I'm writing my first fanfic (have been for awhile now) in it, Celestia and Luna have created an elite organization. It's numbers culled from the very best ponykind has to offer, civilians and military alike. They serve as diplomats, spies, spec-ops, overseers, detectives, assassins, and all around trouble shooters. They are hoof chosen by either Princess based on extraordinary merit and good character. They are not bound by the law of any nation, nor the command of any authority, save the word of Their Majesties. They are the Knight-Agents! . . . .   TM  -_-

 

If that sounds familiar, yes I was inspired by the Spectres. Sue me! What I would request of you, my fellow bronies, is a proper insignia for this elite corp. An actual illustration is not required, just an idea for what to use. A shield, and alicorn, something more abstract?

Why does everyone seem to think that this franchise needs to be "edgy"?

Anyway, try this, made it up a while ago for some humanized art, might make a good badge.

Here you go, sorry if it's a bit rough around the edges! The star is a symbol of both the night and the sun. The dark purple represents Princess Luna, while the yellow represents Celestia. The top point is styled like a unicorn horn, the middle two like pegasus wings, and the bottom two are the "legs" of the star, representing earth ponies. This shows how citizens from all walks of life are employed by the princesses for this, as well as the alicorn nature of the princesses. Stars also tend to demonstrate a special status or significance, and so there the symbolism is completed.

I don't know, this one is kind of dark colored, it features a black and red hurricane aswell as a unicorn with a red glowing eye, it's a little excessive maybe but I tried.

Well, my wings are kind of tied with this one. It's a Conversion Bureau fic, the Knight-Agents were founded in response to threats against Equestria from Earth (and vice versa.) The organization is composed of both Newfoul and natural born ponies, but all must exhibit a desire to protect ALL forms of life and both worlds. E.g. they are "edgy" by necessity. Members are individuals of course. The average Knight-Agent isn't brooding atop a skyscraper in the vein of Batman, they're supposed to be discreet but unabashed saviors. Taking on problems and bad guys with whatever makes them special. Like the Mane Six if they were officially commissioned as a para-military unit.

Oh I REALLY like this one!   Perhaps with the wings being more feathery, but the insignia looks great and your reasoning for it is sound.
