I played a ton of racing games, but my favorites are Gran Turismo, ATV Off-road Fury, and Motor Storm.

The only ones I ever liked were Star Wars Pod Racer and Burn Out Revenge. 

Enjoyed the former as a kid and liked the latter as a teen. Good sound track and mechanics. Something about the revenge feature, elimination and traffic jam modes that are so gratifying.

Burnout 3 will always be my favorite racing game, though I also like the F1 games, Dirt Rally, both Project Cars games and the GRID series. The first GRID is still the best one of those, though.

Forza Motosport baby! By far my favorite racing series. Fun fact: Before Forza 5, I was never actually into racing games of this type, I was mostly into arcadey stuff. Then Forza 5 changed my life. I love everything about the series. The many options to ease in new players. The sheer amount of cars. The ability to paint and customize any car. The best looking tracks in racing games. The level system. It is not only fun and addicting but relaxing too. I jave been a huge fan ever since and I have bought the ultimate editions of Forza 6 and 7 and put hundreds of hours onto the series. Crazy how that happens. These games have also made GT racing my favorite sport. For me, Forza is the king of racing games.

Other favorites of mine are Mario Kart DS, Motorstorm, Burnout 3, and Demolition Racer which is very underrated.

The racing games I have had the most fun with are the Mario Kart series and Burnout. Mario Kart is like the only video game I'm actually pretty good at, and I've always found the series to be pretty fun. Burnout, I just found it funny to crash. I liked the first Burnout the best, where the crashes weren't the point of the game, but were just something silly you could do. In the later games where it became the goal, it became less fun to me, I don't know why.

I can't do standard racers like Gran Turismo. They are just not interesting to me. I'm just not a car person.
