Welp, I just created my own wall of text, and this time it was around 3500 characters, about half of LE's and Alex's longest posts so far... I do believe I have kept within decent boundaries, but if not, meh... I REALLY don't want to redo that ~3500 character wall to make it better x_x But I feel this is rather good practice too, trying to find fitting words and such, along with working on long blocks of text But yeah, Electrobolt's reaction to what Jack Stache had done to Serah was basically my reaction

Hahah, thanks... To be honest, I was just going by how he would have felt, didn't realize that was exactly how you were planning it xP But yeah... When I saw Klopp post, well... I thought things would be screwed up with my current post and I'd have to fit it accordingly. Thankfully, he was mostly talking to Magenta, only once referencing what was going on, so I could continue with my current post :3 But yeah, wondering how the Artsy side - IF Klopp and Magenta, and potentially Jack get to her - will be...

Well, if the group is to be splitting off here, it would be best if we could nab a few others to head off with to give Artsy some comfort. Pretty sure she's not going to want to be around Fire and Ice any more, so we will probably end up going separate ways in the story for now. So things would be a little imbalanced if three of us were to go with Artsy, and the remaining 11 form a group off elsewhere. If two or three more peoples would head over with us (Preferably those who think Fire is a meany pants ), that would let the RP flow a bit better, I believe.

Seeing Emerald's post makes me really wish I played Earthbound now, I did try playing it a few years ago on a emulator but gave up early on because it was too hard

I like it when authors converse for a post, because it can make for some epic storyline if done right like Jack and Emerald did, bravo to both of you for coming up with all that.

I would except that I'm waiting for Scootacool to post and that my character is not really in a position to be running off any where at the moment. Same with Starry as she's lying in a bush nearby unconscious. And I've kinda stopped Numbers from reacting as well seeing as I landed on him and that happened before what Jack did.

Regarding the splitting of the group... first and foremost, the character's thought and decision making process should be taken into account. But I think it could work to have many of the ponies who were involved in the forest fight stick together, since a sort of comradery* was built during that experience. Whereas it makes sense for most of those who stayed behind during that time follow Artsy.

 

I don't remember the exact numbers** who stayed behind or went to the forest, so there might need to be more give-and-take than that. And it'd probably be helpful for each group to have at least one of the ponies who is familiar with the land, so neither group is stumbling around aimlessly or relying on plot convenience to take them where they need to be.

 

Just my thoughts on the matter. Feel free to disregard.

I've been saying this for ages, guys. And then Klopp says it and you all listen? How rude! ;~;

 

Anyways, I think Emerald's suggestion makes sense, really. It doesn't have to be entirely an even split. Just enough so that roleplayers in both groups can remain engaged. To expect Artsy to go back into the original group when she has been deeply offended and hurt is just unrealistic for the moment, and as Klopp has said, she will be keen on avoiding Serah and Ice Storm for quite some time. A split could also make the RP more dynamic and less people to keep track of for both groups! I didn't really plan any of this, but it could be fun.

 

We already have Magenta who knows things a little better for our group (probably), and I doubt Aureity's character, who is extremely timid, will go out of her way to follow the group of a scary light-blasting pony. So I guess that'll have to do for us.

 

(Also, yes, I did have fun with my post. Yay, I made it plot-relevant! This is a thread that I'll be following more in the future, hehe.)

Personally this is what I've been thinking. Although we had two late joiners to the RP they did get themselves involved in the argument a little so those two will have to base their decision purely off that and their own ideas with what they want to do with their character.

I realized that I had made her into the all-knowing character at the beginning... but her confidence and calmness was always meant to be a fraud. I think this direction change develops her into a very dynamic character. I figure with her relatively advanced knowledge of Equestria, she'll likely be able to lead her group to the Princesses; while at the same time, her ditziness and extreme dependence on others in times of danger will make her a primary comic relief source!

 

Also yes, she is afraid of Zombieponymatrix. Very afraid, indeed... Also bugs. She hates bugs. And probably a great many more things.

No, it's showing up as text for me too. Only this for this post though, and it's working in my quote so you must have disabled smilies for that post. That's it, you figured it out for me! There's a glitch in the "enable emoticons" function. Whether it's on or off, it always shows up as "on" for me. The only way to get it to work is to preview the post after each ticking and unticking of the box until it works. I'll have to let Feld0 know about this...

Seems to work fine on my end. I've also had that same problem and I think that there is a glitch in basic editor. Also, total lolz for your post, Questio. I'm gonna miss not having the chance to be interacting with your character. Also many lolz for Klopp's post. I hope your arm isn't broken.

 

One last thing before I hit the hay: I added something else for the blog bandwagon. It contains a summary of my character's interactions and thoughts that I leave out in the story and it also states where Alex will be concerning the split. Enjoy!

Crap, I at the moment don't know what to post, I mean, I can't just jump into the argument argument happening right now, I might end up ruining the story, because of my past exprience in the first Shifted, I've became more cautious on what I post. Of course, I don't want to repeat the same mistakes again.

At this point, I think it's safe to say that my character is freaked out by all of you.

 

Which means that I guess I'll have her hightail it out of there back to her house in safe, tranquil Ponyville. I mean, running from armies of changelings, nearly losing her life twice to timber wolves, seeing a unicorn summon up some sort of hideous monster-thing and now seeing another unicorn blast a third into a string of digitalized oblivion...I don't think she'd like to stick around here any longer.

 

If you guys want shelter for the night though, she'd probably offer you all her house once she's had a chance to calm down.

Honestly, I don't know if her lashing out AGAIN was necessary. Jack REALLY has to go after Artsy soon, and this is just going to keep him here. Also, I feel like it cheapens his moment. The others are more WTF and afraid of it. Couldn't she just let him have his badass moment and let it go? Ice Storm already had her moment of rage and Jack is a really obscure character, and I liked that he actually got his moment to SHINE by scaring Serah. Now I feel like this is kind of stomping all over that.

 

Don't really agree with Ice Storm getting all angry again. The climax of the moment's already happened. And I don't think Jack's going to just take that standing up, which would probably cause more Matrixness/ponyfighting. I think this post should be revised or edited. Because it's just not a realistic reaction in my opinion. He just made one of the toughest ponies of the RP disappear, and then reappear... looking kind of traumatized. Would that not make one pause and stop, or be afraid? Or at least consider - really not a good idea to piss off the pony who can do that and yell at him.

Yeah, I agree with this. Ice going into yet another tirade towards Jack after what happened really should have put been the start of everyone coming to a calm. Besides, it's been made clear that Serah is perfectly okay, so there is no need for her to get in a tizzy about it.

 

It just kinda ruins the mood, and lengthens an argument that should be calming.

 

Perhaps best to wait for Ice to return and change things up to make more sense before anyone interacts, cause I don't think how Ice has currently reacted is appropriate for the situation.

 

Also...

Ice was already preparing a teleportation spell and she already had another ice spell in store store if this pony tried to attack her next.

Pretty sure that there is no way she could know at all how to do a teleportation spell, especially not this early in the RP. And a second ice spell ready on top of that just makes it sound like she has been living in Equestria for a long while, and has already grasped how to use her magic perfectly.

 

Honestly, I was already a bit displeased at how both Ice AND Serah had become proficient with their magic so soon, with no practice or training to do so. It didn't bother me too much though, but now, I'm sorry to say, it seems like the two are completely in control of their magic, and it hasn't even been a day since they've had it.

 

Not trying to sound rude or anything, I'm just trying to get my opinion out there, and kinda hoping people agree.

 

Would have said something sooner about that, really, but being new to RPs I thought I just didn't know what I was talking about. Arylett tells me I need to throw my opinions out there, so that's what I am doing now. :3

To be honest, what we need the most right now is just to speed up the day. It's been, what, a hundred and eighty posts? And we're STILL on Day 1. At this rate, the roleplay will be a hundred pages long before we even get to Canterlot.
