For running or something, I'll usually go with something like Split the Atom by Noisia (one of my favourite drops ever!) or Kaboom Kaboom by Marilyn Manson. If I'm lifting weights, I usually go for something more like Special K by Placebo. For anything else, I'll usually go for Slipknot or similar.

I have marching band so I have our show to pump me up, or whatever plays before we march out. Usually it's our third movement which is mostly battery (drumline). Usually before football games Sail by AWOLNation (not sure if spelled right) is played over the speakers.

On my iPod, I'll usually listen to Triple Trouble by Beastie Boys, Mr. Brightside and Sam's Town by The Killers and Make it stop (September's Children) by Rise Against.

Cantina Band all the way guys :) (The jazz song you here from Star Wars all the time) The rhythm creates a nice beat for running, and is certainly exciting and gives you energy.

Other songs I listen too before/during excercise are a few soundtracks from Portal 2, and for the hell of it, the Finding a Pet song as well ;) I also listen to some soundtracks from MLP as well.

  • 2 years later...

Trap during and before a lifting session always pumps me up.

Basically, trap is my go-to training music.  :D

I don't know why, but I listened to Pantera one day before working out, and "Walk" kinda just stuck:
