Nightmare

Hey everypony, I'm back with my fourth orchestrated piece of fan music!

 

This one is called Nightmare, in that it is supposed to musically simulate the experience of a nightmare.

Sorry that it's not quite as epic or long as Celestial Harmony--I didn't really think to take that much time working on it.

 

Oh, and also it was inspired by the villain of a fanfic I'm writing, which you should be able to find here if you're curious and it's actually up yet: http://www.fimfictio...re-in-Ponyville

I should probably make the fic in a separate thread...

 

Edit: Well it seems some sonofa fellow writer decided to take the name "Nightmare in Ponyville". can't blame them, but I'm pretty sure even if the fic was approved that link won't work anymore.

I like it! I think i would play this in the middle of woods at night really loudly just to scare people... or myself. You can practically picture this song in your head. The whole time you want to think to yourself "what's that?" or "dun dun dun" bravo...

I don't really think this "simulates" a nightmare. There should be a cello somewhere there, cello's are terrific instruments to make back chills through your spine. And the end... Heh, it is not what I was expecting... Perhaps I'll compose a song with my cello and post it here to compare Besides that, it sound nice

I like it. It does show me what one would expect in a nightmare. The song is beautiful the entire way through. I must say you did a great job.

LOL, great idea...didn't even think of that That was the kind of atmosphere I wanted to create, one of fear, so thanks!

There is a cello part -_- But I guess my program's cello sounds aren't quite distinctive enough to match the real thing. Anyway, thanks for the feedback, and shoot me a message if you ever play that for cello

Thanks, I know what you mean. This was the first fan piece of mine where I actually used the drums, and it looks like I used them well!
