If You Were Discorded

This has pondered my little mind quite a few times. You are strolling on a walk alone, minding your own business, when out of the blue you see a a shadow of someone who is right behind you. Before you can turn around, you feel a tap on your head and suddenly you are extremely dizzy for several seconds. The shadow vanishes and your body turns grey. "Can you believe it?" You don't really seem to pay any attention to that, but you've completely swapped personalities. What is to become of you now?

 

After several months I've finally came to the conclusion. I would be carefree and do everything without considering any consequences. No one's opinion would matter to me. It would be all about me. I would be the most important person in the world. Anyone who disagrees would be in for it. 

 

Your turn. What about you?

Hmm, I'd guess Id be the opposite of what I am now. I'd be dumb and an absolute beetch to everyone. But ESPECIALLY fluttershy . I'd have no anxiety and be completely care free.

I would act quite a lot like Discord actually, I'd be very cheerful but also very hateful and malicious. I'd also think Dashie was worst pony (It hurt to type that)

Hmm...

I would probably act extremely immature and illogical.

But, I currently have a terrible work ethic, so I guess that would improve.

I would also be extremely emotional because, right now, I'm preeeeetty numb to that kinda' stuff. I'm literally the kinda' guy that, when told that, say, I child gets stuck in the oven by terrible parent, say's "Well, that sucks." in a monotone voice.

 

I would probably hate the new me.  But, then again, I probably would hold the same viewpoint of my personality then as I do now, so I don't know.

!Discorded Me would probably be aggressive and arrogant as all hell. Megalomaniac as well, since deep down, I think all of us thinks they know best how to fix the world and all of its flaws.

 

Discord is actually the villain that scares me the most out of all the antagonists we've seen in the show. The others were just the run-of-the-mill evil villains we see in practically every children's show that show up, laugh maniacally, and get defeated with no lasting damage.

 

Discord breaks through all of that and manages to twist your psyche as if it were so much taffy in his mismatched claws. To think that that which is supposed to be the domain of a person alone, untouchable by the outside world, can be carelessly violated by him, horrifies me who subscribes to Stoic ethics.

If I were to be discorded, I'd be lazy, carefree, immmature, and selfish. And that's something I wouldn't want to be, because that would tarnish the reputation I have with people I've helped with, as well as friends and family.

Hm, interesting question...I guess I would be sort of a snob because the one thing I usually am is friendly, so the "discorded" version would be really reserved, unfriendly and thinking I'm better than everyone else - basically not giving anyone the "time of day." However, my discorded version would probably be a lot more honest and less likely to talk about people behind their backs.

I'd probably become very stupid and unfriendly. I'd also become cold, the opposite of emotional. Colors wouldn't exist in my mind and all of my skills in art would all be gone, even the skill to make a single dot. Music would be my enemy and I would attack anyone who sings. I wouldn't hesitate to cuss the heck out of someone, because the normal me doesn't cuss.

The proper term is"deharmonized".

And if I was deharmonized, I'd be a brash-jerk-swagfag who doesn't care about story in videogames.

I would disagree, it seems like the "id" and "super ego" is left alone while the "ego" is the one changed. I do not fully understand these terms as I have never read any Freud before, but I do know that he got these ideas from Plato's logisticon, thumos, and epithumos (super-ego, ego, and id respectively). One’s passionate self (thumos) and basic animal desires (epithumos) are left the same while ones rational self (logisticon) is radically altered such that they are reversed in some ironic way. An example I will use here is Rarity, she still desires diamonds (albeit in a slightly more radical fashion), no mention to base animal desires are mentioned, yet she is unable to recognize (an action of the logisticon) the rock for what it actually is.

 

As to what mine would be, I think that I would scorn education to some ridiculous degree. I would also be an outgoing and fun person who did not care at all for the university and its ways.
