I hope nopony has already made a thread like this before...

Anyways, I'm a Nintendo fanboy of sorts, and I LOVE (and I mean LOVE) to talk about the Wii U. So this is basically a thread to spout your opinions and insights into.

Do you hate it? Do you love it? Are you just neutral?

Just say some stuff you think about the Wii U, and why, or just post some questions you have about it; maybe someone can answer them!

From there, we can just start a big long hype train.

I'll start: I wonder when we'll start to see multi-gamepad support, and how much an extra gamepad will cost...

Also, as of now, 17 days until launch!!! xD 16!!!

Very amped for Wii U as with anything Nintendo

 

I tried a Rayman Legends Demo at Nintendo World Store not too long ago and i really liked it, the Wii U GamePad is surprisingly light and very comfortable.

 

Picking my deluxe set up at Gamestop on launch day with New Super Mario Bros. U

 

So yes i love the Wii U and am ready for it Day 1

And so, we've come full circle. A forum that got it's start in a Wii U forum now has a thread about the Wii U. This has quantum implications, I'm sure.

 

I'm still iffy on the whole thing. I'll give it a shot when there's a display model at a store/if a friend buys one.

I'm so excited for Wii U for Pikmin 3 been waiting for that game since pikmin 3 info was realesed back in 2006 or 07.

So im either going to

sell my Xbox 360,a couple old games and Ps3 to get Wii U 32GB system plus Zombi U and Black ops 2.

Or

sell my Ps3 and Buy halo 4 and Black ops 2.

I'm troubled and not quite sure what to do >.>.

Any thoughts?

There's only 1 reason why I'm getting the Wii-U. Three words.

 

1. Monster

2. Hunter

3. Ultimate

 

I'm excited for the Wii-U to come out, but it's not the Wii-U I'm excited for, it's Monster Hunter that I'm excited for.

While I have no hope of affording one at launch, I am keeping an eye on this system. I've always had a soft spot for Nintendo and loved pretty much all of their major systems (though that took a lot of shoveling through the shovelware in the case of the Wii).

That said, none of the announced launch titles are really selling me just yet. Scribblenauts Unlimited is the most enticing to me but...it's also going to be on the 3DS. The new Super Smash Bros. intrigues me as well but...it's also going to be on the 3DS. I already have a 3DS so...yeah.

 

The digital artist in me (read: 95% of my personality) really likes the controller but then, I already own a Cintiq tablet and a 3DS so the controller isn't doing anything I haven't already seen in some form.

The pricing is pretty reasonable and, assuming I can get on my feet financially, I'll probably end up with a Wii U sooner or later.

I also don't hate the name unlike a lot of people; I don't find it anymore awkward than saying Ryu (at least if you pronounce it correctly).

Since I grew up with Nintendo it pretty always had a special place in my heart, don't get me wrong Sony is pretty awesome too and I also liked Sega back in the day so I am always pumped for a major console release.

I would defently get one, if I could afford to. ATM I have little money to spend on something like this on launch. Maybe when next summer comes around I might get one but for the time being, I will just have to wait and dream.

Like Crispy, I'm iffy about it. (Iffy Crispie! LOL) I haven't bought a new game system since the Playstation 2, and money's so tight that I'm better off saving it for something essential, like when my car finally quits. So I probably won't be buying this. But make no mistake, I will be following the reactions of those who do. I have a friend named Paul who owns a game store in Minnesota, and he summed up the outlook for the WiiU pretty well when I interviewed him a few months back. (That's right, you can hear TailsAlone's voice here. I'm the nerdy guy at the beginning.)

I don't think I'll be getting it at launch, but I certainly will somewhere down the line. I just bought a 3DS and there seems to be more games coming to it that I'm interested in than Wii U(heck, even Monster Hunter is coming to it too and I don't really need the online mode), so I'll be focusing on that for gaming for a while.

It's impossible for me to pre-order right now what with the extreme waiting times in my area. It sucks because I was one of the first people to get the original Wii back in 2006 and that was like my crowning achievement haha.

 

I'm planning on getting a black WiiU Deluxe edition. I'll probably get Assassin's Creed III, Arkham Asylum, and Rayman Legends. I'm waaaaay past my Mario playing days (after NSMBWii, I just lost all faith with the series and just stopped caring) and all the other games don't interest me in the least.

 

Like most other Nintendo freaks, I am DYING for Pikmin 3. Pikmin 2 was an amazing game and I want that awesomeness to continue!

I'm interested in the Wii U but I want to try it out at a store and get a feel for it before I buy it. I just hope they release the next Super Smash Bros in a year or 2 then I would definitely get it.

I'm not so sure, I mean yeah, Nintendo hasn't released anything in a while but it just seems to similar to wii. It's like they smashed Nintendo DS and wii into one. Not buying it.

I don't think I'm gonna buy one anytime soon. I'm happy with my Wii and other Nintendo consoles. I just hope they don't do the thing where they stop making regular Wii games to force people to buy the Wii U. Then I'll just be mad.

I'd also check out the possibility of mutual funds. They're more of a collection of stocks, so if one falls, the others will keep the average earnings afloat. (Check out Dave Ramsey; he's an amazing guy with a very manageable plan for dealing with money.)

 

As for the Wii U, I LOVED the Legend of Zelda trailer (although I'm not sure whether it will turn into a real game or not). If it does though, I'd love to get it.

I have never (don't kill me) played a Pikmin title, actually! It looks pretty cool, though, an RTS of sorts... I remember seeing an advertisement for the first one, I think, in an old magazine. Maybe I'll try it out some day!

You should be grateful that you're even getting one that soon! I was gonna get one, but my mom decided at the last minute that I couldn't until I sold my Wii. Hopefully I can get one soon, though!
