After watching like 20 episodes of this black and white tv show today, I rediscovered why I liked it so much before.  If you don't know what Twilight Zone is, its a TV show that was made in the 50s that usually ended with an unexpected twist. The show usually had a sci-fi or horror feel to it.  In my opinion it was one of the best tv shows ever put on TV.  

 

May I ask what you guys' favorite episode is?  

My personal favorite is "To Serve Man"

I love Twilight Zone , and I've been watching it today as well. I also like "To Serve Man" as well "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" (the one with William Shatner) and "Time Enough at Last." Their all pretty awesome though.   The one with the talking doll creeps me out

That doll is friggen creepy.  "Hi my name is talking Tina, and I'm going to kill you."  Talking in the lifeless voice, much like Hal from 2000.  That is a great episode though.

I've been watching the Twilight zone myself. I'm not very far into it, although I have heard "to serve man" is good. I just finished a Christmas special episode where it appears that they switched from film to video, and the quality went down.

Yeah, the TV show has had many rebirths and honestly as it goes on the quality goes down with it.  Glad your enjoying it thus far.

This show is amazing. It's as immortal as the lady in "Queen of the Nile."

 

My personal favorite episodes are Nightmare as a Child, Miniature, Deaths-Head Revisited, Night Call, and The Last Rites of Jeff Myrtlebank.

Holy god, I love the Twilight Zone!

 

My dad used to watch it when he was younger. Now me and him watch it together when I occasionally record it. We love the good old-fashioned, classy-but-stinging barbs and digs the characters sometimes make on each other.

This is awesome. This topic. Is awesome. I literally just found out today how much I like this old show! Anyway, my favorite out of the few I've see is the one where the girl lives in a futuristic Earth where everyone looks the same. She keeps trying to get her family to understand why she doesn't want to undergo the "transformation" but they keep thinking she's crazy. The episode ends with the girl getting the transformation against her will and being brainwashed by her own beauty into thinking she's happy. This episode was my favorite out of the ones I saw because of how true it was. This girl wanted to be different and the society around her would not allow it. It reminds me a lot of us nowadays. And it made me sad. But it was also awesome. So a win-win situation! Great show, The Twilight Zone! I'm looking forward to watching more!

Ooh, Twilight Zone!! To be perfectly honest, I didn't care much for To Serve Man... Of course, that's one of the most famous episodes, so you know what's going to happen when you watch it. I guess I must have been disappointed with the presentation? It wasn't bad, it just.. Could have been better, I guess. I liked the scene at the UN, though.

 

I also don't know a lot of the episode names, but if The Obsolete man is the one I am thinking of, that's one of my favorites. Ooh, such chilling revenge. >u< The rest of my favorites involve astronauts in one fashion or another, especially the one where the guys are picking up the prisoner with the robot wife on the meteor, and the one with the two guys who find the civilization of tiny people.

 

Oh, and any of the episodes involving the/a devil. Like the one with Shatner, or the gangster, or the guy who wished to look younger.

 

And I know there's some happier episodes that I like, but I am not remembering them right now. XD

Twilight Zone original series FTW!! Epic brohoof Dusty - my housemate and I went on a Twilight Zone marathon a while back and it was an awesome journey ...but you're asking me to choose just ONE!? That's like asking Pinkie Pie to choose between two different parties! It just can't be done!! O_o But here are my top few favourites from the first (1958) series in order:

 

I shot an arrow into the air (ep 15)

What you need (ep 12)

One for the angels (ep 2

A nice place to visit (ep 28)

 

What does it for me is a story that casts human nature in a strange light and shows just how irrational and crazy we can be ! I think part of the appeal is the broad spectrum of sci fi too - everything from aliens to angels to seemingly mundane situations that turn out to be something else entirely!

This show is truly a timeless classic it is entertaining, trippy and has some existential truths. My favorite episode is The Obsolete Man it is an episode where this man who lives in a police state similar to that depicted in George Orwell's 1984 is set to be executed because he is deemed by the state to be "obsolete". I really think that everyone who says we should give up liberty for "security" is worth it watches this and thinks carefully about what they are advocating.

"The Night of the Meek" is not only my favorite Twilight Zone episode, it's one of my all time favorite Christmas stories ever. Another of my favorites is "One for the Angels" where a kindly old salesman uses all his skills as a pitchman to distract Death from claiming a little girl. Both of these episodes tear me up every time I see them.
