Did you... Just say.... A few?! Hahahahahahahahahahahaha A little more than a few, don't you think? On this forums alone there are what, 8,000 of us? And most bronies don't know about mlpforums.com anyways. I'm gonna take a guess and say its around 20k? 50? Idk.

Yes. Do you seriously think 20-50k is a lot?

There are more girls enjoying the toys then "bronies"

They are already making enouth money from the ones they have right now, and that gives them no reason what so ever to change their products to suit your needs.

The girls don't necessarily have to watch the show like we do.

But their moms buy the toys like crazy because its meant to be for girls.

Some people have mentioned in this forum that there are some custom toys that are a couple hundred dollars and I understand why Hasbro is reluctant to mass produce those but they I highly doubt it would cost that much to make Twilight actually look like Twilight.

JesusCrist I hate Hasbro toys, I prefer the fake ones.

Hasbro makes some good beyblades, so id prefer that more then the fakes.

I don't think that they can be neutral when it comes to toys, they should just have an entirely new production line for making toys that caters to bronies.

What bronies probably perceive as a cool car

img-1010696-1-l.jpg

I agree with you on that. I believe hasbro should make a line of toys mostly for us 13-99 year old bronies.

Also, pretty neat car. Nice wheels, the fact that it's a Boss 302 ford mustang (with 444 hp), nice hood scoop, but the 2 things that I dont get is the body kit and the fake carbon fiber hood.

You can always tell real carbon fiber because its always finished in a nice gloss and never matte.

Edit: actually im wrong. That might just be a real carbon fiber hood, since they are finished sometimes in matte.

To be honest, yes, it is VERY creepy HOWEVER, the toys were not meant for us Bronies and they never will. Like everypony here has said, Hasbro is ONLY catering towards the little girl audience and no amount of bickering will change that

If you REALLY want a badass MLP RC then buy a seperate RC car and a Blindbag Pony, stick the Blind Bag Pony into the car and there you go

Your very own, Non-girly MLP RC :P

Why did i never think of it. Somepony should make a video about rainbow dash in a rc car drifting ,that would be ultra awesome.

Trust me, there are WAAAY more than 20-50k bronies. Somewhere around 6 million would sound more fitting.

This includes parents and such.

Why would they make even more toys when the ones they have now sell so well anyway?

Its meant for girls and i don't think they mind the random accessories.

Not to mention, there are fan made accessories all over the Internet.

Well, just hypothetically...why not make more toys? If they created a new line for older fans and called it My Little Brony or something, would it hurt them? Would it cut into their profits from the regular toys? I don't see how. In the absence of decent merch for the bronies, a large cottage industry has sprung up all over the Internet and is taking in what could be their profits. It's not that I have a problem with this arrangement or that I want a brony toy line, but I have to wonder why Hasbro hasn't tried something like this yet, directly or through an affiliated brand.

Well, that's just sad right there.  Gosh dang, it's like one of those Barbie sets from the late 90's, but with half the effort and cost invested into it!!!    And seriously, will they NEVER get the manes right?  I mean, c'mon, if you can't get the mane down with real or synthetic hair, JUST MAKE PLASTIC MOLDS LIKE THE HOT TOPIC LINES!!!!!!!!!  NO LITTLE GIRL CARES THAT MUCH ABOUT BEING ABLE TO BRUSH AN INCH LONG MANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    Is she even supposed to be able to SIT in that car?  I don't see how one could bend that toy's limbs to sit appropriately at all!  Oh wow, it's just all so very sad!!!

I also agree with the ponys that sayed that hasbro should make a new toyline for us bronys. I mean really i think hasbro is just scared , and i also think because the brony toys will be better made and more expansive they would make more profit.

We don't really know that, the capital invested on machines and structure for producing the brony toys alone might be a huge loss if only a small portion of bronies are willing to pay $100+ for those toys.Keep in mind that in addition to the more complex design and higher quality material, smaller target market means way higher prices.

I don't think that most bronies would pay $20-40+ per custom toy clothing either.

Hasbro MLP FIM toys are ridiculous. 80% of the time you can't even tell whether you bought a MLP FIM product or not. And this RC sounds like a neat concept. But they destroyed it with the two buttons. Come on, Hasbro!

But still, you have to agree with CaptainBlue, they have to cater to litle girls too.

Why can't Hasbro just make some totally soft plushie toys? I'd happily buy my daughter one of those.

When I have a daughter that is.

Her name will be Alex. My son will be Issac.

She's going to be Ellen Ripley for Halloween. He gets to be Issac Clarke. Custom costumes for everyone. :D

But what is a brony merch?

Take some time to think about it.

A brony merch is basically a pony. And that is what they are giving.

If you don't like the accessories that comes with it, throw it away or get a simple standalone pony.

I do think it is upseting that Hasbro can't seem to make more show accurate toys. However, they do have to make sure that the franchise will always appeal to the target demographic. I don't think they made an R-C car toy to appeal to bronies since other franchises like Barbie have done the same in the past. Hasbro has made other products to appeal more to bronies such as the trading cards. The toys have to always appeal to girls bottem line. I don't know why they would make an R-C car for mlp, but I'm not part of Hasbro's marketing team. I'm pretty sure they didn't make it just for us though. They have to appeal to girls no matter what, making new but simple toys like this one are how they are desiding to do it. They are a business, bottem line. Bronies probably won't be around forever, but little girls will. Plus alot of us buy what they offer us including non-show accurate toys and figures even though we don't like that many of them still aren't show accurate, so why should they change the toys now?

I actually think that little RC car is cute as a button. And thanks to a bigger picture of it, I actually kinda want that now. (Although I am a bit confused by the two buttons..)

Anyway, most of Hasbro's MLP toys are targeted to girls. Or little girls, as many people have already stated.

They will cater to little girls because MLP (at least the toy portion of MLP) has always been, and always will be, mainly for little girls.

Not to say you can't ask for a small change, or a small "shout-out to bronies". Which Hasbro seems to have already done quite a few times now.

People asked and complained for a white Celestia. We now have at least 2 or 3 white Celestia toys.

People asked for a Nightmare Moon toy. We now have one.

People asked for Zecora. We now have two of those.

People asked for Derpy. We now have the comic con fashion-style Derpy, and the vinyl Derpy.

applejackhasahat.jpg

I mean hell, look at that! There is now an Applejack brushable that finally comes with her hat (although the hat is green, for some reason. But it's a step in the right direction!)

Hell, Hasbro went and made blue, silver, and black easy-bake ovens because a little boy wanted one in boy-like colors.

If enough people ask and complain, Hasbro seems to make things happen sometimes~

As for show-accurate toys... ehh... I've said it before and I'll say it again; to me, the toys look show-accurate. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and what I see as show-accurate someone else will say otherwise.

...Maybe Hasbro could start by having Applejack's freckles being already painted onto her face, and maybe fixing Rainbow Dash's eyes so they look more like the cartoon. *shrug*

You need to remember that Hasbro is the publisher, not the creator of the show, so they aren't directly focusing on making it directly related to the show. Terrible renditions of toys/movies/games come when they aren't made by the same people who made what it's based on.

It isn't that great of an rc, but atleast it doesn't just keep going forward until you hit the one button to go backwards and turn. Same concept though but you control forwards as well (one button goes forward, the other makes it go backwards and spin to point in the direction you want).

I walk past that every night while at work and you can push the buttons through the package as a try me feature. All the buttons seem to do is make honks, play the theme song, or make Twilight say "Yippee!" or "woo hoo!" (I should know, I push them multiple times a night and hearing Twilight say yippee cracks me up every time). Just to note, it doesn't actually sound like twilight, in fact it makes the same sounds from the pinkie pie car and those do not sound like pinkie either.

I'm tempted to buy it for the "Yippee" alone...

Guys. Seriously.

Since when has a toy company made show-accurate toys for any TV show?

I remember when Teen Titans toys came out. They were plastic and not bad, but there were a couple of things wrong with them:

1. Raven's cloak was the wrong color

2. They added a TON of extra sets and vehicles that were not canon to the show, and the ones that were canon were not made into toys.

And Sailor Moon? They all had the wrong wands and transformation pens, their eyes looked funny, and they never even made a Sailor Saturn doll.

I think that compared to those, I say Hasbro does a pretty dang good job with show accuracy. Although my mane gripe is that they don't have cutie marks on both sides.

The thing is that girls love to brush hair. So whoever said that little girls don't care about brushing hair is definitely not a girl and probably has never met one. If you want molded hair, buy the blind bags and the Hot Topic figures. Or do what I did and learn to style hair. My pony manes look pretty dang good.

I am honestly sick of hearing people whine and moan about Hasbro not making toys perfect for us. The fact of the matter is that Hasbro tries their darndest to cater to the bronies while keeping the little girls in mind. Hasbro loves bronies. We revived a dead franchise. Their current approach to their toyline is raking in the big bucks. So why should we demand that they change anything just for us?

Listen, I like perfect toys just as much as the next brony, but instead of expecting the corporation to give me exactly what I wanted, I gave them my money for trying and then made my own fixes. Learn to be creative before you complain.

I am so sick and tired of seeing these threads. They are the same thing and the same complaints and the same lack of creative solutions. The same laziness that expects large companies to give us exactly what, and if they don't, then the company is being stupid and evil for not catering to our individual needs. Stop it. Grow up.

If you don't like their merchandise, then don't buy it. The reason why Pinklestia is still on shelves? No one bought her. And now that she is white, people are buying her. That is how it works. Anyone who works at a company that sells products knows this. But companies take a LONG time to change things. It takes months to develop anything new. Lots of meetings and hours working are put into these toys. Grow up and get a job, and you will see.

That is my rant for the day. Merry Christmas!

As an employee of Toys R Us, I can tell you that Hasbro is not completely incompetent, despite what many believe. They have lots of this girly girl nonsense, but then they have stuff like cool brony wallets as well, on the same shelves. Appealing to both audiences best they can. They could still improve on both fronts I think, but it's not like they expect bronies to grab every piece of merch they make.

But if they did that, it would *gasp* cost them extra money!

Okay, seriously, I wish they made more show accurate toys too, plushies in particular. I find it strange that I can find a Rainbow Dash plush on Amazon that looks more accurate than anything I've seen at the store that's licensed by Hasbro.

I'm a bit confused how you control any RC car with only two buttons. Unless it's forward and backward, in which case I think they might've underestimated intelligence of little girls.
