Yes. Due to a recent change in his backstory, he does. After all, there are a lot of trees in the forest, and not many creatures aren't afraid of fire.

okay, so I'm working on the back story for this and most of it I can copy and past from my original back story with a few tweaks, (mainly because my main Backstory is as canon as I could make it,) but so that I can make sure the proper "fluff" is in the back story, there are a few questions I need to ask.

 

Do the other ponies know that Twilight and the others are no longer the element bearers? Did they die? Has something happened to them to cause them to lose the powers?

 

Also, since this takes place after Discord, would it be safe to assume that it would also take place after the Changeling invasion from ARW or has that never happened in this setting?

Of course, that is very understandable, so I will answer those questions, although I don't want to give too much away.

 

1. No, the other ponies do not know that the Original Mane 6 are no longer the element bearers. This will be explained later in the story when Chapter 1: The Everfree Mystery reaches its conclusion.

 

2. No, the Original Mane 6 are not dead. What happened is that a decade of peace has passed since the Invasion of Queen Chrysalis and the Changelings nearly overtook Equestria during the A Cantorlot Wedding episode. Have you heard of the expression that "The end of an adventure marks the beginning of another"? That's basically what happened.

 

3. For spoiler reasons, I will not state why they cannot use the powers of the elements. However, I will state that the Original Mane 6 will make appearances in the story and depending on how you guide the story with your characters will impact them.

 

I hope this helps with the backstory for you, Ice Storm as well as others who want a little more detail about this new world of Equestria. If you still are confused, just ask.

 

Once again, We have one spot left for the group and our adventure will begin shortly when the last member comes in. I know, right? The wait is totally killing me, not to mention that I was really disappointed that I couldn't get it started on Saturday. http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png I've been deeply considering on just doing this with the 8 that we have right now so that we can start posting, but I don't know. I do believe that having a small party helps make the story more personal and nopony would feel left out, but does that speak too much as being impatient on my part or am I overthinking this?... Well, it's good to keep a good size for a roleplay. A good size where every person has a role in the roleplay is usually around 4-8. You usually don't want to go any higher or lower than that (least from my experience.)

 

If you really want to start, you could just start and just leave a slot for somepony to just read the roleplay and go from there (least to the point of no return.)

 

Also, maybe if Juggler had an idea around that time, he could start as well.

Hmmm... You have a good point there. I never did like having to control double digit parties; too much chaos.

 

Alright here is what I will do: I will put the green light on the first post for the RP thread and the link to said thread will be posted at the top of the first post in this OOC thread. However, the number to join the party still stands, so 1 more pony is free to join until the party goes to meet Princess Celestia. (Which will be somewhere in Chapter 2.) If nopony joins after that point, the party will be switched to closed. For those haven't joined yet, do not worry since it will take a bit time before we reach that point; however, I suggest you don't delay. Remember to all who have already joined and have yet to join, I will need a backstory to see how your character fits in the prologue.

 

Anyways, the adventure begins!... Just not right now because I gotta finish a post for another RP I'm participating in. It will be up tonight, I promise.

Well, I kinda chose it because the overall theme of this story is friendship because that is the only way that the new Mane 6 (or Mane 7) will stop the threat that is bearing on Equestria. Also, I'm sooo sorry about that mistake with your pony's gender. I must have been a little sleepy when I wrote your character's info there and I will fix that now as well.

Before I put her in, I just need a small 3 sentence paragraph describing her placement in the prologue. Something like SilverHeart visiting the edge of the Everfree forest to collect flowers and herbs to create treatments for patients, for example.
