Title: The Cutie Mark Chronicles
Air Date: April 15, 2011
Synopsis: Frustrated with their lack of success, The Cutie Mark Crusaders seek out Twilight and the rest of the ponies to learn the stories of how they got their cutie marks.

I really, really loved this episode. Not only was it cool to see the two main groups of characters collide and interact on an individual basis, but in this single episode you learn more about the pasts' of the Main Six than anywhere else in the series thus far. Edited by DashForever

This was a great episode. It gave us great back stories on how all of the characters lived, it showed us that they were all connected, and we got to see how they looked when they were young. Twilight was so cute.

Nice episode, cute fillies. The only thing that nagged at me was that Rainbow Dash was the cause of all of their cutie marks, and one of the main reasons why she's so popular. Also showing Faust's bias torward Dash, singling her out to be the best while the others dug under the dirt. I think Twilight should be the cause, because...oh, I don't know, she's the protagnist?

Eh, Their all protagnist characters i just think RD and Twilight rival for the top spot due to popularity. AIthought it was a good episode since we saw some backstory of the mane 6. The fact RD essentially was responsible for their cutie marks was a well thought out idea.

Best part of this episode: Pinkie Pie on a rock farm with straightened hair and a demure outlook on life. I have a few guesses on what her former life was supposed to represent in pop culture. Anyone else think that the whole rock farm thing was supposed to reference some other demure kind of life?

This was an amazing episode, one of my favorites, but there was something odd that I noticed...

I'd think that the background ponies are the same age as the Mane 6, but when we see Twilight and Rarity's flashbacks, ponies such as Derpy are adults. Shouldn't they also have been fillies at that time?

I know that they probably don't want to create a bunch of new background ponies for that episode, but its still a bit odd to me, like when filly Twilight is standing next to a much older Lyra...

This episode is definitely the best episode on the first season. I love how Rainbow Dash caused all of the good in her friends. It's so heartwarming to know that even if you're just one pony, you can help all of the other ponies without even knowing it.

Does anybody else favor this episode for S1?

The cutie mark chronicles is probably my Favorite mlp episode so far. I love the way all the story's interacted especially fluttershy and rainbow dash since their story's start in the same place its all very cleaver.

I love this episode, especially Scootaloo's reaction ("Ugh!  These namby pamby stories aren't getting us any closer to our cutie marks!  They're about 'finding who you really are' and boring stuff like that!") but it makes me wonder- what would have happened if RD didn't perform the Sonic Rainboom?

This episode is one of my favorites of season 1. It has all the best charecters, it tells all the stories in a good, easy way, and i love the way all the charecters come along and scootaloo's reactions when each pony comes along.

One of my top eps of one and two,  in seeing the bounds of the Mane Six and also
the CMC learning a thing or two about their sisters/role models in a good
way.   The fav of mine was Fluttershy of
all of them but one thing I did not like was how Dash was sort of the main
branch in everything.    I think she gets
to much of a hype….

It was very interesting to see how the Mane six got their Cutie Marks. I really wanted to know that for a while and was happy when seeing this episode. And it also showed how powerful Twilight can be. If you recall, she did, without controling it, turn ponies into other objects and let spike grow to a huge size. and that was without having control over the magic. it let me think of what she can do when she controls that magic an the results are amazing.

For me this was a great episode, I love back stories on characters and this episode delivered. In the early episodes I wondered about the past of the ponies and they were blanks as far as I knew. I knew nothing about them so this episode also answerd many of my questions.

ALL of the Mane 6 look ADORABLE as fillies, but my favourite has to be Rarity.

D'AWWW, JUST LOOK AT DAT WIDDLE FACE...

Anyways, I discovered something weird in this episode.

So, one of the effects of Twilight's magical freak-out is that Spike momentarily becomes a rather grown-up dragon. In other words, an age spell. Two seasons later, we find out age spells are nearly impossible to perform. No wonder Celestia was so impressed, eh?
