Least Favourite Episodes of Each Season (out of 10)

Season 1:

5. The Ticket Master - 6

4. Bridle Gossip - 6

3. Boast Busters - 6

2. Owl's Well That Ends Well - 5

1. Griffon The Brush Off - 5

Note that I don't think any episode of the show is bad, it's just some are more flawed in their execution. The Ticket Master is an example of an average episode.

Season 2:

5. Baby Cakes - 7

4. Hearts And Hooves Day - 6

3. The Cutie Pox - 6

2. The Mysterious Mare Do-Well - 6

1. Dragon Quest - 5

Frighteningly enough, The Cutie Pox is interesting and full of memorable moments and Baby Cakes is a great episode. Anything not listed here is even better. Don't really understand all the aversion towards The Mysterious Mare Do-Well other than its botched moral.

Season 3:

2. One Bad Apple - 5

1. Spike At Your Service - 5

No comment here.

Season 4:

5. Inspiration Manifestation (I'm sorry...) - 7

4. Power Ponies - 7

3. Three's A Crowd - 6

2. Somepony To Watch Over Me - 6

1. Simple Ways - 6

Personally, Rainbow Falls just beats out Inspiration Manifestation in terms of quality for me.

Best Episodes For Each Season

Note that everything listed below is a gem in animated television today, particularly the top 5.

Season 1:

10. Fall Weather Friends - 9

9. Applebuck Season - 9

8. Friendship Is Magic, Part 1 (Mare In The Moon) - 9

7. Dragonshy - 9

6. The Cutie Mark Chronicles - 10

5. Green Isn't Your Colour - 10

4. The Best Night Ever - 10

3. Suited For Success - 10

2. Party Of One - 11

1. Sonic Rainboom - 11

Note, I think that the first half of the Friendship Is Magic two-parter is way better than the second and Fall Weather Friends is severely underrated.

Season 2:

10. A Canterlot Wedding - Part 2 - 9

9. Sisterhooves Social - 10

8. Lesson Zero - 10 (Once again, don't kill me...)

7. Luna Eclipsed - 10

6. The Return Of Harmony - Part 1 - 10

5. A Canterlot Wedding - Part 2 - 10

4. It's About Time - 10

3. Sweet And Elite - 10

2. The Return Of Harmony - Part 2 - 11

1. Hurricane Fluttershy - 11

This is when the show really hit its stride.

Season 3:

5. The Crystal Empire - Part 1 - 9

4. Magical Mystery Cure - 10

3. The Crystal Empire - Part 2 - 10

2. Wonderbolts Academy - 10

1. Sleepless In Ponyville - 11

The first half of The Crystal Empire edges out Magic Duel here.

Season 4:

10. Princess Twilight Sparkle - Part 1 - 10

9. Princess Twilight Sparkle - Part 2 - 10

8. Pinkie Apple Pie - 10

7. For Whom The Sweetie Belle Belle Toils - 10

6. Flight To The Finish - 10

5. Rarity Takes Manehattan - 10

4. Testing Testing 1, 2, 3 - 11

3. Twilight's Kingdom - Part 1 -11

2. Pinkie Pride - 11

1. Twilight's Kingdom - Part 2 - 11

Season 4 is ridiculous. I wish how I could somehow squeeze in Maud Pie, Filli Vanilli, Bats! and Castle Mane-ia and call it the Top 10. Pinkie Apple Pie is probably the funniest thing I've ever watched and I have a real penchant for Testing Testing 1, 2, 3.

Gaming Related.

Halo series isn't that good.

Valve is overrated

DotA 2 = LoL = Smite. Please, can we get on with this. I want the crossover game of these 3.

Before PCMR came to my radar. PC=PS=XBox, After, PC<PS4=XBox. Seriously, the amount of fanboys is incredibly infuriating.

On Topic Post 2:

Over 98% (rough estimate. I'm bad at the maths) of the cast of FIM is either cute or adorable in my eyes, regardless of their actually intended personality.

The not cute or adorable 2% includes Discord, Snips and Snails (I don't care if they're colt age!), and a few others that I might have forgotten to mention. -_-

You Know I feel the opposite. About 2% of the cast is either cute or adorable in my eyes. Most things people find cute about characters, I just think is normal or annoying.

Cheria (right) is a small town girl who was afflicted with a terrible sickness when she was very young. Meeting Sophie changed that however. She recovered almost instantly from her illness due to Sophie's magic and gained an undeniable talent with her own, and what does she do with this magic? She acts as a healer for her small town and helps the militia keep the hostile border safe. Seven years later, she's started a nation-wide relief organization after her adventure with Sophie and Friends, a great connection to the element of generosity.

I respect that viewpoint, and can see why you'd feel that way.

My love (and even bias towards) animals probably led to the unusual amount of equines (and some exceptions, species-wise ) in the cartoon being cute to me, just because they're highly intelligent, talking animals.

I like the English intro for FiM more than the Italian/Japanese versions.

Gotta run!

Also, I really hate the "It's supposed to be like that!" excuse to defend bad stuff. Just because it's supposed to be bad does not change ANYTHING.

I am absolutely, 100% uninterested in the 100th episode with all the background ponies. It doesn't really serve any purpose at all other than to be an extremely unsubtle fanservice episode to the Brony fandom and thus I feel it will ultimately be one that I am uninterested in and will have no major impact on anything other than being a generic slice of life episode with characters I don't really care about, to put it bluntly. While not every episode is going to contribute greatly to the overall story at hand, many of them show exposition to characters important to the story and allow you to build opinions and feel closer to them. Slice of Life episodes such as "Sweet & Elite" and "Party of One" are just as important, if not more important, to the quality of the show than the ones that have great significance to an overlapping story such as "The Ticket Master" and "Pinkie Pride." They allow us to understand the characters better. They allow us to get a feel of who they are and what they are all about, and a well-developed main cast is just as important to the quality of a show as the storyline and basis of the show are.

This episode doesn't do anything of that sort. It has no meaning in the slightest other than to be extremely blatant fanservice, and I don't like that. These characters, in all likelihood, won't be coming back to star in a mane 6-less episode again. They won't get much more canon development than this. They won't do anything other than sit there for 22 minutes and provide nothing of note before going back to filling space up in the background. The only really good thing that can come out of this episode for the quality of the show is it gives the writers more reason to focus on the story at hand than thinking up ways to do callouts to the brony fandom, thus cutting down fanservice in the episodes surrounding it in S5 significantly. However, if that is actually going to happen or not is anyone's guess, so it's possible that the only good thing that can come out of this episode is something worth nothing, that being a warm and fuzzy feeling of acknowledgement felt by this fandom. I'm sorry if I sound rude, but I don't think that's going to help make this a good show. I think fanservice such as this should be kept to a minimum and put in the background while the main focus remains on the mane cast and general storyline.

I also predict that even if it is of terrible quality, people in this fandom are going to go head over heels for it because of how it is a massive callout, barring they butcher the fanon personalities of the background ponies. I'm getting the feeling that it can be a dull, meaningless, poorly executed episode and people aren't going to care about any of that just because of the meaning of the episode itself, which was nothing more than being 22 minutes of fanservice. Because of this, I feel this is evidence of the show's decline. Season 4 saw the smallest amount of growth in the fandom ever by a wide margin according to a poll Equestria Daily performed, thus meaning it'd be a reasonable assumption that the hype surrounding the show has died down and the popularity peaked during S3. The combination of a pure fanservice episode to the fandom as well as a stunted growth during the last season indicates to me that the writers are becoming desperate and I find that to be a saddening thought, because I for one love this show and enjoy it immensely.

I just feel this to be an unnecessarily blunt and over-the-top amount of fanservice that, at best, will do little to improve the quality of the show and at worst send the fandom into a total outrage due to the canon destroying the fanon they had grown to love. I don't see anything worthwhile coming out of this, quite frankly, and I feel it will end up just being a waste of time and I'm still on the fence if I am even going to watch it or not.

My thoughts exactly.

Air Man is NOT HARD AT ALL. He was one of the easiest bosses in the series. Elec Man is the true awful boss.

Snow Villiers was a badass, and a cool member of the Final Fantasy XIII main cast. It sucks that he (and everyone else, except Lightning, cough, cough!) wasn't playable during the end of the trilogy. His role and actions in Lighting Returns actually increased my already high respect for the dude.

@ Villiers haters: Come at me! It'l just end up with me unscathed from your petty rage!  *Steelguards*

The video game industry is NOT as good as it used to be, at least from an overall standpoint. Companies seem to only want to make games for the here and now, and not have them be complete packages that last. Luckily, Nintendo doesn't have this problem. But they do have OTHER issues.

Saying "it's my opinion" does not automatically mean you're exempt from critcism. As such, not all opinions have to be respected unbiased.

You want another unpopular opinion out of me?

I absolutely DESPISE labeling ANY of the mane six as worst pony, or even 99.99% of the background ponies for that matter. Do NOT come to me and start saying how bad and disloyal Rainbow is, or how awful and annoying Pinkie Pie is, cause its not worth your breath or my time. If you refuse to look at the positive aspects of a pony and exaggerate their flaws to the point of calling them irredeemable and unforgivable, then that just makes me question your world view and ability to reason effectively. To label someone as worst pony tells me you blanket judge people as well, ignoring their good qualities in favor of the image you have of them in your mind. Would you want someone to so completely condemn you for something YOU did? Would you feel someone parading around your worst moments as a means of labeling you as the WORST HUMAN to be fair and right?

If no, then Why the hell are you doing it to a cartoon pastel pony who literally did nothing nor COULD do anything against you?

As far as I'm concerned, If you hate a character that much don't even bother watching the show.

Digibro got better after he became/started acting like a stoner.

I don't hate any episode of MLP. No episode has ever pissed me off or anything. While there are some that I think are bad or terrible even, I have no strong feelings against them.

Alicorn Twilight was a good thing.

I don't care much for The Return of Harmony

Gilda is fine. She's a solid character, stop hating her kids!

Fluttershy's episodes are not the same or redundant.

Edit: just realized this wasn't the pony section! Here's some other things:

I do not support minimum wage and think it should be abolished.

I support the legalization of all illegal drugs.

I think public schooling should be replaced with a voucher system for private schools.

I think the police and firefighting industries should be privatized.

I think welfare programs should gradually be done away with and replaced with a negative income tax.

The reason I started liking Rainbow Dash was actually because people started hating her. They said she was disloyal, so I posted many moments of her being loyal. (That means I had to pay attention to Rainbow's character.) So I grew to like her more. I actually think people who hate a certain pony of the Mane Six just ignore them and never see them grow in my opinion.

Now my unpopular opinions:

  • Generation 1 is great
  • Sports are boring
  • I like the color pink (unpopular opinion for men.)
  • I actually support taxes as long as they are reasonable
  • I think Sonic Rainboom was terrible
  • I actually like Dragon Quest (Though not a favorite of mine.)
  • I don't like Dragon Ball or anything related to that. (Though I did like the battle between Twilight and Tirek)
  • I think Applejack is a lesbian.
  • I DON'T think Rainbow Dash is one. (She isn't, and I wish that wasn't so popular.)
  • Speaking of those two, I don't ship AppleDash. (Not because I think Rainbow is straight. In fact, I still ship Flutterdash)
  • I think McDonald's is nasty.
  • I don't care much for Maud. (I didn't care for Raven either in Teen Titans)
  • I don't like war based stuff.
  • I actually like Ramen. (I don't get it because it's cheap. I get it because I like it.)
  • I don't like Trixie. (there's confidence. Then there's cocky. I need an entire paragraph to explain this one.)

I like Rainbow Dash in the fact that she's a great character. Sure, she may be cocky, but she does care about her friends. Also, she does prove to be awesome. Rainbow may let things go to her head, but usually, she isn't the type of pony who would claim that she can do stuff that she doesn't believe she can. She also wouldn't lie (I don't think) to get others to like her. We know Rainbow can preform the Sonic Rainboom. We know that she's a very highly talented flier. Trixie is different, though. Most bronies seem to think Trixie IS a great pony. Sure, she does have a higher than average level of unicorn magic, but she isn't as great as she claims. I mean she lied about vanquishing an Ursa Major. I'm all for confidence, and the occasional cockiness, but Trixie didn't only believe that she was better than everyone at a certain thing, she believed she was better than everyone at everything. If you were to challenge Rainbow to a race, she would have full confidence that she would win. (She most likely will.) Though if you challenged her to a contest where you draw a picture, she may not have the same confidence. Trixie, though, is different. She will believe she can beat you in a race, beat you in a drawing contest, beat you at a push up contest, etc. If you are good at something, by all means, show it off. But saying you're better than everyone at everything is annoying. I dont' get why most bronies love her.

While this may make me seem like a soccer mum, I do agree we need to stop using the words 'idiot' too much. Yes, it's annoying to see this pointed out on tumblr so often, but I have friends who are really just not able to cope with studying due to health problems but are really good people. I'm not telling the general populace to stop using it, but the word could be used to dehumanise people with a naturally lower IQ. Really, you could just say something like 'Fox News are fools' or, if you want to be more harsh, 'Fox News is sh*t'. It will practically mean the same thing.

Next to Mulan, Cinderella is pretty much my favourite animated character. Why? Well, I currently live in a bad situation, and her ability to keep on living and dreaming really inspires me.

Britney Spears is actually very inspiring to me too, some of her songs are annoying but even professionals who have worked with her say that she always thinks of the basic concept for each song and video even if she doesn't write them directly, and that compared to some other pop artists she needs less Autotune. Also, if she can get through 2007, she must be quite the badass.

David Tennant the actor is a great, funny person who I would love to meet. David Tennant the Doctor is rubbish.

OH GOD DIGIBRO. I loved his stuff during S3 and between the S3-S4 hiatus. After that, it became very hard to listen to his stuff. He's like the M.Night Shymalan of the Analysis community.
