Everypony was shocked at what I just did but a few thanked me for saving the train, this time I felt as if I had control over my powers but she can only tap into it when she knew her loved ones were in trouble.

Blaze closed his eyes and began to use his magic sense to scan the area. He saw 5 or 6 magic objects on the train. He opened his eyes again "The train is rigged to blow everypony get close to me we need to teleport out of here" Blaze said.

Daeva didn't expect the train would be rigged to blow up, she thought the pony that wanted to stop the train was the only problem.

 

"So what are we waiting for, lets get teleporting before the whole train explodes!"
