Why is it that Giant Applejack is popular nowadays? Especially considering she's usually depicted teasing a much smaller Rainbow Dash...

Don't worry about it, Flyer. It's just one of those trends in the fandom that is far beyond the understanding of an infant pegasus such as yourself.

 

But if you really are curious, it looks to me like its something that happened to Applejack by accident, and she started using her newly titanic size for the defense of Equestria. I don't completely understand how it makes sense either, but the artists will be artists.
