Let's show Hasbro that we care! C'mon!

I think it would be better to lobby south american governments, Israel , etc and get  prominent politicians to threaten hasbro of banning their show and products on those region as well as internet blockade. When was the last time a corporation respond to petitions and peaceful protest?

tho the mane 6 dev should've just passed the codes to people in countries not affected by US copyright laws and get em to finish it.

Are you serious? They have their own problems to deal with, and the US can't even make that threat due to having no control entertainment media past making sure something illegal isn't be done to produce it.

Also, Boycott = Bad idea, we don't want to make this seem like a attack on them.

I don't think you understand how lobbying works, every single non dictator politician can be bought and if there are enough broneis with cash then a complete ban worldwide could even happen. We could start placing economic sanctions on them by lobbying countries outside North America to completely ban MLP related products/content until they meet our demands, if they do not comply then we work double time to go lobby against various shareholder and the CEO.

But of course I highly doubt that anyone would agree with me.

Yes I do, I also watched SOPA go down in flames for violating the same freedom of speech rights, and it actually had a justified looking purpose on paper.

Negative publicity alone and paying politicians to appear on tv to demonize Hasbro and make bogus documentaries about how MLP negatively affects the growth of little girls and cause adult viewers to commit mass shootings would probably work and America's #1 'news' network seems to be doing just that.If it could cause an outcry at violent video games then I'm sure that the brainwashed masses will buy the story.

Finding out where the CEO and major shareholders invest their $ then making laws to make sure they make a huge monetary loss will be a great message too.

I think you're over-reacting, big time. it'e like Sparks says, we're not trying to start a war with anyone here, just make our voices heard, getting something through fear and force always comes back to bite you in the flank.

@@Shoboni,

Why so pacifist? wouldn't it be entertaining to ensure that the CEO and every single shareholder becomes some homeless?

Besides, petitions and protests will never work and they'll keep doing this to quality fan content.

That's two petitions about this I've signed now. There's another one somewhere on my little Brony that I signed as well. Hopefully they'll just see two petitions with 1000's of names and pay attention.

No, no it wouldn't, you're suggesting taking out a decision made my the bosses, out on everyone that works for the company right down to the guy that scrubs the toilets at night.

That would also be taking it out on all the writers and VAs that work for them.

No, I'm suggesting we go after the boss and shareholders too.We can find out where their investments are and use both laws and markets to completely destroy them financially or we could get them charged with human rights abuse and 20 years prison when they're in third world countries for vacation.

I'm sure that the VA , writers and toilet scrubbers will find a new job.

I just really do not know what to say at this point, I really don't. You're suggesting destroying the lives of people that may not even know what's going on over a cartoon.

I'd say you're going about 80% past reasonable there. I mean, your current suggestion involves committing crimes in every country on the planet (mostly bribery) with the intent of putting every single person who owns Hasbro stock in prison. Heck, 80% overboard is pretty lenient. I believe I speak for a large portion of the community when I say we don't want to punish people, we want them to change their mind. I'd much rather have Fighting is Magic ready to play than destroy Hasbro and MLP along with ruining numerous lives.

You know what, I was about to sign and then I realized something. Think back to before you became bronies, or when you try to convince others to become bronies. Did the whole "there's at least 10 million people that AREN'T little girls that love the show" argument ever work? Nope. and for those who started spreading it on 4 chan, did you notice the "why your opinion is important to you" button? If we have people coming from well, 4 chan coming to sign it or check it out, imagine the kinds of things that could be put in that innocent looking box.

Thats a good worry to have, but not all Anons from 4chan are inconsiderate assholes.

It doesn't have to necessarily be because of them either. Any hater could stumble across it and do the same thing.

And I doubt a hater would sign it just to make a vulgar comment. That's still helping us out should that comment get flooded by other good ones. It doesn't make the most sense to do such a thing and Im sure most could tell that that particular one was done by someone who doesn't like bronies to begin with.

Good point. But one more thing, "I personally vow to not purchase a single Hasbro product until I find evidence that this petition or its message has been enacted, and hope that others signing this petition do as well although I do not intend signing as any declaration of such intent. I have purchased from Hasbro in the past, and until now had planned to do so in the future."

Good way to keep friendly relations with hasbro, eh?

Huh, that's something...

I mean, we can't necessarily prevent everyone form writing something like that. Since it is on the internet of course.

1 person out of hundreds or thousands shouldn't do much, especially since the main point of the petition is just asking can they continue it on, not threatening to not buy their merchandise as that one person states.

Still, the signers (more than 2,000 by the end of tomorrow, just watch) of the petition are all making that claim, even if it's not the main point.

Sorry for the double post. I just wanted to ask, even though I don't think this is an entirely good idea, is it safe to give out my address? For all I care, they could start messing with my (and everypony elses) if they get mad at us. And does it make a difference if a fake one's used?

I think Hasbro will release a statement on why they did this to Fighting is Magic. But, I'm pretty sure they are waiting until everypony calms down a bit.

That time won't be for a while. The community is still gonna fight for the game. As I have read, Fighting is Magic was planning to be freeware and not put up for profit.

That was something I personally put in the language of the petition, and as noted I insist that signing the petition does not constitute any agreement with that statement. I wanted to make it clear to Hasbro that their action WOULD lose them money compared to theoretical alternatives, though perhaps I could have stated the possibility of other actions by Hasbro that would also be acceptable for removing my boycott.

Hmm, longer we stay mad about this, the longer we have to wait to understand why it happened in the first place. Dammit, now we look stupid.

It's actually cooled down to a smolder pretty quick, I woke up and got on the computer this morning and everyone had pretty much moved on to damage control just overnight.

Unfortunately, that's how some fan-communities are. As I said in an post, Hasbro pulled a major fallacy on Mane6. They canned it because of fear of using their content for popularity. This is going to be a freeware, and because of that, the copyright infringement is invalid.

Well, they still haven't released a statement yet, so we can't know the reasons exactly. *coughs then gestures over to everypony still being angry, including me*
