So, I was looking through different ponies and I found one named " Bubblecup" She's from G2 I think, doesn't she resemble derpy?

Is this a prediction or a discovery? Either way, you have made a monumental addition to the splendid age-long search for Derpy's TRUE talent. The bubbles must be symbolic for galactic overlord, but my colleagues think otherwise.

Edit: I'm not the only one who noticed the female symbol created from the bottom bubble and a sparkle, right? Subliminal message, much?

there is one peice of evedence you are missing does that pony ever have crossed eyes in the G2 show also i belive there is a more acurate derpy look alike in G1

This is definitely not a G2, a G3 maybe but not G2. G2 ponies have a very different design from the rest of the series.

 

Anyway, nice discovery. I've always liked the idea that Derpy's talent is blowing bubbles.

Derpy is definitely female. She has the mare body style and both of her voices are definitely feminine.

I'm pretty sure that in this case, it her color scheme and cutie mark are just a slight reference through the generations, like a lot of other ponies.

Derpy isn't slow anything. SHE is just really ditzy and accident prone, which is made worse thanks to her eyes.

 

 

OT: I could see where the idea of Derpy could come from that pony. Just add the mistake of her derp eyes and you got an old-fashioned Derpy.

I thank you very much for the complement, but I have to admit that I wrote that myself and attributed it to Nostradamus. Those four lines took me nearly an hour to write. I did try hard to make them sound like something he would have written, so thank you again! You should have seen me agonizing over whether to use pianos, before finally deciding he would have wrote harpsichords!
