Blaze said. "Lets walk up this stream a bit and see if we cant find any edible plants around here" Blaze suggested.

"I haven't been eating any plants/vegetables since that first time we met, when we were eating at the cafe." she said as she drifted away thinking about the times when she just met Blaze when she crashed through that painful window at the treehouse.

"Oh yeah, that is right. I remember you telling me about your carnivore days. To be quite honest the only meat I ever eat is fish. But that is just me. I know a way to make a great sauteed salmon, it makes my mouth just water thinking about it" Blaze said as they walked down the stream bank. He spotted in a clearing a apple tree. Not just any apple tree, a zap apple tree, in full bloom. Blaze was awestruck, zap apples are normally hardly ever in season. "Are you seeing what I am seeing?" Blaze said rubbing his eyes to make sure he was not imagining it.

"What was that?" She said.

'I think it was one of the ponies downstairs.' The Fae replied.

Starbolt went downstairs to see what happend. The Fae followed her.

Carrick was resting, something he hasn't done that since the Snow incident. His eyes were shut, he hasn't fully went to sleep. His body is cautious, and his mind kept had bounced thoughts all over his head. The loud sound of Quick's shout, opened Carrick eyes. Teleportation? Carrick saw the random MP bottles appear on the ground. Carrick rubbed his head, "You okay Quick?" That's right, Blaze and Daeva are having fun with each other, must've teleported them. Carrick realized. He really didn't mind that the group rested, it had been a stressful few days. With little to no rest, ponies could make mistakes.

 

Carrick gave a big yawn as he saw Starbolt and her Fae, "Oh, hey. You get a good night sleep?" Carrick asked, he remembered the conversation with her. Stuttering, hesitation, and the red cheeks. He was curious to see if she would do it again.

"Y-yes I had a restful sleep." She replied to Carrick blushing again.

'You always talk like that in front of him?' The Fae told her as it hovered next to her.

Hm, the same reaction. Stuttering and a slight blush once again. There is something odd going on with her. "Well, if you don't know already, Daeva and Blaze are having fun again. So we'll be taking a nice break, I guess it's good. The team has been done a great job.If there was a store I'd being buying food and drinks." Carrick joked slightly.

 

"So, sit back and relax. After they come back, we'll be going off. I already have a plan for Snow." Carrick said.

Hypno had woken up next to Snow, but felt a bit groggy. He looked around but started to wake up fully when he heard the words "I have a plan for Snow" he looked at Carrick. "And... What would that plan be?" he asked with a frown.

"The plan is to teleport her to the police. With a signed note from me telling what happened. It would have to be at the police station, regardless of what happens. There would have to put her in custody. Sweetie Belle would have to testify to what happened to her. She'll probably be in jail for at least fillynapping." Carrick said.

"Couldn't we just... take her with?" he asked "It's not like she wanted to take this Sweetie Belle" he argued with him about the matter with the knowledge he obtained earlier. He has said he was going to protect the pony, so he felt the need to try to defend her from being sent to jail.

"I remember to day where I snuck out over to Applejack's place and stole a few jars before anypony noticed and once I was back home I tried tasting it and it was great, though that was the last time I've ever seen it and it was already made into jam instead of the actual apple itself."

 

Daeva inspected it, eager to take a bite straight off the tree. That's what she did, and it filled her mouth with rainbow goodness.

 

"It's really refreshing!" she said with a mouthful of apples.

Carrick shook his head, "Even if what you're saying is true. She hasn't had any consent that she is with disagrees with Ice Star values and morals. I've already seen her breakdown, because of that pony. The only other option would be to take her magic away." Carrick said.

"She can't disagree with him. To my knowledge if you do he will beat you into submission." he explained "Look, my friend here is a highly traumatized looking pony. On the brink of losing it. Putting her in a cell while she thinks some tyrant is going to save her isn't going to her that fact not one bit." he said trying to get him to agree "In what way would we, 'take her magic away' now?"

"Really?" Blaze picked a zap apple and ate it. It was unlike any apple he had ever tasted, the amount of sweet and sour was just perfect. The tastes seemed to change as he chewed. "Lets pick a bunch!" Blaze said as he began to pick them and put them in his right saddlebag.

Thunder had overheard Carrick and Hypno's conversation and decided to walk up to them. "There is a third choice," he said darkly. His hand hovering over his saddlebag as he looked at Snow with disgust.

Carrick did consider his point, the pony he did see became worst in a erratic amount of time. It is possible that she has been naive when she had meet Ice Star. "Your point does stand, maybe it was something else. However, I can't just team up with her because of that fact. She has gone off the deep end and I don't have ability to just return her back to normal. That would take at best, months. Which I don't have." Carrick said, as he than explain the other option. "There is a certain magic ritual that is done when ponies are arrested for doing an illegal magic spell. The ritual itself could take months however, one shot of it would take her magic for quite a while. Trixie has lost her magic for at least a month because of it of the ritual."

 

Carrick looked at Thunder, "You don't understand that I'm not going to kill a pony in cold blood, do you?"

Hypno chuckled with a grin "Well, you may not have the skill to help this pony's mental stability, but i think i do. After all, before i became a psychotic vampire who uses illegal magic i was a therapist." Hypno was about to reply to Carricks suggestion but noticed Thunder and pulled the sword from it's sheath and put it up to his hoof in one quick motion. "Now i'm trying to have a rational talk and you are soiling it with your vendetta" he said with a sigh.

 

With the sword at Thunder he turned back to Carrick "You mean like a remedy that can temporarily take magic away? I think i have a recipe for something like that at my camp actually. Should take about a hour to find the right ingredients, if they're not at the camp too." he explained to him.

Daeva flew up and picked a lot of apples until she couldn't carry any more and she threw all of it into Blaze's bag, she continued picking them until there were no more left to pick.

 

"I think that's the last one, let's go back and see if we bump into any berries!" she suggested.

Now that there was more company Starbolt seemed to be less nervous.

"So Carrick, are we going with Hypno's plan?" She asked him.

'Why don't we just leave her here.'

"You know we can't do that." She replied looking at her Fae.

"Good idea!" Blaze said, they walked back the way they came, to his surprise there was no berry bushes anywhere near them "I think we should just return to the cabin and drop off the apples and maybe go back out if we need more food." Blaze said

Quick noddd that he was fine. He watched them for a while, and then the green one talking to Carrick turned a sword on the pegasi. I groaned, "Again with the at each other's throats! This is not a fast way to get to Rainbow Dsah," he mumble to himself, looking out a window. Hey, a Zap-apple storm. I remember these from the race around Equestria! he thought, I remember that race. That was the one where I stuffed snow in a bottle and melted it for drinking. I also flew through clouds for moisture. Zap-apple clouds feel... weird.

"It's not like I don't have the skill, I just don't have enough experience to do something like that. It would at least take me months or probably more." Carrick said, He read a small bit on psychology. However, it probably wouldn't be enough to fix this pony anytime soon.

 

"Right now, I just want the fastest way possible for her not to be the threat. Which doesn't involve harming her." Carrick said, "However, I don't think I've ever heard of a recipe that doesn't involve magic to take away magic from a pony temporarily."

Daeva wanted to do some training, knowing more about what she can do with her powers. Blaze was a perfect pony to do this with, so she wanted to ask him if he would like to.

 

"Hey Blaze, I would like to do some training before we go back. I'd like to learn more about my powers and to have the ability to do more instead of blasting things, maybe protective auras or AoE spells." she asked.

Day dreaming about racing with Rainbow Dash, and, unfortunately, leaning on the windowsill, Quick fell otside. It was a short drop, but he was embarressed, and had a bit of hurt pride. He quickly stood and brushed himself off. I need to clear my head, he thought, snapping out his wings. A few minutes of flight time would do him good, Especially this high up, where I can breath the lowwer density mountain air.
