Friendship in what context -- at what scale? Or for that matter, in what dimensions? I've seen bronies want to build a community around friendship thinking that'll result in harmony and I've witnessed them try and fail again and again. For such a model to deliver -- and this is just in theory -- every individual in said community must be good friends with everyone else and we know that it is virtually impossible in the real world. At the end of the day, friendship is about individual relationships. Concerns that face whole communities fall outside of the scope of the show's message. I've really come to like G3, but I don't know that I would say that it excels G4 (IMO, I didn't grow up with MLP) except for in the toys department. G3 definitely had better toys. Not even the guilty pleasure kind of liking, I genuinely love them. -I like the Prequel Star Wars better than the original trilogy. -I think H.P. Lovecraft needed a good right hook to the face and some Disney movies or MLP! -I think James Cameron's Dances with Smurfs was one of the worst times I had at the movies. (I liked The Last Airbender more than it!
