Daeva knew Starbolt was going to have to go through an emotional breakdown from Carrick being coltnapped but there was nothing to do for now except tracking him down.

 

"Don't worry Starbolt, we'll find Carrick back.." she said in a soft tone.

 

She looked at Blaze and asked "What's in that file?"

Carrick took some time to go with his statement "Emotions don't give away from morals. Even if I don't go with emotions doesn't make me lose my Equinty."

 

Hmm, maybe you're right. Emotions don't always play a role in morality, but still a smart pony once said: Ponies are more moral than they think and far more immoral than they can imagine. I can prove on how wrong you are. It all happened here didn't it? Here in Fillydelphia.

 

"You're talking about that case, aren't you?"

 

Of course. I know a bit about you, Carrick Murphy. That case...how did you find out about that filly?

 

"...It ended because I torture a pony. I went and electrified him for hours on end until he spilled his guts. He died shortly after."

 

For a pony who goes around with this equinty, you seemed to be okay with torture and murder.

 

"After that day, I promise myself that I wouldn't go that far into depth. To never used that method. I'm not a god."

 

Ponies break promises when they see that it becomes an advantage for them. You'll see that soon enough.

Hmm, really? What about when you said that? You didn't sound remorseful when you said those words.

Carrick shook his head, "Maybe if you knew about what happened to Snow, than you'd changed your words. She left a filly in a closet for Celestia knows how long. I did not raise my hoof on her. Nor did I hurt her. I even save her life."

 

Snow? Ha! That's irrelevant.

 

"and how is it? It's morality isn't it? She went and left a filly in a closet. You're accusing me of being immoral. Yet, I was able to look the other cheek on this."

 

You're still not emotional about your decision.

 

"I can't regret any of my decision. I choose it at that point. I can only use it as a reminder of what not to do. If I am remorse, it's for a short while. Plus, didn't you say emotions aren't always involve in morals?" Carrick said.

 

...I guess I thought you were somepony else. Something like me....you...are not even close. You seem to still have these morals. Least you believe that. The pony hit Carrick by surprised on the right cheek...

"I have reason to believe that this file is what Carrick was looking at before he disappeared, so obviously our next step is to go to the downtown area of filly." Blaze said, he handed the file over to the other ponies so they could look at the file also.

"Blaze, you have any hangover medication?" he asks, wincing at the sound of voices, "Everypony's voices are grating on me, no offense. I have a massive, raging headache. I wish you didn't have to buy booze to get a bartender to talk..." he sighs, "My first drink. I almost never want another one again... And that does look like the file. I caught a peak when I was taking a step outside."

"W-what? How? Carrick is gone?" She couldn't believe it. She disappeared in a flash of light.

Starbolt reappeared on a roof of a house several houses away from the apartment. She started to cry.

 

Fae woke up on what used to be the table of the apartment.

She looked around for Starbolt. She felt Starbolt was conscious and wanted to be alone so she just hovered behind Blaze.

Blaze was not surprised that starboit took it as hard as she did, he decided to give her space. "Sorry Quick, I do know a pain numbing spell but I don't know for sure if I can pull it off." He decided to give it a try slightly touching the tip of his glowing horn to Quick's forehead. He released some MP hoping the spell would work. "Do you feel any better?" Blaze asked.

"As much as I'd like to read all of this could you just tell me an idea what the stuff in this folder says? Time is running out and we should hurry downtown as find Carrick before he's in any danger." she said to Blaze and the others.

Hypno watched as Statbolt left and sighed. This was obviously exactly what he had thought was going to happen when the group split up. He just made up his mind with deciding to follow Blaze now, seeing he was probably the leader now. He looked over to Snow "Do you have any idea where they would of taken Carrick?" He asked her. He thought that she would most likely decline his question, seeing he thought Snow hated Carrick.

Daeva turned her head slightly enough to look both Hypno and Snow. "I doubt she'll help us out, she's declined all of our questions related to Ice Star and since somepony is in danger she might decide to help.." she said turned back and walked over to the window..

 

She sighed.. "I hope you're fine Carrick.." she whispered to nopony.

"A little. Thanks Blaze," he says, shaking his head. He then gets pale and rushes off to the restroom. Sounds of a sick pony can be heard from the inside of the stall, along with the sounds of Quick creatively cursing alcohol.

Snow looked at Deava, "I'm just here for Hypno. I don't like Carrick Murphy. One bit, he's a manipulating son of a bitch who bucked me over."

 

"However, I really don't know much about corpus sine pectore's location. The only ponies who would know the exact location would be his squad and Ice Star himself. The rest only know that it's here in Fillydelphia."

After a few minutes of crying and sobbing Starbolt composed herself. She teleported back to the apartment.

'I will find you Carrick.' She thought as she put on his fedora. "Where do we go." She asked Blaze in a serious tone.

Fae hovered next to Starbolt.

Daeva looked at Snow and said "I personally don't like him but we've got to find him, he knows about Ice Star more than anypony here.. Not that you care since you work for him.."

 

She heard Starbolt's serious voice, "Easy there Starbolt, we'll find him.." she said as she placed her hoof on her shoulder. "Don't worry, he's a strong stallion.. He'll live." she added not knowing if that made it any better.

 

"Blaze, what's the plan?" she asked.

Carrick rubbed his right cheek, the detective fell over ....You've won this battle, Murphy. I know when to back off. I'll be back. Just like that, the pony left. In an instance, as Carrick is only stuck with the darkness and his mind.

 

He didn't know what that pony had planned for him. Maybe to tried to destroy him mentally until Carrick just gives up, surrendered his will. He looked at the walls again.

 

He tried to tip his hat, but realized that it's lost. Damn...that's my favorite hat. Carrick's hoof went down his mane, he felt uncomfortable that the hat was not on him anymore, he shook himself. I wonder what will happen to everypony. I didn't ask him what happened at the battle. He could of taken them all. He just went and started this battle. No matter what I choose, it's lose-lose.

 

If they survive will they find Blaze? Hopefully, he can start what I finished. Hopefully they told them the north district, if anypony can do it. It's Blaze. Carrick thought as he tapped the bricks. He pressed his ear on the bricks to hear nothing but the sound of air.

 

Why leave me unharmed? If anything, I should be dead. I'm not sure if I should be thankful or worried. A lot of thoughts just popped into his mind. What about Starbolt?....will she be okay? Just from the look of time we tried to split the group, she wouldn't of given up even if my logic was right....is she still alive? Carrick remembered her face, her voice, he said aloud "I miss her already."

 

((OOC: There isn't much I can do atm. They'll be another battle soon, of course, but you ponies need to start moving soon. I'm taking a nap. ))

Hypno nodded towards Snow "Alright." He said kindly. He then looked over to Clocks, who looked at bit jittery. He walked over to him. "You alright?"

 

"Feelin' a bit ah... Thirsty..." He said simply.

 

Hypno sighed. He fished out a bag from his pack and handed it to him. "Here..." he said as he walked away back to Snow.

 

Clocks got Aces to mix the blood up with some alcohol and put a bendy straw in it. And one of those little umbrellas that are put in drinks. He sipped on it as he watched the group

 

Hypno sat next to Snow now. He went to grab one for himself, but noticed there was nothing left in his pack besides various tools and small weapons. "Buck..." he said as his face paled.

Starbolt noticed Hypno's expression. "What? What's wrong!?" She asked him annoyed at the fact that this will delay Carrick's rescue.

'Starbolt maybe you should calm down.' Fae told her. "Not now Fae!" She told Fae angrily.

Hypno shrugged "I didn't pack... any... more food..." He said trying to explain himself in the most harmless manner. He kept digging in his pack to see if he had missed it. But there was nothing left. And the last blood pack was given to Clocks.

"Well maybe you sho-" She was cut off by Fae's magic. Starbolt slumped to the floor.

Fae levitated the unconscious pony to the couch.

'Should only last a few minutes. Maybe she would be calmer when she wakes up.' She thought to herself.

Blaze began looking over the file again, he thought for a moment, if the crimes were happening in the northern area of Filly wouldn't that be the uptown area? He got his terminology mixed up, and he never did that. He sat down for a second his head spinning. The air around him felt thick, he could not breath. He began to hyperventilate, and then, noticing the others were staring at him he said "I need to go outside and get some air"

 

He left the apartment and stepped outside in the cool air. Leaving himself to his thoughts. In the past three days he had left Carrick and the group, trained his flank of, regained some of his magical abilities, got threatened by an unknown enemy, found out Carrick was coltnapped, found evidence on where he might be, and had a mental breakdown. He thought about Carrick, was it Blaze's fault that Carrick was coltnapped? Blaze felt a tinge of sadness pull at his heart.

Fae decided it was best to shadow Blaze just in case more of Ice Star's assassins show up.

Starbolt slowly regained consciousness. 'Fae!' She thought to herself recognizing Fae's sleep spell.

She looked around. "Where's Blaze?" She asked the group.

She followed Blaze out "Are you okay? You look a little bit troubled.." she said in a worried tone.

 

Daeva looked at him. "Is it about Carrick being coltnapped? All I know is that standing around isn't doing any good and we should get the team moving.."

Thunder started walking towards Blaze and the rest of the group when he saw Starbolt. "Hey, how are you doing," he asked her with a smile. "Sorry about your uh... coltfriend," he continued as he sat next to her.

Quickly stepped out of the restroom looking better. One look at Hypno made him immediately frown and sigh in defeat. He walks up to Hypno, and says stiffly,"You can use me as a blood pack, but be warned, I'm salted and drunk. Which means I taste like a blood pack mixed with alcohol."

Blaze was assessing his thoughts outside when he felt like he was being watched, he looked around and saw Fae spying on him. "Oh, what do you want?" Blaze said knowing that she would not be able to reply to him.

Daeva was clearly ignored by Blaze, maybe because it was he thoughts that came in the way as well as Fae.

 

"Ahem.." she muttered as she went back into the apartment where Quick & Hypno was, it was like he was offering his blood to him..

 

"Urmm.. What are you doing Quickly?" she asked with a weird look.
