Amazon Referral Usage

Okay, I know that there are reference links to use for the Amazon sites that you get a small bit from if we purchase something from there using said links.

 

But I don't shop from Amazon, in fact rarely do I do any shopping online. But when I do, I go to ebay.

 

My question? Do you have links for ebay that can do the same thing? I wouldn't mind going out of my way to hit the referral link to help out in any way.

 

Also, and this is just me being curious, how does that link referral thing for Amazon actually work here? Clickable counters? Tagged entrance? Pegasi Magic?

My guess is that amazon's home page gathers information from it's visiters like where the visiter came from.

Well, the whole way it works is because it uses skimlinks...I think... http://skimlinks.com/home

 

And I'm fairly certain they don't work with ebay/

Those links (and links to about 18,000 other sites) are monetized via SkimLinks.

 

Those Amazon links don't appear to be any different from just typing amazon.com at first; but if you right-click the link and copy its destination address, you'll see that it actually runs through go.mlpforums.com. A cookie is dropped on your computer at that point which tracks that you came to Amazon from MLP Forums; thus, they know who to pay out a commission to for whatever you buy.

Awesome, I'll use this whenever I go to ebay from now on. Is there a chance of seeing this go along the Amazon links for easy access to everyone else? It'd be easier for myself to go through that, plus everyone else can be well informed of it as well!
