Why would they rename Derpy twice? "Prefers not to use the mail" is obviously the polar opposite of being the mailmare, too. Then again, this might be Derpy's evil twin... 1 I frequently edit my new posts to fix grammatical errors or to reword stuff, so sorry if I make it look like I'm forging my messages to change the meaning of anyone's replies or something. Unfortunately, recoloured art is used all the time on the toy packaging. Blossomforth here is just a recolour of Rainbow/Fluttershy's blind bag vector. That being said, I'd like to see where the OP got the original image. If it's real, looks like they're really going out of their way to change Derpy -_- Although Hasbro has never been quite all there with merch for G4 (the Fluttershy blind bag fiasco, anyone?), so I wouldn't be surprised if it was completely accidental! To be serious, though, the toys don't have cutie marks on both sides, like the show, and many of the facts about he toys are different than from the show. So the two are set in different universes... That's a total photoshop, and you can tell because the fonts aren't right, and the art isn't the cookie cutter style that they have on the back of each package. Just look! Each pony is just a recolor of a base line art and only the colors change. Hasbroken has never been one to change up their basic line of toys' art style just on a whim. Heehee...good troll though. She will still be Derpy. Hasbro actually loves Derpy. That's why she was the 2012 special pony at Comic Con. They just got in huge trouble when she was put on TV. Derpy is dangerous - the only way they can get around to making Derpy merchandise is through subtlety. Bubbles? The sheer lack of creativity oozing out of Hasbro's flank right now is making me eyes bleed. Shouldn't be expecting much in the first place. But Bubbles? Really? Actually, Bubbles is a member of the original 1980s crew of ponies. She was one of two sitting ponies Hasbro ever made, making her rather sought after by collectors of the vintage toys. I wouldn't be surprised if Derpy's cutie mark was inspired by dear little Bubbles here. If they DO ever rename her officially to Bubbles, I don't think it would necessarily be a bad thing, but a subtle nod to the old days of MLP. In fact, it's not something unusual for Hasbro. Applejack was from the 80's as I'm sure you know, and they revived her in the new series, and did so in the G3 generation as well (but she was red with a green apple cutiemark.) They've done it several times in fact, in both the toy line and now in the TV show too.
