"Yes, i'm okay, but not exactly good either." He replied as he used his magic from the chair he was sitting on to open the door. The entire room seemed to be a rather well kept royal-like library of magic. Every wall had countless scrolls and book of magic upon them. Hypno then stopped the record that was playing. "Hi" He said simply.

A paradise for a researcher, Snow thought as she saw Hypno's room. A library that Twilight Sparkle would love to read each and every scroll, book, every type of information. Snow took a few steps and sat next to Hypno. "Well, what's going on? Did something happened inside Blaze's manor?" She asked.

"Besides being attacked by one of my old enemies, nope. Nothing too bad." He said with a shrug, trying to play off his glum attitude he had when he walked in. The exact face Snow had made bothered him, and due to the fact it came from somepony he cared about made him feel even more like a unwanted freak then he already thought he was. Quickly flew past his first alcohol stop. It was painful; every downward stroke stretched his cut and drained his stamina, but he kept moving. At somepoint, Den rejoined him chirping. He still had the ribbons, which ment he couldn't find Blaze. It made sense, Den hadn't seen him before. He kept flying.

Blaze finished his breakfast and cleaned up his dishes. Afterwards he whistled for Yuki his majestic phoenix entered through the open window it landed on Blazes outstretched hoof. Blaze wrote a letter and attatched it to yuki's talon. "Take this to Hypno" Blaze said. "It says that me and Daeva will be heading out soon, and we need an army of our own so if Hypno could help us out in that department, that would be great"

Okay Blaze anything else? Yuki asked

"No that should be it" Blaze said as Yuki lifted off and out the door

Luckily for Yuki she already had Hypno's scent, so she found him in a old manor on the outskirts of Canterlot, she flew through a open window and landed in front of Hypno and let out a phoenix chirp.

Hypno looked rather irritated and off set as he noticed the phoenix. He grabbed the the note and read it. He stuffed it in his side pocket afterward and turned back to Snow. "I'm... fine. Me nor my feelings do not matter really. Neither can be fixed anyways." He said.

Snow eyes widen for a second, she was right. The look she gave him was the reason why he is acting like this. The look of disgust when he smelled her body. She still didn't like it, but it really has affected him a lot. "Why do you say that? What is going on, you can't keep leaving everything hidden." Snow said.

"The only thing i can think i haven't mentioned is that i'm getting incredibly hungry. To the point where i can smell the stench of blood coming off of you from the point i'm sitting now. I usually try to keep away from everypony and limit physical contact to a zero, obviously i failed that one in the other room." He explained still taking his sitting position.

The phoenix released another chirp as she flapped her wings and lifted off. She flew out the window and to the open skies, she decided that now would be a great time to go and visit her good friend Philomena, Princess Celestia's phoenix. Yuki flew through the castle gardens, she saw a skylight on the top of the thrown room and decided to fly in through there. Yuki flew directly upwards until she divebombed gracefully through the skylight. She extended her wings out and glided over to the bird post that Philomena was normally on. Philomina was not on the bird post so Yuki decided to land on it herself and just wait for her. That was when she heard Princess Celestia talking to, well, it seemed like herself. Philomena decided to eavesdrop.

"Yes, I did, and he had a friend with him. Yes it was that vampire." Princess Celestia said

Then there was a moment of silence.

"What do you mean? People knew that he was here with me I could not just off him here. I had to make it look legit, I even gave him an artifact so no one would get suspicious" Celestia said again

Another moment of silence.

"Hmm? Oh yes, the pits of Tartarus are still quite open, I have been trying to keep them open for as long as possible but that wretched Luna has been thwarting me at every turn, it is only a matter of time before she succeeds in closing it. Yes I will send royal guards for Blaze right now" Celestia said

Another moment of silence

"Well no there is nothing else,Yes my lord we are Ningues Devoto, we are the beginning of the end" Celestia said

Before Celestia stopped talking Yuki knew she had to escape and tell Blaze. She flew through the skylight only to crash into Philomena.

And where do you think you are going Philomena said

Philomena, it is so good to see you, something is wrong with the princess Yuki said

No the princess is just fine, in fact she is better than she has ever been Philomena said

Wait a second, you aren't Philomena- Yuki was cut off

Very observant, now shall I eat you raw or cook you first? Philomena asked

Neither Yuki said releasing a firebolt and then speeding off in the direction of Blaze

It only stalled Philomena for a moment, and then something strange happened. Philomena morphed her shape changing to that of a large shadowy crow, black wispy like moving shadows made up her feathers. She now had pure red eyes and was twice the size of Yuki.

Yuki had no time to observe, she caught an up-current in the air and began to fly at top speeds. She released a jet of fire behind her, acting as a thruster making her go insanely fast, but not fast enough. The crow teleported in the path of Yuki, and used a form of magic to make a wall of shadows. Yuki instantly changed her flightpath from horizontal to vertical barely dodging the wall of shadows. Yuki continued to burn hotter going faster. She changed her flight path back to the direction of Blaze. Yuki increased her heat output until she began to burn blue. The crow reappeared in front of her again putting up a wall of shadows. This time Yuki did not change her direction, she continued to go forward, only she opened her mouth releasing a blue fire wave that blew back on Yuki effectively makeing yuki a flaming spear. She blew straight through the wall of shadows and through the crow itself killing it.

 

Yuki lost most of her feathers in the fight and was now almost completely naked except for the feathers on her wings. She spotted an open window at the manor and flew straight in crashing into Blaze.

 

Blaze who was reading the paper on the couch was surprised when a half molted phoenix crashed straight into him sending him off the couch and to the ground. Blaze was on his back, he opened his eyes slightly to see Yuki on his stomach.

"HOLY CELESTIA! What happened to you?" Blaze asked.

That's just it, Celestia! She is not who you think she is. I just visited the castle to hang out with Philomena and I overheard her talking. She was the one who opened the gates to tartarus, Luna has been trying to close the pits of tartarus but princess celestia just keeps opening them, and to make matters worse, she is sending royal guards here right now! Yuki said panicked, the rest of her feathers fell off of her wings.

Blaze was stunned. "If you are telling the truth then we got to get out of here. Daeva get your things, we are leaving right now." Blaze said to Daeva who was on the couch watching the whole thing, of course Daeva could not hear Yuki.

I don't have much time, I am about to turn to ash. It will probably last longer this time since I used up a lot of power. Just leave my ashes here, I will find you again. But for now you need to go.

"Alright Yuki. Thank you for the information. You are the best familiar a mage could ask for" Blaze said. The bird nodded and then turned to a pile of ash.

Snow nodded, she understood why he did such a thing, but it was still odd to her. Guess it's hard to hold such a impulse, she thought as she stare at Hypno. "Well, can't you raid another blood bank so you don't feel the urge to do so?" She asked, wondering if that was an option at all.

Quickly arrived at the outskirts of the crater. It still radiated magical power; it looked like vapor rising from the dirt. The tower stood in the center, untouched, like a bare tooth stabbing the sky. Heh, should call this place Earth's Tooth now,he thinks, trotting across the crater. It took him some time, but eventually he made it to the front door. He trotted around it a few times, but didn't see another entrance. He pondered the wisdom of his next move. Ah hay, I'm gunna die no matter what I do, might as well... He knocked on the front door.

"Guess i can't even hug somepony correctly anymore" He sighed before answering "I could, but in times like this things like that will be locked down, guarded. And i don't have any sneaking magic either." He explained. "And just to top that off i got to do things too. Blaze want's me to build us a small army, Midnight will get his troops, while i will go and find some of my old friends." He added. Starbolt was sat next to Carrick and leaned on his shoulder and quickly fell a sleep from exhaustion.

 

Fae noticed several royal guards approaching Blaze's manor. She assumed that they were sent by Celestia to assist them. The royal guards knocked at the door. Fae thought somepony would open the door so she remained on the roof.

Yeah, I guess I was right. It was about the look I gave him.Hypno's gave her the reassurance that he was worried about it. I guess many ponies have gave him a look just like that. However, it probably wasn't for the same thing, instead it was just because he was a vampire. Hypno than ask if she would like to go on a journey with him to fight against Ice Star again. She wasn't sure about it. Was is time to just help him? Maybe it was. "I'll go, I don't want to stay here and do nothing...even if I can't do magic." She said.

Carrick let Starbolt relaxed as the he closed his eyes as well. Though he didn't go to sleep, he enjoyed not to stare at the same wall for such a long time. He has been here for so long that if he continue to see it, he actually might start going a bit loopy. He took a deep breath and enjoyed Starbolt's body leaned on him. She really is something else, Carrick thought.

"Cool beans, but you don't magic for this anyways... Unless somehow my buddies have gotten really violent over the years." He said with a slight chuckle. "We gotta find a few people, Midnight will do the rest. Fire Dust, Shadow, and Stitches. The last two i would suggest you be careful around though" He explained.

Daeva heard what Blaze said and replied him "What did your pet bird say? Why do we have to go?" she asked as she stood up and approached him. She saw a pile of ash on the floor. "Wait.. Is that?" she stopped and just stared at it, speechless.

 

"Should we take the pile of ash with us?"

"No no, we don't have time for that right now. Go and pack us some food, apples, grapes, cucumbers, things that won't spoil right away. We have a long journey ahead of us, I need to go and tell Aunty Vyra that she needs to leave. My phoenix told me Celestia is not really Celestia, and she is sending royal guards here to get us right now, they will no doubt get Vyra to if we don't warn her." Blaze said.

 

Blaze galloped off towards the back yard where Vyra was lounging on the deck sunbathing. "Vyra! You have to trust me. Some royal guards are going to come here soon, and if you are here they will no doubt take you. You need to leave before that happens" Blaze said panicked.

"Calm down dear. or you will get a heart attack. If what you said is true, then I have an underground escape route out of Canterlot down under the manor" Vyra said.

((OOC I was feeling really really sick, but I got a power nap and am feeling much better))

Blaze let out a sigh of relief.

"Just meet me in the library when you are ready."

Blaze nodded and went to pack his saddle bags.

Daeva went up into Blaze's room where she left her saddlebag and threw it onto her back, she quickly ran back down and swiped all the food that wouldn't get spoiled quickly into her bag and went over to Blaze. "I'm ready, let's get the hoof out of here!" she said as she helped Blaze pack his saddlebag.

Blaze put together a standard survival kit (compass, map, small metal pot, dry firestarting tinder, and 4 mp potions) and stowed it in his pack. He put on his saddle bag and then tied his cloak on, it was the cloak that was given to him by the fake princess Celestia, but it worked. The cloak was a white cloak with a gold trim, if you looked closely you could see sparkles of red ingrained in the fabric. It was no doubt a beautiful cloak, and Blaze could not understand why the fake Celestia would let him go with such a priceless artifact. More than likely it was because she thought that she was going to capture him right after anyways. To bad for her he was about to escape.

 

Blaze adjusted his cloak a bit, and then said "Okay, lets go". They walked down to the library where Vyra had already opened the secret passageway in the shelves. "Follow me closely, it is easy to get lost down here."

 

Blaze and Daeva followed Vyra closely down a dark underground corridors, they seemed to be walking for ever. Finally the dark passageway opened to a rather large room that was essentially a dead end. Vyra used her magic to light the torches on the wall.

"Aunty what is the deal? I thought this passageway leads out of Canterlot?"

"Indeed indeed it does." Vyra said "But what I forgot to mention is that the corridor is not the thing that leads out of canterlot. You see?" Vyra said as she pulled a tarp off of something quite large that stood at the back of the room. The tarp fell away revealing a large stone ring that laid vertically up against the wall making what could have looked like a normal stone arch, except for the fact that there was runes made out of gemstones embedded inside of the ring.

Blaze was flabbergasted "This is a rune gate." Blaze said "You made this?"

"Well... yes and no. Your dad helped me with a lot of it before he passed away. It had been sitting in here for a while so I finished it recently... and made another one to link it to in my log cabin manor in Baltimare." Vyra said

"This is quite amazing. What is the power source? Is there a MP battery attached to it?"

That is when Vyra's horn glowed powering the gate, the ring spinning, a purple liquid like portal opening in the middle of it.

"But Aunty? If you are the one who is powering it how are you going to come with us?" Blaze said with a laugh, as if he thought Vyra was just being absent minded.

"I am not coming with you honey. I am going to stay here."

"But the guards will get you!"

"I know, and that is a risk that I am willing to take. Look, you just focus on getting out of here. Don't worry about me." Vyra said as she walked up to Blaze and kissed him on the forehead.

"NO! I won't let you do th-" Blaze was cut off as Vyra used a telekinesis to pick up Blaze and Daeva. "NO DON'T" Blaze yelled

"Stay strong Blaze, you are the last of the phoenixtear lineage, and the most powerful. You have it in you..." Vyra said with a tear in her eye, and that was the last thing Blaze heard before he was forced into the portal by Vyra's telekinesis.

There was a loud crashing sound upstairs, and Vyra knew that the guards were here already. The guards using mp wave sense, quickly found the hidden doorway behind the bookcases, they ran down the corridors and found Vyra standing there, the runic gate reduced to little more than gravel. She did not fight as the guards detained her and put her in chains.

Princess Celestia entered the room soon after. "You are under arrest for aiding and abetting a terrorist." Celestia said, her eyes narrowed.

Vyra said nothing, she just nodded and let the guards escort her out of the corridors.

 

Blaze and Daeva emerged from the rune gate just in time to see it close. They were standing in a very huge very plush log cabin, they were actually in the basement, but the cabin was so nice that it just felt like a bottom floor.

Blaze's demeanor changed from determine to depressed, sorrow shown in his eyes as he stood there.

"Come on..." He said as he began to ascend the stairs to the first floor. "Let's get this over with"

Fae remained on the roof not really interested on what the guards wanted. The guards then broke down the door and went inside. Fae quickly flew and turned invisible. She watched the guards arrest Vyra knowing she couldn't do anything to help now that Celestia was there.

The ferret walked over to Midnight. "It's for you to get your troops." It said simply. He had seen Hypno get the letter, so he told Midnight in advance.

 

Midnight nodded and took his two guards and headed back to the sewers.

 

"So are you ready? We should find Fire first. He is rather nice compared to the other two though" Hypno asked Snow.

Snow looked at herself. She really didn't bring much, but the clothes on her back. She nodded as Hypno and said to him, "Well, I'm not so sure about helping you with all of this, but I feel that it might be something fun." She said. Snow smiled at him, hoping to that would help just a bit.

"The first stop could be" Hypno chuckled. He gave a slight smile back. "Thankfully, all three live in the Canterlot region, so we will not have to travel too far." He said as he headed for the door. Quickly knocked again and the door slowly opened. He walked inside and looked around. He saw nothing but a lever. I got nothing to lose... He pulled the lever and the floor slid out from underhim. He grabbed onto the ledge, and mysteriously his wings wouldn't hold air anymore. He started lossing his grip and fell down into a pit.

Daeva didn't know what to say after what Vrya did for both Blaze and herself. She heard what Blaze said and he followed him down the stairs. "I'm sorry about what happened to Vrya.." she said as tears emerged from her eyes. Daeva swiped it off with her hooves "Where are we going to go now?" she asked Blaze.
