Hypothetical Mane Six Siblings

It's a different dimension. Lauren and her succeeding minions have chosen to give a sibling to one of the other Mane 6 that isn't Twilight Sparkle. Ignoring the obvious changes and complications it would have for everyone's favorite wedding episodes, if one of the other Mane 6 were to have a sibling suddenly be introduced, much like how Shining Armor was with Twilight, which pony would it be, and what would the sibling be like?

 

For me personally, the thought of Rainbow Dash having an older brother appeals to me, as a head-canon concept. She's a loose cannon most of the time; she's competitive, brash and can have an inflated ego. Ergo, I can imagine her having an older, more mature, cool cucumber of a brother who tries to keep her in check, attempting to keep her on as short a leash as possible best he can when he's around, to various levels of success. All for her best interests of course, to make sure she doesn't overdo anything, or accidentally hurt herself. I can also completely see her getting flustered and embarrassed at any and all affection or talking to's he attempts, as she thinks she's 'far too cool' to be seen being hugged or scolded in public

 

Eh, just seems like it'd be an interesting relationship.

 

How bout ya'll? Can be any of the mane 6, even those who already have a younger or older sibling. Just brainstorming and discussing, here ^^ Being a hypothetical version of the show, each of the mane 6 don't 'have' to still have the siblings they have in the real show.

Applejack probably would have an older brother who's stoic and doesn't speak much. He's just a down-to-earth, hard working stallion and can calm Applejack when she's stubborn.

 

Also AJ would have a younger sister who's always trying to start adventures and discovering new things because she's youthful and curious.

 

Okay for a real answer, I made Fluttershy a younger brother that's much more brave and daredevilish than Fluttershy ever was. Because he's brave, he's willing to protect Fluttershy and be extra brave for her.

How about Rainbow Dash's older brother Electra Glide. A blue maned Pegasus that is a member of the Cloudsdale traffic patrol. EG and RD are always at odds, because he's such a stickler for rules. He once ticketed his own sister for flying too fast through a residential cloud bank. Rainbow almost went to the Cloudsdale Hoosegow for non-payment, until unbeknownst to her, Electra paid her fine with the bits he had saved for a new helmet equipped with blinking red and blue lights, and a siren. A little birdie later told Rainbow what happened (Literally...Fluttershy translated) Feeling guilty RD bought her brother a new helmet for his birthday with the bits she was saving to buy a rare autographed first addition of "Daring Do and the Quest for the Sapphire Stone".

Somepony who's very strong willed, means well, but is a bit of a jerk. A good contrast to Fluttershy while keeping the same principle of Fluttershy. A caring pony who does whatever it takes to help the down trodden, even if it means using unorthodox means.

For some reason, Pound Cake being RD's younger brother comes to mind, I think that would be very interesting actually, if there was a new episode where RD had a new younger brother/sister and she tried to make them the best fliers.

I see a lot of people want Rainbow Dash to have a younger sibling and I see that being a episode. It would even work well to be a Scottaloo episode. RD sibling comes to town and RD hangs out with him/her more then Scttaloo. So she starts training hard to do better then the sibling and they have a race. They get in trouble and become friends.

 

This is what the episode could be about, but I don't want to see anymore younger siblings. I feel like there are to many of those kinds of charters in this show. For me I would want RD to have an older brother, like Twilight. He would be RD opposite in every way. RD may also not care for him to much.

Indeed. If you read my first post, it says 'in another dimension'. A hypothetical dimension, where the show was different. The characters don't need to have the siblings they have now, in this reality.

Derpy is Rainbow Dash's sister.

 

Fluttershy finds a baby pony abandoned in the woods. Adopts him/her.

 

Twilight Sparkle's spell goes haywire and she ends up with a younger clone of herself.

 

Applejack's mother and father arrive from their neverending vacation to drop off a new baby sibling, then take off again.

I just read the topic title and older RD brother came to my mind, too.

RinbowBlitz, a cool pegasus, chased by mares and running before them because he hates the noise and they make plenty of it when they see him. The mares are sister blocked by RD, anyway... He´s always keeping it cool and calm, never hits the roof. Like RD, he´s very confident and athletic. He´s also competitive, but never shows off his excitement... he´s often bored, annoyed and lax.

I always thought about "The Next Generation Mane Six".

like, the siblings and sort of admirers/cousin/wannabe siblings of the mane 6 would grow up to be the next six, like for example:

Applebloom is Applejack and Scootaloo is Rainbow Dash, Sweetie Belle is Rarity, I would go on if I wanted to.

But, that was always my outlook on stuff like this.

TWO Pinky pies? Ouch -- surviving that onslaught would be rough. Actually what would be funnier would be a my little pony rendition of the star trek episode where Mudd ended up with 500 androids of his wife. Twilight walks out of her house and here comes pinky pie -- then another pinky pie and another -- she retreats into her house and out pops another one with a badge saying 500.

 

At any rate -- Pinky Pie needs a straight man for sibling... Plus we saw that she broke away from her humdrum family and did their first ever party. To have lightning strike twice would be ....
