My Little Pony Magazine?

What would you think if Hasbro released a magazine that would be released monthly or weekly, depending on the quality...

 

And also, fans could submit their characters to the magazine and then they can eventually get featured in the show, make of course, VERY MINOR appearances!

 

Example, if Rarity were running back to her shop, she bumped into a pony that was actually an OC from a comic in the magazine, then she said "OH sorry!" and continued to run past him/her. That would be the only screen time the OC would get, because actually allowing an OC to interact with the mane six in the animation would be a little much on Hasbro's behalf.

 

Anyway, I think it'd be cool. Eventually Hasbro could make contests and get people to send in pictures of their OCs and then they could get figurines made and shipped to them, or plushies or cards or whatever.

 

I think that'd be cool.... more Pony toys would be nice. I haven't really done much research on the newer toys, though I think Hasbro still needs to release more? Isn't that something fans are demanding?

 

And also, releasing a OST/Soundtrack CD would be nice from Hasbro.

This idea still needs some refinement, but I believe that it would be very cool, but I don't see how many people would enter the plushie competitions, as hasbro's plushies are about as accurate to the characters as a toaster is to a cantelope.

I would subscribe to that magazine if it released issues monthly. I think a weekly issue would be too fast paced for a magazine like this but I would definitely get them if they were monthly.

 

And having OCs in the show as minor characters? That could be cool. Maybe even some of the more famous OCs on the forum.

Magazine?...Well, i never ever subscribed to anything in my short life, but i must admit, that would be something I would thoroughly consider. If the thing was like a physical EQD ...or something similar with its own catch.

I would totally subscribe to a magazine like that! (if it released monthly issues)... As of the OC idea... No, I just don't think I'd like that.

Yes, I would. If Hasbro did this, it would bring more publicity for the show. Hasbro should take at least some of our ideas into consideration

There is an magazine in The Netherlands, it costs 3,95 euro and its Dutch, no really, this month ther eis an plastic figure in it. If i only had the money...

They already have one, apparently in some European countries, but it's mostly composed of clip art and the funny foreign comics that Equestria Daily always translates and posts.

 

I would be very cool though if there was an American magazine geared towards a wider audience. It could feature fanwork and show content (eg. interviews with people working on the show, merchandise info, behind the scenes articles or fan content such as promoting fan videos, having fanart, maybe a fan fiction column where writers can submit stories). I could see them publishing it every month filled with content from the Brony community alone.

I honestly don't think it would be anything special. I don't know about you, but there's just very little content that you can do with such a magazine. It would be mostly fan-submitted and the only news would be about the show and upcoming Cons. I want a little more variety if a magazine is gonna dedicate itself to a fandom. Like with Nintendo Power, because that encompasses everything Nintendo, you get more of a unique look into various projects and news rather than just focusing on one area.

 

But that's just me though.

I don't think OC's should be featured in the show but other than that.. Sounds awesome! It should be for bronies and when I say that I mean it shows a lot of fandom references in it, like showing Derpy in it a whole lot of background ponies.
