the blue haired adept stepped through the portal that had appeared before him and into a dark room. Several of his apparent competitors had already assembled but none were talking. Except a woman and an old man. Alex set his face with feigned uninterest, walked briskly into the room and situated himself where he could observe everyone. After all you cannot manipulate people to do your will unless you know them.

As Peter entered the portal, he was immediatly presented with quite a few odd characters, his attention was called to two figures already in conversation with each other, a woman who was having a way too passionate conversation with air after ignoring her previous conversational partner, an elderly, yet tall bearded man in a robe. "That guy would probably get along with Strange pretty easily..." Spider-Man said under his breath, then Spider-Man took notice of the others in the room, "a couple medevil guys, a circle with a sword and a mask... Hello!" Spider-Man looked at the seven-foot tall mountain of green armor, the spectical reminded him a lot of the Hulk... Just, fun-sized. Spider-Man decided to chat with him.

"Hey Universal-Neighbor, your the champ where you come from I see. So, you got a body inside that suit or are you some kind of animatronic battle warrior?" Spider-Man was examining the giant's visor before taking a few steps back while hitting the palm of his hand to his forehead, "Oh, right where are my manners? I'm Spider-Man, hero to New York and Inter-Dimensional champion apparently. So anyway, I swing around, stoping crimes and putting other brightly colored leotard wearing yahoos like myself behind bars when they get too rowdy, what's your story?" Spider-Man said while hanging upside down from a web so that he could be at eye level with the tank in front of him.

Meta Knight looked at his competition. These people were nothing like what he's seen in Dreamland though he was sure he could take on all of them. One thing that bothered him was that he noticed not everyone had a weapon, this was particularly unnerving as it was against his code of honor to fight an unarmed opponent. Though if they were here they most likely had some way of defending themselves.

Rainbow Dash was busy busy busy. Well, not really busy, but you could still say so. She would not tolerate being passed meaningless notes during the only time she could rest. This was the third time she'd read it, and she still couldn't see what the pony who wrote this note way meaning by 'universe.' There was no universe; only Equesteria. She slid down to the floor, turned around, and scanned the room, hoping to see somepony familiar. When she finally gave up looking, she muttered something under her breath.

Alex's eyes were drawn to a small round creature with a mask. it looked slightly like a djinn, but he could tell by size, shape, and the fact that it held a sword it was not an elemental from his world. As his eyes wandered over the rest of the competitors he noticed that a tall green clad warrior stood facing a small, upside down creature that seemed to be hanging from a string attached to the ceiling. He knew he should make allies quickly but he did not have enough information to start a conversation with any of his competitors.

The Masked Man Stared at the colored equine, was it one of King Porky's Chimera's?

He then approached it cautiously to investigate further.

Well, it had wings... other than the colors it was rather uncreative for a Chimera.

He then decided to wait and see what it did next, being as he did not even recognize it, perhaps he should take it back for the scientist to test on.

Dante merly glanced down as a Rainbow maned pegasus landed next to him. "Really? This is a "champion" whats next Hello Kitty?" He said his trademark smirk never leaving his face. The others were...strange, an old man talking to a hyper girl, and a spider human thing this better be worth it.

Dumbledore gave up the Doctress as not returning to their conversation anytime soon, and noticed a new arrival. It was the most unusual looking Pegasus Dumbledore had ever seen, with a rainbow colored mane and tail. It seemed much smaller than the usual Flying Horse. He approached this unique specimen, and extended his unwithered hand, assuming he would be able to communicate with the rainbow pegasus, seeing as how he or she was the champion of whatever universe he or she hailed from. "Hello, my name is Albus Dumbledore, and I am the Headmaster of Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry."

With a look at the crowd a brewing, the Masked man quickly retreated from the area. He would not want somone messing with his circuits or anything like that, so he would just listen in from a distance.

With a turn on his mask, he was capable of hearing more of the conversation.

A crash gave rise to a new arrival. A pegasus??? You have got to be kidding me. was Alex's thought. although now that he thought about it most of the champions around him didn't seem to be related to any specific element. the red and blue, upside down did not look to be Mercury (water) or Mars (Fire) and that light blue new arrival didn't have the purple or blond hair of Jupiter (Wind) and no one held the gold color of Venus (Earth) though there was a masked man hiding in the shadows that reminded him of his previous employers. although he was much better at masking his presence. in fact Alex only barely noticed him before he shrank into the shadows.

"Uhh, hi?", she said, hesitating before taking its..well, whatjamicallit. 'Hogwarts? What kind of name is that?', she thought to herself. She wasn't sure if she would be able to trust a whole lot of these things, in fact, all of them were totally different. 'Fighting to the death with this lot, she was sure  she would not bother with this.

Aragorn watched silently from the shadows, his olive green hood hiding his face. As he puffed on his pipe, the embers lit up his eyes in an orange glow. His gaze was fixed on the competitors, seemingly growing stranger with each passing arrival. It was a bit of a strain to imagine any of these being considered mighty. Yet here they were, his opponents. Aragorn tried to get his mind off of the passing battle, his thoughts wandering off to the shores of the Loudwater, the crystal waters of the Anduin, the tall groves of Lorien. He mumbled a small song to himself, the words smooth and flat, spoken in elvish tongue. In calmed his mood and lightened his heart.

Dumbledore chuckled, after giving the pegasus one of his piercing stares. "Hogwarts is kind of a funny name, isn't it? It is a school of magic. Now, I must admit to being rather curious as to where you come from. We have winged horses where I come from, but they cannot speak, and are quite a bit larger than you yourself. Although, I must say, you possess a certain charm that I have rarely seen the likes of, even among my own kind. And I must apologize, but I did not seem to catch your name."

47 took a look at his opponents and observed them. They were a myriad of men, women, and other beings, not all of them dangerous-looking.

One of them, a woman with a pair of daggers and a revolver, was discussing something with an old, bearded man clad in silver robes. The old man did not seem to pose any sort of threat, but 47 made a mental note to watch out for the woman.

Another, a young boy by the looks of it, had a helmet on his head and some sort of device attached to his left arm. He looked deadly serious. 47 didn't want to hurt him, but if push came to shove, so be it.

There were two men who looked like they were pulled from the Middle Ages. One was long-haired, bearded, and wore chain-mail armor, a leather vest, and a green cloak. He had a broadsword with him. The other wore a horned helmet and leather armor. He also had a sword, but he brought a shield with him as well. 47 decided that they were easy targets, for he had ranged weaponry. However, he made a note to steer clear from close combat with those two.

47 noticed another swordwielder. He was wearing a red leather longcoat and had an enormous sword sheathed on his back, and he was walking around like it was nothing more than a pebble. However, 47 noticed a weakness he could exploit: his personality. He was cocky, too cocky. Sooner or later, he would slip up. And that was when 47 would strike.

47 looked over to see a muscular man in a red-and-blue spandex jumpsuit with a spider on the chest. He looked like he came from a comic book and was like the longcoat-wearing swordsman: overconfident. However, 47 didn't want to tackle him head on: he assumed those muscles weren't just padding.

There was also the matter of the gigantic soldier in green, metal armor. 47 was genuinely unnerved, even though it was slight. Unfortunately for the soldier, he had left his neck exposed under his helmet.

47 moved on to the odder competitors. One had all of his clothes some shade of blue, along with his hair. There was also a short, stout blob dressed in a mask, cape, and shoulder pads, despite not having any shoulders. In his spherical hands was a golden sword. And lastly, a cerulean pegasus with mane the color of the rainbow. She had a tattoo of a cloud with rainbow-colored lighting coming out of it.

47 decided that, with all of these competitors, this tournament would certainly be... interesting.

Alex grew tired of watching and decided to have a little fun. noticing that another champion was smoking a pipe he chuckled, with a small twitch of his hand, hidden by the folds of his cloak, he summoned a small rain cloud above the pipe, extinguishing it. He did enjoy a good prank, but he wanted to see the champions reaction.

The little "prank" did not go unnoticed by the onlooker here, this one seamed fairly unprofessional, so perhaps the Masked man's training to be the commander of the Pig King's Army would easily beat this one.

He then noticed the one whom had seamed to notice him more, he also noted this one was observing each opponent, and he can easily see the armcannon attached to his arm. So, he remembered he had better keep a good manner for now, tat way these ones won't expect PSI attacks.

Aragorn was not amused by this act of immaturity, but kept calm. He put away his wooden pipe and addressed the opponent. He spoke in clear elvish tongue, flowing like a clear stream.

"I eneth nîn Aragorn, en Im Strider eston. Man i eneth gîn?" He made a shallow bow before speaking again. "My name is Aragorn, son of Arathorn, but you may call me Strider. What is your name sir."

"HELLO CHAMPIONS!!!" The Game Master said as his hologram appeared in the center of the waiting room. "By now there is only one missing," he noted as his eyes swept acroiss the room. He then threw his arms up in the air. "Now, I'm sure you're all wondering why I chose you... it is simply because you entertain me," he told them flatly before typing into a console and causing a light to fall down on two of the Champions. "SPIDERMAN!" A metalic voice said as before he was transported away into a ruined city. "RAINBOW DASH!" It continued as she was transported about 300 feet away from him. A screen then appeared in the waiting room to watch the battle. "FIGHT!"

The reaction that caught Alex's attention wasnt from the man with the pipe, no another champion had noticed it. He smirked, well at least that answers that question Alex knew his prank would lead to reactions but he never expected someone to be able to see the rain cloud, it was made of Psynergy after-all, and only and Adept could see Psynergy. although Alex doubted that the masked man could use psynergy, he now knew that he was dealing with more then just raw strength. There were other mental abilities in the room that had to be accounted for.

The master chief starred at spider-man for a moment. Their was a little bit of an akward silence...then he spoke "Im the master chief, my name's john, im a soldier of the unsc. I fight agaisnt an alien race who's goal is to put an end to the human race...You seem like a nice kid, you can call me chief" Spider-man's name was called as he teleported. The chief watched the screen, he kinda hoped spider-man won. Edited by discorded

Dumbledore seemed unsurprised then the rainbow pegasus - Rainbow Dash, the Game Master had called her - vanished from in front of him. Turning around, he noticed a man speaking in a language that did not sound unlike Gobbledygook, the language of the Gringotts goblins, although it had a much smoother quality to it than Gobbledygook. Approaching the man, who was storing away what looked like a drenched pipe, Dumbledore said, "Excuse me, my good man. I can relight your pipe for you if you like."

Aragorn saw as two of the competitors were whisked away to fight, one never to be seen again. He bowed his head in respect for those who were about to die, turning back to relighting his extinguished pipe. He crushed some more pipe weed and was about to relight it when he was greeted by a humble old man in robes.

"That would be most kind of you." He held out his pipe to him with both hands, worn and ragged. He tilted his head in thanks as he handed it over to him.

(Well then xD)

Rainbow Dash thought that was abrupt, and pretty mean to boot. However, she had no choice. She took to the air, hoping he or she might do something to make it easier for her to win. She didn't think the thing would, but you've always got hope, right?

Dumbledore took the pipe from Aragorn with his good hand, and pulling out his wand, cast a tiny flame, just enough to relight the pipe. He inadvertently revealed his withered, blackened wand arm in the process, but it didn't concern him. Let them see. Maybe they'll pity me for it, and underestimate me. Dumbledore was surprised by that thought. He didn't want to have to slay any of them, but if he was to destroy Voldemort without sacrificing more lives than he had to, and if he wanted to cure his hand of the curse upon it, he was going to have to. Wordlessly Dumbledore handed the rugged man his pipe back, and payed attention to the screen. He was never going to see one of the competitors again. "It seems rather unfortunate for them that they would have to go first, doesn't it?" Dumbledore said, not looking at the man whose pipe he had just lit, but speaking to him nonetheless.
