Scootaloo on her way to getting her cutie mark?

It just seems like with the recent development of Rainbow Dash taking Scootaloo under her wing, Scootaloo may be closer than ever to realizing her passion. As for Sweetie Bell and Apple Bloom, they seem to be stuck in the same rut, trying to be too much like their older sisters, and not exploring what they want to do with their life.

 

Well, what does everypony think? Will Scootaloo be the first of the Cutie Mark Crusaders to get her cutie mark?

She might, from the bond that started between her and Rainbow Dash, this just might be it. (I still think that he should've earned a long time ago, because of her talent when riding her scooter.)

I honestly think so. That is, if the creators of the show are actually planning on ever giving them their cutie marks. I feel like Scootaloo has lots of distinct talents--scooter riding, auto mechanics, choreography/dancing. So I wouldn't be surprised.

 

But, we'll have to see if they ever do anything else with Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash's bond. Will it just be something that was part of that episode, or will it actually be put into the rest of the series?

On the contrary, some could say Scootaloo was lagging behind before, and now that she has an 'older sister' of sorts to help her find her way, she's finally caught up to the other two. It's not like Rarity and Applejack are encouraging their sisters to be 'exactly like us'. They're helping, indirectly, steer their sisters into finding their talents. 

 

I, however, don't think having a sister figure helps or hinders their efforts. They don't know what they want to do with their lives, that's the whole point of them being the 'Cutie Mark Crusaders'. They're trying to figure it out. And if they discover their life's meaning by helping their sisters, does it mean they wouldn't have discovered it faster by themselves? Not necessarily.

True, but Scootaloo didn't grow up with a true blood sister that we know of, so her being obsessed with RD may have something to do with her never having a sister like Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle.

I think, what CMC shuld get thir marks at the same time. In one episode, to be precise. And, on this bais, Scoot must be first. She's pegasus after all

I think that she probably will be the first one to get her cutie mark of the group, considering the whole Rainbow Dash taking her under her wing thing. But you can never know, maybe they will get their cutie marks around the same time, like what the main 6 did because of the Sonic Rainboom.

That's funny, because I don't see that at all. It's natural for Bloom and Sweetie to look up to their sisters to some extent, but they are not trying to be exactly like them. Apple Bloom is very much an independent spirit and has been ever since the show started developing her character. Sweetie Belle and Rarity get along in spite of each other. Sweetie has a style of her own, but does not share Rarity's passion for clothes or high society aspirations.

 

So as great as Scoots' first episode was, I'm not going to read too much into it. She's not embarking on some big psychological journey that her friends are missing out on. She just has someone looking out for her now, like the other Crusaders do.

I honestly hope she doesn't get it soon. It would really complicate within the CMC's, I mean, the only reason they exist and are friends in the first place is because they don't have their cutie marks.

I agree that she was lagging before, and that now having a sister-figure to look up to has helped put her up to speed with Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle.

 

I have a feeling that like the Mane 6 they will all get their cutie marks in a single episode or event. Not sure exactly how, but Supernova has a point that not having cutie marks helped bond them together. Each of them getting a cutie mark at a different time doesn't really seem to go along with that theme. It should be all or nothing, and the event will only make their bond stronger.

Getting there cutiemarks at the same time seems very very unlikely, but not impossible.

 

Now, I believe that Scootaloo may get her cutiemark soon, but to be frank, I believe that what ever it is, it won't be in flying, I think it's going to be more stunt oriented. 

 

Her first goal is to stop trying to be just like Rainbow Dash, otherwise she will be further then ever.

Well, she's a young filly who's a fangirl of her idol Especially if you REALLY look up to somepony (like she does) of course it's natural to try to mirror them. With she and her young age (and immaturity) she's gonna like her idol a lot.

 

But there is a difference between looking up to someone who's not related to you and who is. It seems like if you look up to your big sister, you don't try to exactly mirror them completely since you know them inside and out, but when you idolize someone who you don't know as much, you disregard their bad attributes (whether you acknowledge them or not) and try to be just like them in hope that you can get the same recognition they do.

 

When Scoots ages a bit more, she will probably grow out of her fangirl-ness, but for now it's a cute thing to see her praise and almost worship Dash

I would love that. I want them to get their cutie marks and move on to the next stage of their lives, but I'd like them to get their marks all in one episode. Maybe in some drastic situation where they have to help the Mane 6 or do a major service for Ponyville.

I have high doubts about this. Just because Rainbow Dash said she would be a sister figure to Scootaloo, does not mean she is going to get her cutie mark first. Apple Bloom and Sweetie Bell have sisters they look up and they aren't even close to getting theirs. Also we don't know what this new relationship between the two means. It could be RD just helps Scootaloo out every now and again.

 

Scootaloo is not just going to abandon her the CMC just to be with Rainbow Dash. 

 

I will admit that the idea of one the CMC getting their cute mark before the other is an idea that could work. It would be a good episode to test their friendship. It 's just I don't see Scootaloo getting hers first. If anything Sweetie Bell is closer than her.

I think it would be neat to have a two part episode based around the CMC and they earn their cutie marks.  In my opinion, I hope it doesn't happen soon.  I really enjoy the CMC episodes and I love the theme about finding who you really are
