I've been a huge Worms fan since the very first game, but I thought the 3D games were too awkward to play. It should always be 2D

 

I've recently reinstalled Worms 2 to my PC, but it just seems a bit clunky, so I'll see if I can get Armageddon instead and hopefully have a battle with some people.

Worms were one of the best games to play with my brothers. I have 3 brothers, so it was perfect, because there weren´t much of games you could play in 3+ people.

Worms series are awesome, really.

i got Worms Armageddon for the PSX when i was a wee lad, after playing a demo-version of it i had on a disc, and i was hooked. that, and Hogs of War, are my favorite strategy turn-based games of all time. everyone should play those games. EVERYONE.

 

also, i actually like the 3D Worms-games, despite a number of fans berating the games. imo, they are wonderful little games with varied levels and settings, an actual decent campaign (campaigns in 2D has never been any fun in Worms, imo), cool unlockable shit, and as always in the Worms series, FANTASTIC fucking soundtracking. seriously, the music in Worms is some of the best you'll ever come across.

 

which is a shame that the Worms game for the PSP and DS has more or less killed the game with bland levels, worse campaign than fucking Worms Armageddon and Worms World Party (how the hell can you succeed doing that?), bland unlockable shit, and a soundtrack that's so utterly uninspired i can't believe it's the soundtrack for a WORMS game.

 

the PC version of Worms Armageddon when i got it was better in every way, as well: extra weapons, extra songs (played in a randomized order and not in the queued order like on the PSX version, yay!), and some cool environmental effects. only problem i have with it though is that it worked like shit on our Win 98 system. maybe it'll be better on this XP system... hopefully with the music intact. (a Worms game is nothing without a brilliant soundtrack, imo)

I like worms very much (I played worms world party on PS1). I enjoyed playing it with my brothres, but I could also enjoy it alone against AI or jsut do some fun like destroying the whole land and build some buildings form girders

Oh and did anypony play Hedgewars on PC? It is based on worms (propably on W. armagedon), but it is free and multiplatform . I would like to try multiplayer in Hedgewars, but none of my friends plays it so I cannot try it...

Omg, this game was my childhood, I use to think I was so badass playing a G8+ game when I was 7. Worms World Party for the ps1 was pretty much all I'd play as a kid, I only picked it up again when i was about 13 when I got worms open warfare, It was alright but nowhere near as good as world party

Worms is my favorite Video Game Series off all time, even though i still havent played all of them. So far i have played Worms 1, Pinball, Armageddon, World Party, Blast, 3D, Forts : Under Siege, Worms 4 Mayhem, Open Warfare and Open Warfare 2.

I even played all of them to completion, except for Pinball, since its more or less based on luck, so i didnt really had the motivation to torture myself for weeks, just in order to get a high score, in an old game, where nobody would care about, if you got a highscore anyway. Also i dont think it would do anything if you get a highscore, because i got first place one time and nothing happened. But in all other games i got a gold medal everywhere.
