New addition to the administration team

As the community continues to grow, the existing administration has found their attention being constantly tugged away at from numerous different directions all at once. With that in mind, after a bit of discussion and hair-pulling (for those of us with hair to pull, that is) it was determined that the time had come to bring on another Community Administrator. 

 

And who better for ensuring the continued harmony of this wonderful community than a bloke named...

 

Chaotic Discord

 

Though recruited as a moderator relatively recently, Chaotic Discord has proven himself an invaluable resource from both a moderation standpoint, and more importantly from a project management standpoint. CD's boundless enthusiasm and energy have proven important beyond measure in getting a couple neglected projects back on-track for integration and deployment. 

 

By elevating CD to an administration position we've given him access to the tools he needs in order to get things like the mythical "Octavia's Hall Critics" initiative dusted off and ready to go, allowing him to serve as an unofficial project manager of sorts for the team.

 

Given CD's proven track record of good judgement and even-handedness we have no doubt that he will perform admirably in his new role.

 

TL;DR: Less work for Zoop. Zoop approves.

Wow, I'm surprised. I wasn't at all expecting an extremely active, helpful, and kind moderator to be promoted. What kind of world is this? I didn't know that doing good things got you rewarded.

In the short time I have been at this site Chaotic Discord has been fair and even handed moderator and a pretty cool guy so congratulations to him.

I remember the silly filly was only a Unicorn when I first joined. How the times pass.

 

Anyhow, this man completely deserves it. His hard work on the forums, his dedication, and his past experiences in forum administration, for me, see him completely fit for the job. Not to mention he's a jokester and loves to welcome newbies into the forums.

To say the least, I am not surprised. Not in the slightest. Even before ~CD~ was a Global Moderator I thought he'd make a great staff member, then he became a moderator. And only a week ago I thought to myself "CD's been doing a whole ton for the forums, I bet he'd make a good administrator." The thought crossed my mind, however I brushed it off as I thought "Nah they got enough admins."

Clearly, I was wrong.

 

I've been told enough to know that administrators of all types have their work cut out for them, and even after the additional admins of "Trainloads Episode II" I should have guessed things would still be crazy.

 

~Chaotic Discord~ is an amazing choice as a community admin and no doubt will bring this forum far. From what I've seen of him and his maintenance throughout the forums, from moderation duties to completely cleaning things up and doing the things most people would rather not use their time on. His motivation gives him the strength to complete anything he feels will help something he loves. In this case, the forums.

 

Although I can't help but find it a little unusual that there is an equal number of Global Moderators as there are to Community admins... Perhaps I'm just OCD, but the even number of members per staff group pleases me greatly. Yes, Silver like...

 

Anyways, I'm happy to see Discord got the position he truly deserved. My congratulations to Chaotic Discord! I wish you good luck in the future.

This is an incredibly smart move on the staff's part in my opinion. From what I see, Chaotic has the dedication, vision, and skill-set to rise higher up as an official on the site. Looking forward to see what kinds of things MLPF can achieve under his tenure.

What a time for the Draconequus to get promoted, hmm? Four days before the next episode of MLP airs in which you know who has you know what happen to them

 

Much like with my staff ascension the first round, I had a vague idea that this might be happening at some point in the future. Unlike the previous time though, in which I had it narrowed down to a matter of days due to some hints, this came out of the blue and I was completely taken by surprise and blind-sided. I had passed out at eight after work, woke up at midnight to go poni online for a bit, went on Skype, and something along the lines of the following occurred:

 

Hey. Got some time?

 

Possibly. What does thou require :3

 

The Feldlympians have been discussing your swag levels. We have all come to the unanimous agreement that Mount Feldlympus requires that omniscient presence of yours in our God Mod team. I speak on behalf of all of us when I ask, U game?

 

Hmmmm, why yes, I believe I have room in my schedule for some more chaos spreading opportunities. By which I mean spreading harmony among the community's members, of course...naturally. (crossed fingers)

I'm happy that I can now be far more self-sufficient. Once I become fully comfortable with the curious ACP controls and where things are located, I'll hardly have to bug the Zooper, chicken or Feldster himself for when I need to accomplish something through the CP. I'm also pleased to see that I have yet another unofficial title for myself. Unofficial Maintenance & Project Manager. Sweet.

 

The eternal feedback loop of work, friends, do good work, rewarded with a broader scope of work But hey, if it means Zoop now has more time to shine his head and cosplay Mr. Clean instead of losing his marbles further over Mod Disputes that I can now help with (you're all screwed, run), then I'm happy to take on the role.

CD definitely would've been my choice for ascension to adminhood. Now instead of having to bother admins to get approval for all his good ideas, he can just do them. Awesome

I support this 100%. When I joined he was still just a regular member making cool posts and naturally supporting all things Discord. As a moderator he didn't change a bit and performed his duties admirably. On a recent occasion when things were getting out of hand in a thread and I didn't think anyone was watching or helping, he was there when we needed him.

 

Congratulations, CD. May you excel in this new position and take just a little more of the weight off Feld0's shoulders.
