I have seen both. I love em. (I prefer TLA but they're both great) The movie was a tad disappointing though sadly. But the show is greatly animated and I love the characters and story. Overall amazing show that I've rewatched quite a few times.

yeah i like them both too it is a pretty good show but the movie really sucked bad because it wasn't that good as i expected though.

I love the Avatar series.

 

While I think that Aang series is a little better than Korra, I love them both a lot.

I personally think that Sokka has shown some of the best character development in an animated show I've ever seen.

I agree. I love avatar!!! not so sure about legend of korra.....but it seems intersting enough. TLA was WAY better though. ^^) Toph is best! TOPH IS BEST! She is not toph! she is melon lord! MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!

I loved the first series, I kinda like Korra, but I prefer the original.  The show was perfect in animation, story, and characters.  I honestly didn't hate the movie, I actually kinda liked it, the only real thing that got me was the speed and the friggen mis-pronunciation of the characters.

Korra was I think for a older water but young effect

Would you hate me if I said, I half disliked The Legend of Korra? It had it's fair share of moments, but damn. That ending was rather anti-climatic, and the story a bit rushed at moments. Loved that more mature feeling to the series though, that was actually a great move on their part.

The Last Airbender blows my mind every time I watch it! I will watch the whole series from beginning to end over and over! It is so well written and so.... Mindblowingly amazing! I didn't even see the live action movie. I must not! I will not! But it is number two my top three favorite series. Seriously. It's amazing. Everything about that show is perfect. I have watched the first season of Legend of Korra and I admit, it is very well done as well! It is good for people who are previous fans as well as those who are completely new to the series. But to me, there is nothing like the original! And NOBODY can even touch the writing, animation and role of Sokka. Sokka is always my favorite character out of anybody.

I've seen and love both, but I do not like the movie at all.  Just about everything that could go wrong in the movie went wrong, but thankfully The Legend of Korra premiered last year and has me looking forward to a bright future for the world of Avatar: TLA/LOK.
  It's already looking brighter based on the fact we have three more seasons on the way thanks to the success of Book One - Air.  I cannot wait to see the new gang and more flashbacks of the old gang.

I've seen both ATLA and LOK. I think ATLA is much better than LOK since it has a good storyline and more interesting character. In the first episode, Korra already mastered the three elements. That's not interesting enough. There's not enough thrill in it. In ATLA, Aang must learn the other three elements during that war. DURING A WAR! Imagine that. Finding a master to the Northern Water Tribe, in the Earth Kingdom, and the most interesting is Zuko as his firebending master. Zuko also has many interesting conflicts and character developments. How he's the Fire Lord's son, his sister Azula, his uncle Iroh. Those characters affect him so much on his journey on finding the truth. Favourite episode of the series? Sozin Comet Part 1 and 2.

I personally like this series because I'm a martial artist.

I watched almost all of season 1 on Nick, maybe half of season 2, and like the last 5 episodes of season 3, but I didn't see the last episode.

 

The movie, I thought, was pretty good. I honestly wish they'd make a sequel. No, I have not yet seen the Legend of Korra.

Yes, yes and yes. I love both. So much, in fact, that I'm currently writing my dissertation about it.

I also have the entire series of TLA on DVD, as well as the art book. 

 

Anyway, over all, I prefer TLA to Korra. However, if we're doing a season by season comparison, then in my opinion Season 1 of Korra (currently the only season) is far better then season 1 of TLA... but that's just me.To be honest, I found season 1 of TLA a bit of a hit and miss. Season 2 and 3 blew me away, it had some of the best character development I've ever seen in a cartoon series.

 

Now, let's never talk about the live action film.

Avatar is best non-pony show.

 

I preferred TLA to Korra. The characters just seemed more appealing in it. Just... the entire cast. (Iroh is best character) I love each and every one of them. Except Azula. That chick needs to be thrown in the crazy house.

 

 

 

It's not all funny stuff though. There are parts that make you have the feels too. Like this part.

Yes I have seen both and in case you are wondering my username is a reference to the show. The last airbender had a lot going for it, humor, action, great plot and character development, interesting story and settings. And The Legend of Korra though it has barely even started has much of that same potential and I am eagerly awaiting new episodes whenever they get here.

I loved the shows (The Last Airbender more than Lengend of Korra). It had good animation, humor and plot. Plus martial arts; who doesn't love martial arts? The characters were all unique and interesting to watch, with my personal favorites being Toph and Zuko.

 

Zuko got a lot development. Someone already mentioned that so I get into that. Toph's personality is just awesome and the times when she makes jokes using her blindness are just too funny. I guess it's just the sacarsm and the blind martial artist concept.

last year, there was ashow group doing an avatar based play on a con I went to, and in all the scenes betten irho and toph, he would say things like: long time no see or See you later...it was hilarious
