Thinking of starting a my little pony manga

I'm thinking of starting my own My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic doujin/fan-comic/manga featuring the cast humanized and in high school.

 

The style will be anime and manga, black and white (some pages will be in color but black and white takes less time) and I need people's opinions... I'm new to the pony fandom and I am amazed at how talented you all are.

 

From the fan animations to comics to plushies and whatnot, I'm quite liking what I've seen so far 83!

 

I also really like this forum and how it almost made me read the rules before anything else. Smart move guys. Smart move.

 

Anyways, so I have an idea.

 

Twilight Sparkle is a transfer student from Canterlot Academy (beta-name) and is transferring to Ponyvill high, she comes from a high-class city and most people think she's rather snooty but she's not really, so when she enters Ponyvill High (also a beta-name) she meets new friends that help her through the many challenges of getting settled in this quaint, country town: Ponyvill.

 

I'm thinking of changing it from Ponyvill to someplace else since their not exactly 'ponies', though what I think would be cute is that every now and then, you can see little cameos of their pony-self's.

 

Like, Twilight could be holding a plush toy of her pony-self in one chapter while on a sleep over with rainbow dash. I think that could be cute.

 

Anyway tell me what you think, I really enjoy how this forum is laid out, I really like the my little pony fandom and what I've seen of it so far!

How come every where I go, no matter how hard I try everyone always is so critical, I'm just trying to get my idea across. Why don't you try to offer some advice that could help me improve if you don't like it? Instead of criticizing it? Okay?

alright.

 

writers are meant to come up with their own ideas. understand what works and through practice and the measuring of peer reaction and reading. You can tell what you are doing wrong.

 

e.g. read enough manga, read ABOUT the theory of manga artists and you kinda get a trend... and often said.

 

that the school drama is the laziest environment to establish as a setting for a story.

 

Plus you are wasting a perfectly good canon that has cause oh I dunno... an internet sensation! And ur NOT taking advantage of that by not using it?

I was thinking of doing the same except it would follow the Mane 6 on the Nightmare moon,Chrysalis arc leading up to the Discord battle.What makes you wanna do it based in High school?And just a word of advice: A lot of people really don't like the Humanized versions ( I love them )

that... I beg to differ. I love humanised ponies. It doesn't make feel guilty to like them as an object of moe. While as ponies... I just get r34 flashbacks and go into a foetal position.

The high school idea was just something random, if you have more ideas I would love to hear them and I wouldn't mind if you were to help out! I just want to write something like a my little pony comic. I'm new to this fandom so... ^^;

lol sounds hilarious to be honest and Im not really even a fan of the humanize thing. There should be a part where they're in chemistry and twilight blows up the lab or something

I personally love the idea and you shouldn't listen to somepony's, because they are being totally rude. I was actually thinking of doing a chibi manga or just a cat manga of MLP. (And I'm still going to!)

 

If you want we can share our projects with each other for feedback and what not. Also every person is different and although some people tend to follow the crowd, the mixture of your characters and the show that its based off of, will probably prevent that.

 

And don't worry about les haters because I get them too. :< Us awesome people just have to prevail over them. I like the humanized ponies by the way.

Same here.I've seen some people say they hate it but I don't really see the logic there it's just alternative fan art IMO.

I don't F*** around with R34/Clop pics.That's one of the few pieces of" art" If you would even call it that, I dislike..

Hmm I've never really been too good with slice of life writing

Hallow had a pretty good idea about the lab blowing up That could be pretty funny.
