Clocks was strartled by the scream, and accidentally fell over in his chair, smacking his head into the group "Gha!" He yelled "Buckin' palooka betta shuddup" He mumbled. Aces the helped him up.

 

Hypno was busy chuckling after he noticed Clocks fall over. He then turned to listen.

"..." he blanky stairs out into the city. The sun was creeping up, warming his face, but he didn't care. I don't like this. I don't like this at all. We're going up against a rune-user with one magically adept pony, a black magic using vampire, and two strong, but magicless ponies. This pony is not only physically fit, he's smart, levelheaded, and nameless.

Carrick place the file back into the cabinet. "Thanks Liam, we'll be heading out now. Better to go when there isn't much ponies out and about." Carrick saw the Princess Celestia already started her duty. The sun slowly rose up from the east. "Been a pleasure to meet you again, Carrick. Next time you have free time, we'll have some stories to talk about," Liam laughed hard as he took a quick sip of his scotch.

"What's the plan now Carrick?" She asked him as she packed her things.

Fae flew out the window and looked around outside, she saw a pony on a roof nearby but the pony quickly jumped behind the roof, Fae flew to see who it was but the pony vanished.

'That was rather suspicious.' She thought to herself.

He steps outside to wait, forgetting to close the door. "Such a distasteful man. Drinks away his check and his mind. Probably not even romantic," he grumbles, "Maybe the girls in this town'll be better." He thinks of Wings and smiles,"probably won't be as good as W- Stop it. You knew him all of 30 minutes, lovesick fool. Do your job, get back to relationships later. For a year, 5 months, if I'm unlucky. That was some fi-ine piece of tail," he says quietly to himself, staring off dreamily.

Carrick ignored Quick's mumbling to himself as Starbolt asked what his plan would be. Carrick place his hoof on his chin as he took some deep thought into it. "In a magical standpoint, we'd lose. We wouldn't be able to fight him head on like Snow. Physical as well. The only route that would be possible if a trap. If we can trap him in a place where he can't use his magic, than we'd have a shot."

 

"Still, that's still hard to do without either using some sort of spell or getting close enough to damage his horn." Carrick continued to think about it.

Hypno walked over to a chair and sat down. He still thought about what Clocks said and it oddly got to his head I'm not a chicken He thought as he mentally pouted

 

"What about a anti-magic facility or portable device?" Clocks suggested with his hat on his face. His usually pikey like itallian accent went a bit more technical. He took his hat off his face and placed it on his head "Ya'know, like a EMP for electronics, cept for magic. You c- Buck it, Aces can explain it ta ya" He shrugged

 

Aces sighed "You could lead dis palooka in a room and set it off, disabling his magic temporarily." He said "Then go in for the kill"

 

Clocks giggled "Heh heh, Yeah, da kill" Clocks added.

'Starbolt I think Ice Star knows we are here.' Fae told her about the pony on the roof.

"Carrick, Fae sa-" Starbolt was cut off by an explosion in front of the group, she was flung towards the wall and everything went dark.

Carrick's detective senses were tickling. He did feel that somepony was watching us. Carrick didn't want to start suspicion just yet. and just wanted to leave. Maybe there would be a chance for us to think of something when we were out of the building. Usually these ponies are discreet, especially in this district. Carrick had an aching feeling in his back of his head.

 

"Carrick, Fae sa-" An explosion in front of building. The shock wave itself sent Starbolt finding to the opposite side. Carrick held, but fell down. The sound of high-pitch ringing came from his ears. Son of a bitch, they don't care anymore! Carrick thought. He had to think fast on this. He didn't know if they could hear him.

 

"Hypno, Quick, the rest of you. Go get Starbolt and group up with Blaze. Tell him the North District of Fillydelphia. We can't lose the rest of the group. Get the hell out of here!" Carrick bolted right after as he opened the door. The spur of the moment as he looked around for the group.

 

He looked on the ground....Celestia have mercy....a blinding light appear under him....Carrick was gone....

Starbolt sat up and looked around. She was thrown out of the building, just then a bunch of hooded ponies appeared.

They started casting various spells. Starbolt put up a defensive ward absorbing most of their spells.

She fought back firing a barrage of fireballs at one and calling down lightning on another. But their were to many and her magical power was low. The potions. She threw out one of Fae's explosive potions at them knocking most of them aside.

She advanced but was knocked down by another hooded pony. The pony closed in for the killing blow....

 

Fae was disoriented from the explosion. She knew Starbolt was still alive because she still felt the connection to her. She flew down and saw another smaller explosion. She saw Starbolt knocked down and a pony with a hood ready to finish her off. Fae willed the earth to defend Starbolt, roots appeared out of the concrete and wrapped around the pony, he struggled but the roots were stronger and they pulled him underground and the hole closed. Fae flew down to Starbolt.

 

Starbolt saw the pony taken by the earth. She knew it was Fae obviously from the nature magic she favors. She looked up and saw her flying to her. She then passed out.

 

Fae landed next to Starbolt and cast an invisibility spell hoping they wouldn't be noticed by anymore of

Ice Star's assassins.

Blaze had hopped on the back of the dragon, he was a bit apprehensive at first but trusted Daeva and her beast. They had been flying for 11 hours when he noticed Daeva looked a little pale. It was then that he realized that keeping this large dragon summoned was probably sapping an immense amount of Demon Energy. "Daeva... You all right?" Blaze asked, but already knowing the answer to his question.

 

((Edit, changed 3 hours to 11 hours, it seems more accurate, and we would be closer.))

"What do we do, sir?" One of the assassins say.

 

"Retreat, we don't need any casualties. We already got the damn detective." The assassin started to sniff around.

 

"But..."

 

"We are not here to play hero, just to obtain one of the ponies and go. We got the leader. We're leaving" The assassin horn glowed as a mist appeared around. Slowly, the mist dissolve and the ponies were gone.

Quickly was buffeted by his second explosion in 3 days. He looked inside in time to see Starbolt being flung across the room, and to hear Carrick's order. "But what about-" he began. Then Carrick disappeared into a flash of light, and a group of assassins jumped in. They began trying to eliminate Starbolt. Over. My. Dead. Body. I won't fail again, he thought, snapping out his wings. He heard them start chattering, and thennthey all resolved into mist, "What the... Ugh, Starbolt, become visible please. I need to be able to see you to pick you up and fly in search of Blaze."

Thunder had also been on the Dragon the whole time and noticed Blaze asking Daeva if she was all right. "You do look kind of pale," he said when he saw her. "Maybe we should land this thing," he said.

Fae heard the request of Quick and stopped channeling the invisibility spell. She was exhausted too, and at the sight of Quick passed out from exhaustion.

 

(OOC Sleeping and fixing my laptop. Brb in 8 hours. Good thing I have an excuse to let me afk a bit from the RP.)

He caught Fae, and slung Starbolt over his shoulder. "Comeon Hypno. We've got a Pheonix to catch. Gather up everypony and let's get moving," he says, going to wait by the door. Icestar or the white pony? Which is responsible for this? he wondered, looking at the blast area.

She saw Blaze looking at him, her vision wasn't quite clear after keeping the dragon summoned for that long..

 

"I.. I'm not okay.. Jump off the dragon.. Now.." she said with a very weak tone, Blaze and her jumped off and carefully hovered back down as Daeva commanded the dragon to go back to his home.

 

The dragon followed her command and flew straight down as fast as a meteor and into the earth, causing a huge crater and a giant hole in the middle.

 

The energy that was keeping the dragon alive came back to her, though a little bit of power was consumed during the process she was feeling a lot more alive and better.

 

"That's better, let's just travel the rest of the way using our wings. We shouldn't be that far from Fillydelphia now.." she said as she launched up into the skies with Blaze.

Blaze pulled out his sextant and latitude and longitude map. He looked through the device's telescope, lining it with the horizon and the sun. He got a number from the sextant and looked at the map. Indeed they were only about 150 miles away from their destination. He put away the sextant and map. "We are about 150 miles out from filly. It shouldn't take use more than a couple of hours to reach it if we go at top speed." Blaze said.

"Sure, let's go.." she replied Blaze as she flapped her wings and flew in the direction of Fillydelphia as fast as she can.

 

"I have a bad feeling about going to Fillydelphia.." she said as her hooves started shaking.

Blaze looked over at Daeva shaking, "It will be alright I promise. Carrick and the others can handle themselves pretty well. I mean, they have a immortal vampire, a crazy talented mage, and (if Quick went with them, which I believe he did) a nighthunter. They will be fine" Blaze said reassuring Daeva.

Clocks sighed "That was a perfectly good plan and it was soiled with that event... I'll get them back..." He mumbled as he and Aces got up.

 

Hypno looked at Quick and nodded. He then turned to Aces and Clocks, who were already ready. He walked over to Snow next. "You ready to go?" He asked her softly.

Snow saw what had unfolded. That wasn't anything she could do. Just stare at the event that transpire. She didn't want to think of it. Just taking Carrick and leaving, that sounded just like him. She closed her eyes and nodded, "I'll go where you go, Hypno." Snow said.

Hypno nodded with a smile. He then looked up and over to Quick "I think everyone is ready, but someones gonna have to carry Star" He said.

 

"Aces needs to burn some of his mussel off, he can do it" Clocks chimed in.

"Great. Now we need to go to the outskirts of town. I have a feeling Blaze, Deava, and Thunder haven't made it here yet. If I'm right, then we should be able to. Signal them using some of the seafaring signals his dad taught me before he set me on Alicorn Island. We'll need them to rescue Carrick. And Hypno, you really, really need some cologn man. You smell like a blood pack," he says, striding quickly out the door.
