gaming Favorite NES game?

Hey, remember the NES? Yeah, that. I know a lot of people have it in their closet or something but I'd say that's a disgrace. My NES is right by my TV, played on a regular basis. With this prologue or whatever out of the way, what do you believe is the all time BEST NES game?

Personally, I think it's...

Mega Man 3, I guess.

Objection! Hold it! Take that! Gotcha! Eureka!

I like video games and anime.

I freakin' loved TMNT for the NES :)

Bionic Comando was also one of my all time favorites.

Unfortunately when we got rid of our NES because we lost the cords I was too young to do anything about it so I remember little of the NES and have played little of it since.

Of course, I do wanna get an NES again someday and I will play the ever living eff out of it. You can count on that.

We didn't have an NES for long, so I don't have many memories of playing it. However, I've always liked Lemmings. Also, Mother (Earthbound 0) which I played years later on emulator. Also, SMB2 was pretty awesome.

I don't play many NES games, despite owning one. Maybe its because I only have LoZ, Super Mario Bros, and Castlevania 2...

Oh one of the best games ever I think we can all agree was Zelda: A Link to the Past. Or even the original was pretty good.

That was on SNES...

That's Super Nintendo, not NES. :P

I don't know if I could pick a single favorite NES game. Top contenders would be Mega Man 3, Kirby's Adventure, Star Tropics, Castlevania 3, and Contra.

Favorite? Too tough to narrow it down to a single game, so have five.

- Bubble Bobble

- Crash n' the Boyz Street Challenge (I was like, five years old - gimme a break)

- Tetris

- Marble Madness

- Wizards & Warriors

Wasn't Tetris on the gameboy? I seem to recall being younger and playing tetris on the gameboy however I could be wrong

I love Ninja Gaiden and Castlevania. The similarities in game play and difficulty between the two are uncanny, actually. Whether this is because their game mechanics were a standard thing when they came out or some other reason, it's the main reason I like them. Ninja Gaiden is a tougher game, in my opinion, but it's a great feeling to beat a level on either of them.

Half of what I say is meaningless, but I say it so that the other half may reach you.

Tetris is on everything under the sun; in addition to the NES version I own it on Gameboy (three versions), DS, SNES, n64, PS1, PS2, PS3, and XBOX360. The NES version is by far the most unforgiving, I'd say - and that's without even considering the lack of the 'hold' feature.

Too tough a question to answer right now.

Right now it would be a tie between Batman (good Sunsoft game) and The Guardian Legend which I just discovered because of Mike Matei!

...Oh yeah, and all the Mega Man games.

Oh god, I only can pick one! What to choose, what to choose! Super Mario Brothers 3 was awesome but what about Zelda! How about Kirby, who can hate him?! Castlevania and Final Fantasy were great games too! And Punch Out!, and Tetris!, and Bubble Bobble!, and Mega Man 1-3!, and Ninja Gaiden!, and TMNT!, and Metroid!, and Duck Tales!, and etc.

If I only can pick ONE of these classical games what would it be!!! Agh! My mind cant take i- *Mind Explodes*

If I had to choose a single game, it would be Megaman 2 or any game in the original series. I suppose that Super Mario Bros. 2 would come close though.

I'm a 97's kid, so i can't really say what game for NES was my favorite.

Of course, i remember i owned one, but i don't remember what i played in it.

I just remember i played Galaga with my mom, she and i loved it.

When i was at least 12 or 13, i started getting interest in 8bit vidya and stuff, and decided to try Megaman series.

I must say that Megaman 2 and Galaga are my two favorite games of the NES.
