Starbolt was fully rested. She stood up and went to Quickly. "I'm ready for more training." Starbolt told him.

Fae continued flying around the mansion. She turned around a corner and bumped into Blaze's aunt.

"Good, time to get ready for sprints again. Except this time, in order to save time, you and I will be running around the mansion. When we do this, I want you to conserve your energy so we can actually make it around the mansion, alright?"

"Good..." Hypno said simply.

Midnight took a sip of his drink, then slammed it down "My guess is we don' have to do nuttin yet, so imma party for a bit" He said rather loudly.

"Me and Clocks will be looking for the rest of the group then..."

Thunder took another shot and stood up. "I'm definitely going to regret this," he slurred as he trotted out the door and started stumbling around in the city. After a few minutes he took to the skies and started shakily flying around before crashing into the castle gardens and passing out.

Starbolt gave Quickly a determined look. "Alright, let's give this a go." She told him. Starbolt knew she couldn't go to fast in this, she had to pace herself if she wanted to do this.

Midnight looked at Hypno with a laugh "Yall even gotta group too?" He asked as he got up. He took a final sip of his drink and placed it down. "Actually, i'll help you find them i guess.... Hey! you two! Come with me." he said pointing to two bat ponies. They got up and followed him

 

"Suit yourself" Hypno said as the 5 left the bar and then climbed out of the sewer seemingly unseen.

After Daeva heard that his friends are in danger she wondered who it was.. "Do you mean I am in danger?" she said with a confused look on her face.

 

"Is it because that pony threatened us a few days ago?" she asked.

Blood walked around the tower nonchalantly, with nothing to do yet. Hoping that the action would start soon like the pony had said. "So in literal seconds, how long till we go?" He asked impatiently.

 

Aces was at Hypno's mansion, guarding Snow and staying close to the door looking quite bored.

 

Hypno, Clocks, Midnight, and his two friends looked around, unsure of where to go. Hypno tilted his head up and sniffed the air for a few seconds. "Seems like they're here..." He said as he started off into the direction his nose pointed him.

"Well I am not going to pretend that we are safe, but it is not us that I am worried about, Carrick is in danger and it is up to me to try to figure out what to do next, and I have not figured out very much at all" Blaze said.

"Alright, lets move then," he says, starting the jog. Lets hope she can keep up, I've never seen a pony so outragously smart with so little exersise. Doesn't she know exersise tends to help her general apeal to guys? Seriously, plus jogging gives them a good... time to stop thinking, this line of reasioning leads straight to Wings.

A letter appeared on top of Starbolt. For some reason, the letter can only seen by her. It read:

 

Dear Starbolt,

 

If you want to see Carrick Murphy again, please met me in the center of Canterlot. Do not bring any other pony, but yourself. If anypony is seen that is in the group. You won't see Carrick ever again.

The letter wasn't signed, it was unknown who wrote this. It could of be Corpus or maybe it was somepony else...

Starbolt stopped in mid jog. She opened the strange letter, it was obviously magical. She read it. The letter disappeared as she finished. Starbolt stopped and stood there. She was tempted to tell Quickly but she decided she couldn't risk it. "Sorry Quick." She mumbled as she jogged behind him. As they turned a corner she stopped and hopped that Quickly wouldn't notice that she stopped.

She went to the road and saw Fae in the bushes foraging for herbs. She had an idea. "Fae, shadow me and stay invisible." She whispered to her.

Fae disappeared from sight and flew several meters behind Starbolt.

Starbolt arrived at the center of Canterlot. She knew this could be a trap but she didn't care, she wanted Carrick back. She stood there waiting for something to happen.

Fae hovered maybe twenty meters away. She kept her invisibility spell up wondering why Starbolt wanted her to follow.

Hypno continued to follow the trail he smelled around Canterlot. Hypno could feel that they were getting close to the source of the smell.

 

Midnight looked around, he hadn't been outside for quite some time. So his expression was one of a filly in a candy store.

A hooded pony appear in front of Starbolt. He was unknown if the pony was Corpus or any of the ponies they have meet in their journey. He spoke with a soft tone, "So, it's you. I'm surprised you went and did this." The pony said as he looked left and right. He check if there was any other ponies that were looking.

"Where, is Carrick?!" She said with a tone of contempt. "You better let him go!" She threatened the hooded pony.

 

Fae watched from the distance. She saw the hooded pony and knew that Starbolt was in trouble.

"Now, now. We can't just give you Carrick Murphy. Things aren't that easy, I'm not just here to give you Carrick. I'm here to ask you something. How far are risking to get Carrick Murphy?" He asked Starbolt.

Hypno walked further until a rather large mansion came into view for the group. He examined it from afar for a few moments.

"Dat da place?" Clocks asked looking to Hypno.

"Believe so, hopefully we can get in touch with the group again this time." Hypno explained as he walked up to the door and knocked.

 

Whoever was going to open the door was going to find it weird to find a pony with odd eyes, a mobster pony, and a Bat pagasai with a eye patch and two others waiting at their doorstep.

"How far? I'll go to the ends of Equestria if I have to." She replied. "So, why are you here then?" She said impatiently. Starbolt studied the area around her fearing an ambush.

 

Fae was unsure how to proceed, should she attack? She decided to stay put and watch.

"I'm just wondering how far are you risking to get Carrick Murphy." He said with a smile. The pony touched the shoulder of Starbolt. "Would you like to see him right now?" It was hard to tell if he was telling the truth or not. Was she really risking everything to save Carrick?

"Yes...." She replied after a few moments on deciding whether or not to take his offer. "Where is he?" She asked the hooded pony.

 

Fae saw what was happening. She was sure Starbolt was in trouble she looked around for any other hooded ponies.

His horn glowed as they disappeared without a trace. Slowly they teleported back into the tower in Fillydelphia. They were in that room where no pony can come in and out, a pony was there laid on the ground. Murphy was still breathing but was asleep. His body battered and beaten. Lacerations everywhere on his face. He thinking of better times...

Fae watched Starbolt disappear. She flew at max speed towards Blaze's mansion. She knew this was not good.

 

Starbolt saw Carrick and ran towards him. "Carrick!" Starbolt yelled as she ran next to Carrick and embraced him.

He felt an embrace of somepony. He remembered that soft fur anywhere, was he still dreaming? His eyes slowly opened up as he saw Starbolt on him. "Starbolt? Is that you?" He asked. Carrick was a bit confused with the situation. Is Starbolt going to save him? No, no. He felt something was wrong here. He looked past Starbolt to see nopony here. What?

"I'm here Carrick." She said tearing as she hugged him. "Are you alright? What did they do to you?" She asked him worried about his injuries.

 

Fae flew to Blaze's study and threw the door open with her telekinesis.

"They seem to think I'm some sort of pony punching bag" He joked, his will and composure still held on. Though he has been here for too long, he hasn't even remember when the last time he saw Starbolt's face. He hugged her back. He could tell she was Starbolt, not some sort of illusion or trick by that pony.

 

"How did you get here, is everypony here?" He asked.
