Forum for Guilds/Servers

While we have the forum for the servers hosted by MLP Forums, we should expand that area to allow members to post about their guilds across all of the many games, as well as any servers they may have. This would help bring together the gamer brony community and make the gaming experience 20% cooler for everyone.

I really doubt Feld0 can set up servers for all the games on the Steam. It's much easier just to create a MLPForums group and invite everyone who plays on Steam.

I think you misunderstood my suggestion. I do not wish for more servers to be created by the people who run this site. I wish for the community to have a place to post their own servers and guilds/clans for any/all games.

Oh, You mean a place where you can tell others about your already existing server?

My bad! I read your post wrong :x

 

For now you can post your server in Media Discussion on Everfree Forest, anything games related can go there. About the new place, we will have to wait for the tech admins I guess

I don't think it would be used enough to need a separate sub-section. Media Discussion seems to work fine for our needs. We're not exactly flooded with "Join my guild!" threads.

We try to be cautious when it comes to creating new boards and sub boards for the sake of keeping clutter on the main index down to a minimum. Given that we've yet to be absolutely flooded with clan/guild threads, I don't think we're in any dire need of dedicated board space space for them.

Aye. To be honest, I'm not really liking the idea of putting up "Join my clan" threads all over the media section. I mean, unless the admins set up a special sub-forum (such as this one: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/board,283.0.html ) the whole media section will turn into a mess.

 

Truth be told, since I'm about to start out my own clan, I could really use a small thread to gather up recruits.... yet I wouldn't post it here. For some reason I found the Brony communities not suitable for recruiting Line Battle clan recruits. The simple fact that the trainings involve strict discipline and almost flawless teamwork tends to go against Bronies, specially since there are twice as many non-bronies in the rank and file, and many happen to be 'haters'.

 

Love and tolerance is non existent in that environment...

Apart from the fact that we don't have all that many "join my clan!" threads, MLP Forums is not exactly an appropriate community to do such things at, anyway. MLP Forums operates its own game servers, so you already need my personal permission to use this site to advertise your own community. We don't really want to have too much advertising of other clans and servers going on here because - let's face it - we want our members to play on our own ones.
