He thinks the mane6 characters are bland. 3. He says Sonic is much better than Rainbow Dash. 4. He thinks its not funny or humorous. 5. He thinks the plot is poorly written. 6. He thinks none of the ponies are cute or adorable. 7. He prefers Sonic and Kirby over ponies. Tell me what you think about this. Which is a valid reason when all they see while surfing the internet is ponies everywhere and then having bronies jump on their backs relentlessly trying to get them to watch the show. However, if someone isn't hassled by bronies and just hates the show because of what they see and because others near them are hating it, then that's dumb. Other times, people hate the show because they feel the show is overrated and not deserving of the hype and praise it gets. Which is like their opinion man. No need to convert them or sway their opinion. In fact, I respect people more who just don't think the show is up to their liking than those who hate on it just because of bronies. That's a stupid way to base your opinions on something, how the fans act. Just let them do their thing over there while we're over here having fun doing what we like. This guy even took the time to watch both seasons... honestly, I don't think it's hate. He just doesn't like the show. He hates the villians because he said they are "stupid".That was actually one of my biggest complaints about the show - the lack of a good villain. Nightmare Moon and her plan were seriously underdeveloped. Discord just foolishly stood there and literally watched the Mane Six shoop-da-whooping him. Chrysalis was incredible (come on, it is Kerrigan, one of the greatest villains out there), but her defeat was, truly, "stupid".I think he wants this show to have a villain like Mephiles. What he needs to understand is, even with those epic two-parters, MLP pretty much is a domestic show. It just does not need a villain. 2. He thinks the mane6 characters are bland.That's because they don't evolve. Their personalities are developed greatly, but none of the Mane Six actually evolved during the show. But, neither did any Sonic character, actually. Except for Tails in Sonic Adventure. 3. He says Sonic is much better than Rainbow Dash.Maybe because Sonic does what he wants and has no "join the Wonderbolts" dream. Apart from that, IMHO, they're equally awesome. Maybe he doesn't like leading characters being female. 4. He thinks its not funny or humorous.I can't argue over one's sense of humour. 5. He thinks the plot is poorly written.Even with all of MLP's revolutionary ideas and great stories, it still has the idea of "We need to teach young kids things". Sonic does not have that. If his games can come up with any crazy plot with little to no morale, MLP has to simplify its plot and fit a morale in ~20 minutes episodes, for kids. If you want a truly great saga, don't search for it in MLP. 6. He thinks none of the ponies are cute or adorable.Neither do I. Can't say a lot about it, sorry. 7. He prefers Sonic and Kirby over ponies.I blame it on that these things are games, not shows. They have gameplay.If the gameplay is not the issue, I don't know what is. Maybe the setting. But Kirby isn't all that different from MLP, if talking about the setting. Overall, I say tolerate it. No need to force him to love it. Stop persuading someone when they've seen the show for themselves and have the knowledge to form their opinion. They are informed and not ignorant on the subject, so accept their opinion that they just don't like MLP. He thinks the plot is poorly written. Look, I can get that he doesn't like the show, but seriously? Is he comparing it to Sonic?. I mean does sonic even have a plot? I thought sonic's story line was "go right". Dr. Eggman is about as bad a villain as team rocket. If asked today, I could not tell you what kind of personality Sonic has. Talk about bland lol. It's cool that he doesn't like it, but it's very annoying when the "reasons" are faults that are shared with other things he likes.
